Anyone else wish you could freely explore the Infinite Forest without having to start Adventures?
I wish you could just freely explore the infinite forest to make up for mercury being so small. I originally got the impression you could freely explore the infinite forest. Seriously imagine the potential they could add in the infinite forest. More public events, mazes to figure out, mini bosses that open gateways etc etc.
Who else agrees?

I agree. I think they should have made a horde mode out of it. It does have a ton of potential.

The infinite forest isn't an exploratory zone. It's a randomly generated waste of time to fill in for half of a mission or strike without adding actual content. It literally wastes your time, so it feels like you're doing a full activity.

They could have used a free roam infinite forest to introduce more exotic quests, or being able to past through memorable vex areas from D1 (the final part of the black garden, the Vault of glass).

As the forest sits now, no thank you, it's kind of boring and repetitive. Now if your speaking as they added what you listed then yes I am on board, you have some good ideas which if bungie did correctly would be pretty awesome.

Maybe add a location to the world map that works a bit like the custom crucible matches from d1. Choose map and enemy types and difficulty. Maybe add specific milestone rewards for completing difficult simulations.

What’s to explore ? That’s the issue not just that we can’t go in it’s all just generate some platforms w AI on them.... don’t confuse Destiny w having any depth to explore not until they prove other wise
