This is a design issue. If someone wants to upgrade to MW armor, they risk losing the stats they already have. The upgrade should not modify the core stats on the conversion, but it should allow to swap on reroll. Please reconsider this implementation.

1 RespuestaThis is how it was in D1 when re-rolling exotic weapons/armour using Glass Needles... it's a gamble & it costs shards & it can be a grind, so what? We can't always roll 2 set of doubles & own Park Lane or Mayfair! I re-rolled my Titan Armamentarium for each subclass & ended up with 100% stats so it was worth it.
-
1 RespuestaI laugh and laugh. Went to visit Devon and cashed in 356 tokens. 174 shards and something like 20 crystals. One MW weapon. Went to see Gunsmith. Cashed in over 300 parts. One MW weapon. Went to see Rahool with one exotic & 3 purples. Mark 44 stand-asides (of course what else is there), and one MW helmet.

I have full sets of Raid armor for all characters with mods in each piece, what reallyyyyyyyyy pisses me off is that if I want to put the Raid mods into my gear, i lose all my mods. Wtf. How is it fair that Bungo implement an idea (Raid armor perks) that should have been there from the start and i have to sacrifice my legendary mods to achieve Raid bonuses? Why not just put an extra mod slot on the armor?
-
1 RespuestaIm not happy with my optimacy set on my titan getting screwed up because of master works. Now i wont be master working any armor and i have to rebuild an entire set of armor that i spent all season 1 modding and leveling. #thanksfornothingbungie

2 RespuestasThen we'll all keep rerolling until we get 10,10,10 for our beloved characters. Won't to argue about which class has the better stats. But yeah, we definitely need a better reason for masterwork armor. As a PVE player, I don't see the point in a 15% damage resilience while using supers as a gun slinger.
-
3 Respuestaswell what I don't understand is why its a stat change rather than a stat improvement. mw weapons increased current stats on the weapons and gave you an opportunity to get your super back a bit faster. really, if theyre masterwork they should be improving not just swapping current number. In addition, the damage reduction does nothing for voidwalkers and nightstalkers (trappers). So they just got left out of any real improvement. masterwork gear is a fail in my opinion.
-
A simple oversight that should be easy to fix (probably). However simply making it the way you've proposed neglects those who want the re-roll right away. So why not both? In the same way that weapon MWs let you choose between tracking PvE and PvP kills on the initial MW upgrade simply add a second option to armors that keeps the stats as what they are while still getting the initial MW upgrade. That way when you're upgrading an armor to MW for the first time you can choose to keep the current stat or re-roll.
-
Imo it should not change them but add to them. I thought masterworks were to make the item more powerful?
-
The perks just aren't great at all. They need to have some more value to them.
-
That's why it's half the cost of weapons?
-
I agree You shouldnt lose the base stats We should be able to reroll after we upgrade to masterwork

Editado por xLastStarFighter: 1/31/2018 6:39:35 PMIn my opinion, MasterWork Armor needs more than just a special perk like the damage reduction during a Super. I'm sure I've read somewhere that Bungie is planning on expanding the MW of gear as well as mods and their variables of perks, but having just one available makes the game still feel incomplete. I take the opinion of ChaosPrime on YouTube as he stated that Bungie should just stop talking, get on the ball with working and release a complete feature for free in an update, just like No Man's Sky, no matter how long it takes.

It's the poor voidwalkers I feel for, the armour hardly help them much.

8 RespuestasThe main purpose of masterworks, in my eyes, is changing the stat roll. A full set will give 15% (12% w/ exotic, which is probably the case for most players) damage reduction during super, which is fairly negligible. If my primary reason for applying the masterwork is changing the stat roll, why would I want the applying of it to keep it the same?
-
Yes I thought that myself, I can't put masterwork on my gear cos I like my stats
-
I'm not really bothered, the stats make very very little to anything., If it had changed my tier 12 Destiny stats then I'd have been pissed.
-
Does kinda suck. Makes you not want to MW your favorite armor set. But alot of stuff makes you not want to use something. Shaders?

4 RespuestasEditado por ghede70: 1/31/2018 2:16:51 PMSorry OP I’m perfectly happy with what happens when initially adding cores. If it doesn’t work out in my favour, I now have another game objective to work for. I’ll take the risk and if the reward isn’t what I want immediately, I’ll grind it out to get what I want - same as D1 random rerolls on WoTM heroic raid armor. And since I mentioned D1, I think this reroll mechanic is actually better than we had on exotic armor in that game where if you rerolled you actually made it weaker (lower stat numbers for your INT DISC STR) this actually gets stronger. Chances are the other poster complaining about not being able to kill was up against someone who had a full set or optimized their stats for survival. Or lag, of course.

7 RespuestasAgree 100%. Has anyone notice a shorter time to die when you are using supers? Is it me or did we got a nerf when using supers?
-
Come on dude, just keep the armor you want to upgrade and just grind a duplicate set of the same armor to upgrade with masterwork. That way you always have the regular armor to fall back to untill you get the rolls you want.
-
7 RespuestasIt seems People always going to find something to complain about no matter what bungie does.

7 RespuestasI've been playing IB so far with 3 pieces of masterwork gear against people with 0-1 and they're strikers/hammer titans and I'm a warlock, I can't kill them at all with my aim usually on point and they kill me 1v1 in half a second before I can do anything and they have a barricade up that they're somehow shooting through... Did Bungie nerf supers to support the armor upgrades?
-
I’ve not come back to D2 as yet but I’m thinking of taking a look, but from how I understand things, if you change type your changing the armour! I can see exactly the thinking behind it and coming from an JRPGMMO background! Suck it up and grind, as bad and shallow as the game started I honestly don’t see an issue with it as long as the shard sink tallies and doesn’t suck up this resource, it’s a good mechanic!
-
I was originally thinking it would add to not change the type, basically the only thing you get is reduced damage in super woohoo.
