It sucks that I put over a thousand hours into the first Destiny and here I am, with absolutely no zeal to play destiny 2 whatsoever. You guys made a mistake when making the sequel and something needs to be done about it. If this continues on any longer you would just be committing franchise suicide.
You’ve managed to go backwards at almost every turn from its predecessor. Once again a game full of promise but we are given complete trash and nothing more. A skeleton of what Destiny 1 was and nothing but a forgettable puff of smoke of what Destiny 2 should have been. Damn unfortunate, this game actually sucks. The first time I’ve admitted it since 2014. I hate you for making me feel this way about one of my favorite games. Please don’t make a sequel. Please don’t make any more promises. My heart couldn’t take another let down.

18 RespuestasLet me tell you how great of a first impression bungie has made on the PC gaming market. They couldnt even be bothered to put chat, something standard since like the mid 1990's into their MMO... Let alone havent figured out how to properly utilize token reward systems and loot, things that have been figured out for decades here in PC land. I feel like bungie is on the same ground with game mechanics as a garage full of college grad amateurs...not the kind that innovate but the kind that are making a product to get a C on a mid term in game design school.
-
I actually liked the grind of unlocking abilities making my exotic better each perk unlock, and I enjoyed doing the bounties with the chance of getting an exotic quest...I just loathe D2 and everything about it.
-
9 RespuestasStop catering to casuals bungie. Lol that shoulder charge nerf is the most moronic thing i have ever seen.
-
24 RespuestasRemember when they said we can keep our stuff from D1 and now I'm grinding for all of it again.

They loaded the gun to commit franchise suicide when they put Luke Money Bags Smith in charge. They pulled the trigger when they didn't replace him after the endgame outrage and his insistence to stick with static rolls. For everyone who is about to say "it makes balancing the meta easier" I say... where are the weapon tweaks they said they could do on the fly? It is taking them longer than before so that is Platypus Doo Doo.

2 Respuestasd2 was the easiest game to make a succes, fix all issues that d1 had and just continue on that fundation..... it was such a simple task. but they destroyed everything what made d1 fun and exiting. and they fixed not even half of the problems. and created more in the meantime.

3 RespuestasDay 1 guy here, D1 was my religion, my crack, my addiction. I loved it couldn’t wait to play, I would rush home on Tuesday’s from Work and log in and play way to late. My friends and I stayed up the first week of skolas till 4:30 am and finally got him it was awesome and I just showered and went to work. But now with D2 I literally have to force myself to log in. I was a fanboy bought all the DLC content but I’m in the group now that just wants my money back. I’m truly sad about this and sorry but R.I.P. destiny it was fun while it lasted.

7 RespuestasThis isn't suicide. Suicide is deliberate. This is a Darwin Award, like when someone puts a lit stick of dynamite down their pants. You wonder "what were they THINKING?!"
-
2 RespuestasNot so much franchise suicide but a deliberate choice by Bungie to make a game that isn't for you. If you are a Day 1 D1 player with 9000 hours Bungie doesnt want you playing Destiny 2. If you class yourself as a hardcore D1 player, again, Bungie doesn't want you playing Destiny 2. My reason for the above comments is based more on a gut feel than anything else but I am guessing once Activi$ion came on board there would have been a whole heap of number crunching and data analyisis about D1, and, there would have been some alarm bells ringing by the acountants. Gaming is all about the $$ once you get into the AAA title area, customer loyalty plays a very small part but in the end most decisions are made based around the almighty dollar. Anyway, I digress, so Activi$ions accountants have a bit of a look at D1 and find some pretty disturbing trends. At first they are excited, they see numbers like 30 million account holders for D1, but then they start analysing Pve gameplay and they find that only 20% or roughly 6 million players finished a Raid in D1. Now Raid is endgame yes, meant to be hard, but, at the same time from a developement point of view, the amount of time spent building the raids and having server space for them is not finacially viable, spending so much money for something that only 1 in 5 are ever going to access is something they would have instructed Bungie to not repeat with D2. I said before that customer loyalty plays a small part of gaming and as such the community itself would have been looked at as well. Activi$ion would have had a look at the community both here and over on Reddit and made some decisions based by the behviour of the community. They would have taken a look at us and were probably horrified and amused in equal amounts. And maybe somewhere someone said, maybe we are better off without the saltiness and decisions were made that D2 would cater for the 80% of players that were not the hardcore D1 players. I think not wanting the hardcore players playing D2 is the reason that they kept D1 servers up and running, maybe they figured the hardcore players would just stay in Destiny 1 and continue to play, which by the looks of it many have done. I read somewhere that Luke Smith said something along the lines of " I want Destiny 2 to be a game people go away and come back too." Im too lazy to google the exact quote but that would back up my gut feel from what I have said above. Anyway, just my thoughts after having a few cleansing ales.

2 Respuestas"This game is terrible, blah blah blah" -OP about Destiny 1 " Destiny 1 was so great, D2 sucks blah blah blah"- OP Personally, I just think it's "popular" to complain about Destiny/Destiny 2/Bungie so people do, usually while playing 3-9 hours a day of the game they're complaining about

1 RespuestaBungie was like the popular kid at school until they shat their pants. Now all they are known as is the kid that shit their pants.
-
Never underestimate the amount of filthy casuals keeping the game alive and feeding Bungivision with a ton of money.
-
3 RespuestasBungie got everything right in Destiny 1 except the story (and map size). Bungie got everything wrong in Destiny 2 except the story. Im tired of defending them.

1 RespuestaWhy? Why do angels have to die...
-
I wouldn’t want to do anything remotely related to destiny if I spent 2,000 hours playing it
-
2 RespuestasDestiny 1 is a lot to live up to. Even more for the diehard fans. It not as bad as most are saying but everyone has a different opinion of what went wrong. What I dislike is they basically hand everything out. D1 you had to hunt for public events and work harder to find exotics. With them just giving everything away there's not much motivation to hunt for them thus, the thrill of the hunt is absent

4 RespuestasGuardians, the time has come. We need to band together and boycott this game. Find something else to play. Do not purchase anymore DLC's. Let's all just move on. Let them starve to death. If Battlefront 2 can do it, then so can we.
-
Welcome to the club, I play once a while so I won’t feel like I wasted my money but still end up with the same feeling of regret every time I play.

33 RespuestasEditado por KLGChaos: 12/14/2017 5:25:45 AMAs the Osiris review on The Verge says, it doesn't really matter what Bungie does at this point. Many players have ridiculously unrealistic expectations, can't reconcile that the developers can only do so much with what they have, and will never be satisfied, even as Bungie works towards fixes. I'm honestly tired of all the freaking out about how bad things are while they give no real suggestions in what they want to see outside of "make it D1 again". The game is flawed, for sure, and some decisions I didn't like 4v4 PvP only, no game type selection, removal of random perks, nerfing of all ability cooldowns and supers (all of which were done for the sake of PvP balance). And the inventory system is crap. But the solid gameplay is still there. It's still fun to shoot the crap out of enemies. I enjoy the raids and I'm looking forward to them making more progress.

when the first line you say is a lie i already knew this was another troll post... try harder mr. wannabe troll

You’re still here? Go home.

Destiny 1 was a mediocre 6/10 game. They managed to release a game that is EVEN worse. It takes Bungie to be this thick.

Let's hope 2018 will be the end of this studio and better people pick up what remains, one day

6 RespuestasWhoa Whoa Whoa Garaa, it sounds like you're the one who is about to commit suicide. Advice: Don't put 1000 hours into ANY game. Not healthy. The game is not near as bad as all of you drama queens are making it seem. If you don't like the game, play a different one. There's other games out there I promise.
