If you aren't being joined mid match into a slaughter, you are being matched into a two or three fireteam match. On top of that the minute it doesn't look good two or three leave the match and then it's open season. Is anyone actually enjoying this?

It’s not because the weapons and gear suck it’s pointless.
-
The spawns are the worst. If it’s not somebody with power ammo, or 4 people or a super, than I’d be surprised.

I hadn't planned on jumping into IB this season at all. I didn't participate in the last one. I'm just not jazzed enough by the rewards, and with no Glory or Valor, I am left with next to zero incentive to do it. I figured if some clanmates wanted to do it, I'd join them. Otherwise, I've got catalysts and Pursuits to work on. A friend asked me to do Nightfall with him and he jumped into IB directly from the Nightfall, and we had a blast. Sure, we were three, and the two of them were pretty dang good, so it was fun even when we lost. Control frustrates me as a solo because I have so little, um, control over what everyone else is doing or not doing. I get how it's not fun for most people when they run solo as much as I do. I did have fun the other night, though.

I am enjoying this Iron Banner, I really am. First, I get to play Control, which is my favorite game mode. Second, the chase for ornaments brings every other scrub besides me out of the woodwork, which makes for some very unsweaty matchups. Non-IB weeks its just the same Competitive and Trials sweats taking a break to wreak havoc in quickplay all the time - no fun.

I haven't played yet this week, just got back in town. To be honest as a solo player im expecting at this point to be put in all those horrible situations. I don't quit though. I fight it out and take my two tokens or whatever and press on. As for being solo I can only speak for myself tactic wise. I always at the start of the match wait a second and see how the team splinters off. I usually try to stay with the larger part of the group (strength in numbers) and if they are picking up on it we typically win. There becomes a natural flow that way. Other than that I don't expect much out of this mode as it seems to be built with little foresight. I'm not a big PvP person but in D1 it used to be Iron Banner that got me into it. The gameplay was good, the rewards worthwhile especially for light leveling and every match had an opportunity to be its own reward instead of tokens. I sucked at sniping and I was a horrible shotgunner but I did pretty good with the fusion back in the day (loved my plan C). But if I'm being totally honest I was impressed by those guys who could pop me in the head across the map in full tilt sprint. Revenge killing was fun and it definitely gave you something to be scared about. I will probably give it a go again but just for some shaders. I rather get my milestones done and call it good.

2 RespuestasYou win some, you lose some. Sometimes you lose a lot. Thats how it was in D1 also. The problem is rewards. There is no incentive to play because all you are working towards are ornaments. They need to add powerful gear back into the reward pool and people will stick around despite getting stomped. When forsaken comes out, due to the massive power level extension, if you aren’t rewarded with powerful gear at the end of a match, there will be ZERO incentive to play, especially if they make power level matter. Im not going to play against people with a higher power level than me just to get nothing in return, other than just to satisfy other people who play more than i do, its pointless unless i get loot that will help me get my power level up. I hope they see this as a problem snd do something about it.

I just get 5 randoms after putting up a post for KD doesn't matter, just here to play. And then we run into 4 Nightstalkers with GL and Worm, with 2 Stag Warlocks with Colony as a 6 man team. It's like walking into a Landfill, nobody wants to be there.

16 RespuestasThe problem is heavy ammo; it’s in the game

If the event was worth staying in people wouldn’t leave. Just needs the following: - Power level should matter, scaling rewards accordingly. If a lower power level team beats a higher one they get more rewards (tokens, XP). Same for number of players. Of course Bungie should fix being able to quit as well. Bonus for staying regardless of outcome. - Map size. IB is a problem now (team shooting, etc) because they stuffed 12 people into maps designed for 8. Design larger maps, but please keep the larger groups for IB. - Rewards need to matter. IB was a once a month event everyone knew they could power up in even if they lost. It went too far of course (you could easily hit IB and level up too quickly before), but the concept is still good. Playing paper doll dress up with ornaments as the reward doesn’t work for most people.

I enjoy it. Viability in weapons isn’t important. I’m top fragging with my DFA. People need to realise success happens out of those 3 guns.
-
2 RespuestasThe crucible isn't about skill, it's about overwhelming numbers.
-
It’s a resonating symptom of bad game design from the launch. All weapons, maps, abilities and net-code were tuned for 4v4 not 6v6. Its only going to be worse if they don’t fundamentally change this game.
-
5 RespuestasI am not enjoying it. Only like 3 weapons are viable, teamshots everywhere, and the matchmaking is absolutely atrocious. When I am on the top of my teams scoreboard using guns I have never used before (And I am trash in general) we have an issue.

26 RespuestasEditado por stonecold_venom1: 6/22/2018 11:20:55 AMI also have had a few matches where we would be winning the entire map by 30-40 points then at the last 2 or 3 minutes left in the match the other team catches up to us then pulls ahead of us and wins by 10 points lol and looked at the score board we had the most kills and control points :/ And people still for some ungodly reason defend Bungie hmmm!!! Something is fishy in my own opinion!
-
Yep I loaded into a game where 5 of the 6 were all clan members, then they proceeded to slaughter us, then there were 5 of us; then 4 as people jumped ship in disgust, and the slaughter only got worse; that was when it dropped to 3 as I finally threw in the towel. Bungie. Unless you stop this crap happening, you have no right to penalize players if they leave.

4 RespuestasSux @$$. D1- Iron Banner was my favorite event. D2- Iron Banana 🍌 is my most despised. Epic F-up of what was once a fun activity.
-
I’ve played every IB since I started playing the game. Did not even consider playing this event. There is literally no reason at all to play IB now.
-
2 RespuestasThat's what happens when the entire game is based around 4v4 combat which isn't fun, but they add in 6v6 anyway. Honestly I had more fun in 6v6 iron banner than any other time playing PvP. It felt the most like D1 crucible.
-
I hate most of the guns in D2. Also, not a fan of the weapon slotting. Those two aspects alone are worse than D1. Not to mention the maps.....sigh.

I have run 26 rounds since Tuesday. The solo queue has been a hotdog and cake party. Putting in a team, especially a large team of 5 or 6 has been sweaty matchmaking (probably should be) and you have to run team strats. I have had only one time that I was loaded into a match that was already in progress. Just my experience with this banner, we'll see what happens tonight.
-
Pretty soon bungie will release... "You don't even need to play to get loot! Just let the game run in orbit and collect your sweet sweet loot when you have time!"
-
Condolences to people having a bad experience I’m havin a blast matches are close win or lose or we win well had leavers but has not been to tragic half the time enemy has been naff at taking advantage of that happening but otherwise it’s been great nearly finished my super kills for ornaments and then can just bask in the fast and fun pace of 6v6
-
4 RespuestasAnyone else have the experience of every other game being a mercy? Que for 5 mins get mercied, que for another 5 and mercy the other team. Rinse and repeat...
-
5 RespuestasI've not played a game this reset. Problem solved.
-
8 RespuestasSince Bungie nerfed rewards and drops not a whole lot of reason to stay in an unfavorable match. In D1 at least you had that high level gear to keep us invested. Now have 0 incentive to even play other than its 6v6.. So a long standing event was reduced to a 6v6 mode.. nothing more. Now add that to poor matchmaking and why even bother? Ornaments?? Does any actually give a shit about those?

Please vote. Destiny 2 is getting ridiculous. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/246517541?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=0
