Remember when Iron Banner was rewarding to play?
You could earn higher gear...and it was actually fun...and I could map you with Saladin’s Vigil...and you could see the legendary rewards drop on the scoreboard screen? Ugh. I miss D1 IB ☹️

Why Destiny IB was better (to me):
- You could earn higher gear to level up. Great for players like me who played random hours bc of work/family and had a difficult time raiding 3 characters weekly.
- grinding for Random rolls was fun
- When I had a terrible round against a stacked team I’d win a legendary 😂
- loved the old maps
- could use special ammo for fusions and snipers and heavy ammo for rocket launchers and exotic swords

Why does it seem like they basically did a quick brainstorm and review for IB it does not seem that much different at all from when I play ordinary Crucible

Enjoying the 6v6 but then again I don't care much for D2 rewards. Currently wearing an armor just because it looks good lol. Most of the armors I don't even want them. Like you I don't have a lot of time to play, and yes, I miss Gjallarhorn dropping at the end of Prison of Elders, random drops were fun.

In D2, most of the loot you win is garbage. Not one of these guns stand out and the IB armor is just for fashion. I don't think I have ever used any of the IB guns in PvP. Not once. Compare that to the stuff in Destiny 1, like the Clever Dragon and Distant Star. Awesome guns that I loved.

2 RespuestasThe reason why IB used to reward high level gear is because the only other way to get this gear was either raids or trials. Bungie implemented these rewards for people who don't run these end game activities. Since other then some of the end game activities power level doesn't really matter and that you can get these loot from milestone, there is no reason for iron banner to have them. Also having high light level gave you advantage in IB D1 and since people who don't have dlc still can play it that won;t happen cos they would have a disadvantage.

3 RespuestasI’m just pissed that I can’t buy armor directly from the vendors anymore. I ranked six times and got five weapons and a chest piece- no sight of the cloak, which is the only ornament I finished this IB. Hella salty.

1 RespuestaI agree with almost all of this. I loved all the old maps and as a sniper main (I guess you could say) it’s kind of tuff. I get close to 0 playtime with my sniper. Oh and old maps were sooo good my favorite was shores of time. I used to get so many feeds
