Be at least 40 below the recommended light level during matchmaking. You can switch back once it starts.
I made a new character and put that armor in the vault.

Thx you, I knew I should have kept my funky starter armour. I did for all 3 characters for around a month..

Ohhhh, thx New avenue to explore if all else fails.. I’d still see it match making me with new players though wouldn’t I?
