Really should've been this way all along, lots of variety in what I can use and run, though in terms of fighting enemies it can be somewhat challenging to dedicate too much to one range but in a good way. I'm really looking forward to the new Strikes and Raid because of this. Good job Bungo, PvE is going to be awesome.
...and as for PvP I really don't care as long as the amount of complaints doesn't cause sandbox changes that also ruin things in PvE like in D1. Also keep in mind we don't have any Y2 mods or armor with perks yet; got a helmet for my Hunter that has an option between increased target acquisition, range, and faster ADS for either Fusion Rifles or all primary weapons and my Warlock got robes with a perk that reduces flinch while ADS with Snipers.

I HATE the changes for PvP and I LOVE the changes in PvE.
-
You are so not alone. I am feeling so empowered in PvE, it's not funny. PvP too, I'm finding that Vigilance and Main Ingredient make a really nice pairing. VW bridges pulse and auto ranges, and MI annihilates threats that get close. PvE, I was just rocking Riskrunner, Paradox, and a linear fusion. I almost completed R1 Escalation singlehanded.

1 RespuestaBump! I was actually fine with the D2 Weapon slots as they were, I liked the fact that, for example, I could switch between Better Devils and Manannan really quickly, but now it's all changed up... I can still do that, BUT my Telesto and Main Ingredient are now in the Energy Weapons slot (which is where they should have been at the start), and I gotta say it feels a bit like D1 again and it's great! Cleared EP last night twice and pretty much all I used was Telesto the whole time... there was so much Green Ammo lying about it was ridiculous.

Its great and feels like Destiny should feel. Amen. Whiners will whine and boy, do they whine loud.

I love bacon <3

1 Respuesta
Really should've been this way all along
The dual primary weapon system was terrible and never should have happened.

https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/248185983/0/0 These are my thoughts and what I think should be changed after getting different opinions on the new update. Please share your ideas and if you think anything is correct or not. Thanks.

1 RespuestaIts a step in the right direction, but I think the changes are fantastically underwhelming. Having the weapons share ammo was a silly idea. I'll be watching the DLC intently to see how the new weapons and mods pan out.

6 RespuestasI do have some problems with the new system, but it’s mostly because many shotguns, snipers, and fusions can’t be used in the power slot anymore. Without machine guns, and with swords being so weak in pve, I feel like I have no options in power slot unless I use my exotic allowance so that I can use tractor cannon or acrius (and I don’t have an acrius so...) which limits me pretty significantly. I also feel like linear fusion rifles are just slow sniper rifles. Since they flinch, it’s difficult to justify using them in crucible, or pve. Anyhow... With regards to primary balance for pve, I think a change that needs to be made, to compensate for auto rifle having both bad damage and range, is that all auto rifles should have their magazines increased by 20% or so, and improve the appended mag and extended mag perks across all weapons to give better buffs to mag size — especially extended, which cripples your reload speed for a few extra bullets.

I thought that we could put any weapon in any slot because of the way ammo was reworked. I don’t like it now because i can’t run half of my older loadouts. I know it’s like d1 but I liked the d2 loadout system a lot as well. I just have too many energy weapons and not enough heavy weapons right now and I still would like to put my shotguns, fusions, and snipers in my heavy slot so I can use up less energy slots
-
3 RespuestasI'm not yet convinced the balance is where it needs to be, but I'm all in favor of the overall TtK reduction and slot changes. This iteration of Crucible has by far the most potential yet. But they need to get the skill-based matchmaking out of quickplay. -blam!- that bullshit.
-
Not a fan of how the ammo works. Some of the previously valid loadouts are now almost worthless when you use the same ammo pool for your primary and special slots. Other than that, I like being able to have more variety.

