When did destiny become a fashion show instead of a fps?

why does no one address that the rewards are fake rewards? Yea they're behind a paywall which totally blows but how about the fact that they're cosmetic at their core. Have an exotic? Here's a new skin for it... don't have that exotic? Here's a new skin anyway. Do the ornaments, sparrows, ghosts, shaders do anything to help your gameplay? No not really. Do the weapons or armor from things like raids help in the raid? No they don't. They just look different than the other armor your wearing and don't do anything special. Hardly anyone uses the guns from the raids for the raid because they are sub par at best and have no useful perks for the encounters. Coo weapons and armor are the same but at least bungie took the time to make them look a little unique. They limited guns to forging one per account rather than on each character which is good and bad. Thought that each character would have to do it since each character had to go thru the story, adventures, heroic adventures etc. The numbers don't add up with the dawning event. Why would bungie put more time and effort into a free event versus paid content? Osiris was thin on everything yet a free event like dawning gets 100 plus so called reward items that are the same thing as everything else in the game but they look different so we'll call them rewards and they put these rewards behind a paywall. You have to play 24 hours a day and have perfect rng luck to get every item they've put in this dawning event within the time limit. Oh wait.... you still wouldn't be able to get everything which confirms its a paywall. Yet again they're just cosmetics and cosmetics are not rewards. Not on endgame level. I don't know if I'm more upset work the whole eververse debacle or the fact that eververse really seems to be the smoke and mirrors to hide the fact that any reward you get from anything is either purely cosmetic or lacks any sense uniqueness/ useability. In d1 some people didn't like the weapon rolls concept but what I experienced was two or more weapons that were the same gun with different perks on each causing me to adjust the way I approached encounters. I had a hawksaw for close range when I wanted to be aggressive, in your face coupled with a sniper for the long range or I had a med/ long range one with shottie for close range encounters. Now every weapon is the same. Armor is in the same boat. Nothing exciting. With everything said, I bought a fps, not bungies next top model. Leave the fashion to the gift store and concentrate on making a shooter which is supposed to be a sequel to the first one. Stop dumbing down everything. Give us a real reason to play your game. You did for 3 years. How about you continue where you left off?
