Yesterday's report on the DestinyTracker homepage showed PVP numbers at a meager 214k, today there isn't even a PVP entry. My guess is that numbers dipped below the 200k mark.
I suppose the ever-dwindling numbers are telling yet another "false narrative". 😒
How long until player numbers aren't tracked at all?

I know this post is quite old, but I stumbled on it today, looking for something else. When Destiny Tracker first started, they made sure to provide notice that they could only track stats for people who had actually been searched for on the site. They don't have access to a list of gamer tags, but if someone provides a gamer tag to search for and they find results, then they can store that away as a "known player". It's quite possible that many new players simply haven't been to their site to look up their stats.

13 RespuestasWhich is why 23+ weeks into the game since D2 released, BungleVision has decided to "talk to us" about what needs to be fixed. This conversation should have been started in Week 2, but the numbers have dropped so low that BungleVision has finally realized, no one will be buying their Next DLC. Hence their need to enage us in a conversation. It's much too little and way too late for this.

2 RespuestasThink about it. All of the effort Bungie put it to make the game more PvP-centric. All of that ego-stroking by Wiesnewski. All of that wanting Destiny to be the next eSport and the new Twitch sensation. Completely wasted. All of that time, money, and effort. Down the drain.

1 RespuestaPersonally, I don't care about destinytracker numbers as you can see the mass exodus when you play the game. 1. Queue times are longer than ever 2. Global matchmaking more common due to the decreased player pool 3. Repeated matches --- Amazing how many times I now see the same players in the lobby No interpretation is needed.

208k yesterday. Remember everyone, that's D2 and D1, on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC combined. Yikes... 😬

3 RespuestasLuke Smith plays Monster Hunter. That says it all.
-
3 Respuestasthe game is boring af. I have more fun playing solo squads in fortnite than I do playing any stacked team in D2.
-
Hmm, funny how we dont see “PvE” numbers. Oh wait, theres is NO PvE content! Smh!

When exactly was the last time we really heard from Deej? Like he used to do live stuff often and now wth does he do all day??!

4 RespuestasAre the fanboys still blaming the holiday season?

5 RespuestasIf you're looking for a reply from a community manager, sorry. DMG has already hit his 2 replies limit for the week.

Everyone has moved over to Monster Hunter: World.. I can’t put it down.. almost 7million players and counting..
-
3 RespuestasWho cares. If you like it play it. If you don't move on.
-
Who cares? Do you enjoy the game? Can you still find matches? Then why bother fretting over population numbers?
-
Those numbers sound healthy enough to me 👍
-
2 RespuestasIt's a pretty sad life when someone who hasn't played the game in over 2 months still comes on the forum to bash the game.
-
Holy eff every website has technical difficulties, settle down there Spartacus.

2 RespuestasEditado por ITzTricky_x: 2/10/2018 9:58:42 PMIf you like playing play... if don’t, play something else. A games player base has never been a factor in whether I enjoy something.

2 RespuestasWho cares? End of the day, as long as I’m qued up for matches and I have my clan for pve shit, I’ll be fine. Honestly feel a lot of people feel the same. I played the shit out of halo and never once gave a shit about player population. Shit when we get private matches I won’t even need matchmaking to enjoy the game. And regardless of all the big talk, those same people are gonna keep buying from Tess, they’ll play gods of mars, and they’ll buy the September update. Period. Don’t be fooled.

I just do raids with friends here and there
-
4 RespuestasHaha I don't even play anymore. 90% of the people on my friends list don't even play d2 and I met them all in d1. Just shows how bad this game is.
-
26 RespuestasThat's awesome. I'm not against people playing PvP, to each their own, but ever since Trials came out I felt like it was Bungie's dominating factor for making decisions. So I actually enjoy seeing all of the PvP balancing bite them in the rear. I don't think I'm alone, I think there's a macabre satisfaction in watching this thing fkd into the dirt.
-
Bit wait. Its crimson doubles. That was to make it 8.3 million in pve.
-
1 RespuestaLol, PvP players and your player trackers. Bless your naive little hearts
-
Remember they are getting the information from Bungie AI to feed that. SO because of all the issues that have plaqued the game, one could possible surmise the numbers may not be as accurate as intended since they are the source releasing the information to another party. It post's what they want to have posted. Pretty interesting discussion on Reddit, link is above.

I know the numbers must be low because playing combined arms last night at 2am cst I got one match in then spent another 40 minutes waiting in orbit for a match to load and it didn’t so at 3 I shut it off. I played Friday afternoon as well and same thing I waited for 30 minutes and nothing so I left. D2 pvp is garbage or I would have played that to kill some time lol
