RPG elements won't scare younger/casual players away; they aren't as dumb as some developers/suits may think. More ways to kill stuff is always a plus in gaming. Not to mention no matter how complicated it may seem, some eggheads will always crunch the numbers and build metas for people who want to jump right in. Bungie needs to go deep with these elements and put the Dr. Seuss systems back in the attic where they belong.