2 RespuestasI dont like the change, I LOVE IT!!!!!

Editado por VVeenus5060: 8/30/2018 5:30:57 PMI like the changes for the most part.. What I don't understand is why my favorite shotguns were the only weapons that were forced into the primary slot and nothing else... It literally means I cant run my favorite shotgun and the primary I want to run together... It actually kinda d of pisses me off... There isn't a sniper nor a fusion rifle that I have seen yet that was forced into the primary slot... To me that is just ludacris to me... Yea great I can run 2 shotguns and a rocket launcher that I spawn with 2 rounds each and no grenade launcher ammo... If they were gonna do that they should have made them interchangable as long as u only ran one kinetic and 1 energy weapon... Or maybe even 2 kinetic don't see anything on about that... Hell I would have rather them left it as heavy over moving it to the primary slot only... And I despise the infusion requirements... I think this were cause less weapon diversity because people are gonna upgrade fewer weapons because the cost is so steep so in turn there would be less weapons variations especially for anyone new coming into the game... Just my opinion it's mine and doesn't represent anyone else's but mine... I'm not saying its the gospel.. I have day one d1 experience with nearly 2000 hrs in d1 and a ton in d2.. Never tracked my d2 hrs Edit: I just read that fridge jackal is now in the primary slot... But still don't like em n the primary slot... I think they should be interchangable So I can run my favorite primary with my favorite secondary.. 1 energy and 1 kinetic or 2 kinetics... Shouldn't matter

4 RespuestasThe refreshing part is it's no longer Antiope D / Vigilance Wing , Graviton Lance / Hope , some heavy weapon meta any more. We have options for a week or 2 before the new Meta gets defined. Enjoy your brief freedom of choice :)

2 RespuestasI am a little disappointed with the changes. Well maybe not overall, but it is now impossible to play how I used to in pvp. I was told if I wanted to play how I used to in D1 I could and if I wanted to play how I used to in D2 I could, but I can't. Two primaries and a Fusion are now (as far as I'm aware) impossible. Even if it is possible, that Fusion is not the Main Ingredient. Like I said the new changes are good, but I was hoping we would be able to choose the slots for more weapons.
-
The main aspect about this that I feel absolutely should have been there from the beginning: SLOT based infusion. I don't know who had the bright idea to change it to type-based but that was a mistake. Finally I can actually put all those worthless SMGs and Sidearms to some use.

4 RespuestasI absolutely love the changes. Being able to 1v2 and 1v3 in crucible now is so much fun. There is a trade off for everything of course. The moments when you slide around a corner and get instantly shotgunned will always make you sigh in disappointment. But every mode will have radar soon. So the only persons fault that it is is you (unless it's an invis hunter). Hot tip, Telesto? Absolute BEAST. Also, before everyone gets focussed on PvP and stuff that you play after the PvE content is done please go try and play a strike, a raid, or heck even a story mission. IT'S SO MUCH FUN. YOU FEEL POWERFUL, FINALLY! No more tinking down a knights health with two freakin primaries, special ammo is plentiful and fun to use. Also to anyone who says it's unfair to run 3 shotguns that load out is actual trash. Special ammo weapons SHARE ammo. You will run out of ammo extremely fast, it will not be fun.

Came here just to say love that Avatar... That glow on the halo1 sword was never seen again probably because its graphically brutal on gpu(back in early 2000s)
-
4 RespuestasWell, it might take a bit of getting used too. I went with a shotgun, auto rifle and rocket launcher load-out for the Milestones today. Was surrounded by shielded knights doing the Warsat. Decided to pull the shotgun out and waste 'em. Of course, what do you normally do to activate your shotgun? Hold down the select button and open fire. Which I did. KABOOM. Guardian down.
-
I did not know you wanted the Telesto to have the same deadly range as the Graviton Lance, congrats, DIPTARD!
-
1 RespuestaThese changes are really good and in crucible running with a shotgun your not given a lot of ammo any way which makes it balanced and with damage increased for all primary weapons your able to shut them down before they even get to you.
-
Until they bring back Truth with 3 rounds i won't be satisfied. Still salty about that nerf.
-
I like the changes as well. Really enjoy running Frigid Jackal sniper as my primary, a scout as my secondary, and DARCI as my power. Really, its fun.
-
Yup as a PVE player the changes are perfect in my opinion. The load out possibilities are endless.

Alone as a god, basically and energy weapon (not special) and sleeper or whisper.
