People are never happy. No one is making you WAIT hours for the event except yourselves. You don't HAVE to get the gun the day it comes out. FFS just be happy that Bungie is adding stuff like this back to the game. Most people want something to grind for, at least that's been the feedback, but OMG the World is ending if YOU don't get it right away. #ToxicCommunity

Toxic community comes from 0 communication on bungies end. Like someone else said a simple tweet would have prevented the frustration of wasted time. Toxicity comes from the elitists who play this game more than any casual.
-
There is a difference between getting it right away, and a chance at getting it right away. Give me the opportunity to fail as many times as I need to to get it right with a group of people who are willing to work with me. Don't give me the opportunity to fail, if I am lucky enough to be around at the right place, at the right time, based on random numbers. It takes something which was interesting, creative, and obviously took tremendous resources to create, and turns it into something less the optimal...for no reason other than because they wanted it that way.
-
The community wanted more things to chase and that's not easily obtainable but the minute Bungie does that now it's wrong. They've already said they are looking into the frequency of the spawning. I don't know what else people want.
-
Wanted more things to do....check they got it right. Wanted an object to chase....check they got that right. Made it so the ability to play was rng based....X they got that wrong. Make it as hard as you want, but allow me the chance to try. Put another way...how about you try to join a heroic strike, and when you spawn into the room you are sent back into orbit....for 10 hours...and the next time you get to try is next weekend, maybe, unless it just happens again... If I can get 3, 4, or 6 people who want to do activity X, they should be able to do activity X. This is not a faction rally, iron banner, or any seasonal event....this is just an activity.
-
They were trying to do something interesting with it besides just making it a flagged event that anyone could walk up to and start. I don't think it would have been as exciting if it was just like any other quest. It was a cool thing for the community to figure out how to even get it started. I'm sure they'll re-examine how it was done. The community at large though really needs to learn how to give constructive criticism instead of just hurling insults at Bungie; that doesn't accomplish anything. They aren't out to ruin people's day despite what some think.
-
Wow, you missed the whole point of the thread. Sure, the event is random, but when the randomness goes against you 13+ times in a row, something is up. Flip a coin 13 times and get heads every time. And when that happens during a time of peak activity - it starts to look intentional. A lot of us had time on a Sunday afternoon to try this event and Bungie took that away from us. That is why people is upset.
-
It was still available Sun and they've already acknowledged they are looking into how often it spawns. And the event will be coming back. Again, no reason for the community to be so toxic over it.
-
It was NOT available Sunday FOR SIX HOURS and people didn't even know it was turned off. They just kept getting Cabal over and over hoping the next one would be Taken. When you finally figure out you are getting screwed over it makes you not even want to continue, not as much because of the time wasted playing, but the time wasted BECAUSE BUNGIE CAN'T TAKE 15 SECONDS TO TYPE A FREAKING TWEET SAYING IT'S DOWN AND THEY ARE FIXING IT, THEN TAKE ANOTHER 15 SECONDS TO TELL YOU THEY FIXED IT! 30 seconds of Bungie's time to save THOUSANDS OF ABSOLUTELY WASTED HOURS OF THEIR CUSTOMERS LIVES
-
See, it's THIS kind of self-entitled attitude that is ruining the community. It's a game dude, move on with your life and come back to it later. People are idiots for just waiting and waiting. I promise, this one gun isn't going to change your life. After a week of having it most people probably won't even use it anymore. Breathe. Relax.
-
it's not about the gun, but the disrespect towards the community, we finally get something fun to do, and get close with no warning at all. just stop being bungie suching boy, and try to see from the players side how don't get any explanation. it's not how you run a business. "happy customers always come back "
-
ROFL, yep, you're right that's what this is... Bungie is out to personally piss y off as many customers as possible. GTFO yourself.
-
You still refuse to get it. People waited BECAUSE THAT'S HOW IT WAS DESIGNED! Bungie: "Hey guys, just wait here for a Taken Blight event so you can start one of the greatest encounters we have designed in D2 and get one of the coolest weapons ever" (implied, taken events spawn at a fairly regular interval in this location) Intersted D2 Player: "Wow this is great, I am definitely going to try to get a taste of this!" 2 Cabal PE spawns later......... "Oh man, crappy luck 2 cabal in a row, I am sure it will be a taken one soon" 4 Cabal spawns later........ "Wow the taken spawns must be rare now, I better stay on to make sure I catch one while this event is going on Sunday (my day off to play D2) 10 spawns later...... Checks Bungie media..... nothing Googles "Io taken blight"..... nothing interesting 20 spawns later...... Checks Bungie media...... nothing, EXCEPT, oh look ONE reply from cozmo buried deep in one of hundreds of tweets about WTF IS GOING ON WITH TAKEN PE's ON IO that says "looking into it". No verification of whether Bungie turned it off for hacking, glitching, trying to fix spawn rates, anything. It IS life changing because it takes your respect for a game and developer and throws it right back in the trash because they have ZERO respect for your precious leisure time. How the hell do you design an event this epic, and have so little concern for it's execution and so little respect for your hardcore fans who have defended you time and time again Bungie? USE YOUR DAMN TWITTER ACCOUNT, USE YOUR WEBSITE, USE YOUR COMPANION APP, so many tools to get a 15 second communication out that preserves the integrity of your relationship with your playerbase. Thousands upon thousands of gaming hours wasted, because they either lack oversight of their events, or lack respect for their playerbase. Both are pretty inexcusable at this point.

Editado por Dryvlyne: 7/23/2018 7:19:00 PMDid it occur to you that they didn't even know it was messed up? If, everything happened as you say, then it was a Sunday and they were taking the day off to spend with their families. I seriously doubt they PURPOSELY designed it like this just to piss people off. Just chill out man, it's not the end of the World. /Edit I know DMG made a post on Reddit about them looking into too many Cabal events spawning. Not sure what time he did that but I do know it was acknowledged. Again, it was probably a mistake but to fix it will take a bit of time. Don't assume they are out to personally screw over every player.

Yes I took that into consideration. This game is a live service, you don't think it should be monitored 24/7?? I don't accept that. If you are a game company, you know when your game is working or not at all times, that's part of the deal. You have a team of employees that sit in a room and play the game 24/7. You have computer systems analyzing the state of the game and reporting oddities. "OH HEY GUYS, NO ANOMALIES HAVE SPAWNED IN A HALF HOUR". You have employees monitoring this and your media accounts 24/7. I never accused Bungie of being out to screw anyone over, but that is what their practices are accomplishing. The "problem" was acknowledged, hours later, as a reply buried in one of hundreds of tweets over the preceding hours that wondered if there was a problem. NOTHING on Bungie's official account or page. Complete silence, or as we know from experience, "par for the course". Now we'll get a sorry/not-sorry whitewashing from Deej or whoever and keep playing, but damn I wish they would just get their act together with the communication they SWORE to improve.
