He didn't say that. He said the DLC is worth the asking price. He later said he would not recommend it based on the state D2 is in now. He had a whole discussion on the sad state of QoL issues that need to be addressed.

The dlc is worth it, but the game makes it an unworthy investment basically?

Basically, that if you did not buy the season pass, he would not recommend sinking more money into the game until we see how/when they are able to address the QoL/replayability issues. I think that is probably about right. Maybe we will hear something we like Wednesday.

I wasn't going to buy it at all, but one of my best friends accidentally bought the season pass, and I don't want him to suffer like I did during the Dark Below.

I think it looks pretty good for a DLC. I'm not sure how much I will keep playing between the DLCs, until something is done about static rolls. IMO, that is killing replayability. But, the new content in CoO should be fun for a while.
-
Static rolls aren't what bother me, and it wouldn't keep me playing the game. I think too much of the game focuses on its new vendor system and rng. Some things can be rng like non-quest based exotics (but those can also not be exotics and be a different kind of grade of weapons), but I don't think everything should be. In Destiny 1, you chose what you wanted to buy from your vendors and their wares changed with every dlc. None of the vendors should have an rng factor to them imo but drops can be random as long as the drops are worthwhile. I also feel like the current content is just a bit boring.

Editado por CatNapHooligan: 11/28/2017 5:16:08 AMI agree on the vendor weapons. However, static rolls really limit the assortment of rewards. Half the fun of D1 to me was trying weapons with different rolls to see what changes the rolls made. I think using different weapons makes the repetitive encounters more interesting. I believe that I have/had all of the available weapons. So, with static rolls, not sure how many times I will repeat the content. I was worried about this, when the beta was so pvp/balance oriented. Views will differ, obviously.

Static rolls don't change a weapon they just create a disparity between what people do or don't have on top of rng already dictating what weapon you get. It's more about having a wide variety of weapons that aren't all basically the same or similar. They just don't have enough interesting content nor enough interesting weapons. It would be one thing if you could change the perks on gear and had way to farm for currency for doing so, but we can't do that. We also don't get to buy gear from a vendor. Random rolls worked in Destiny, but Destiny 2 would probably ruin that experience. Random rolls on weapon drops wouldn't bother me, but I just don't think it would help. Legendary weapons are truly just standard weapons.

We'll have to disagree on the rolls. Some perks can have a dramatic impact on performance of a given weapon, IMO. I was still getting new combinations of perks on weapons all through D1. It kept things a bit more fresh. I believe that I have used all of the weapons available in D2, just three months in. They will add a few new weapons in the DLCs, but will never add enough to keep us grinding for a special one for long.
-
Random rolls aren't suddenly changing anything about the game. If this were Destiny 1, I'd agree, but if there's no ability to change the roll, you just end up with a disparity issue in pvp hence why we're here today. It's that reason why random rolls might not return.
-
I agree generally. Some type of well-implemented mod system would be better. I just don't know whether Bungie has the personnel to develop a system (or would devote the necessary resources). I think random rolls is the best we can hope for. Maybe we will hear something interesting tomorrow. I think it is much more likely to be something they work on for next September. The main reason we are at this point is that they refuse to separate PVE and PVP. As long as people scream for blanket nerfs based on PVP play, PVE will suffer. I am not sure why that is from a technical standpoint. But, they do not want to do it.

Some garbage idea that your guardian should feel the same regardless of what game mode you're playing despite both being very different and only similar in that you're shooting at something and also being shot at. If the Crucible had its own guns that you'd pick from before going into a match and there were special/heavy guns to pick up around the map (like Halo), then I'd assume those guns could be balanced separately. They could've made different subclass load outs specifically for pvp as well. The mod system they just missed a good chance with. That could have been a system designed to give you the means to alter the perks, sights on your weapons and the perks and stats on your armor. We could gather perk types by finding weapons with those perks and bringing them to Banshee and helping him with gear research.
