I think that the various vendors you turn in specific currencies towards should only give you the certain rewards that they are selling. In other words, when I give, for instance, FWC tokens to the leader I shouldn't get drops that I can obtain from random engrams. I should get the gear that is specific to the faction/vendor. Example, I grinded for hours getting Dead Orbit tokens because I wanted the full set for my titan, because I like the stormtrooper theme that it envoked. Almost every time I turned in enough tokens to be rewarded with an engram, I was given gear that I could've gotten from public events. I don't want a chance of obtaining "additional rewards" from some other source, I want the rewards that are specific to that faction/vendor.
What do you guys think?

Remember in early D1 when a legendary engram could decrypt into something else? Pepperidge Farm remembers. =( Cryptarch Poem

I think the token system with random drops is absolutely terrible. On top of that, they put a limit on number of levels that grant rewards. Why?

But that way you might get all the faction gear? Then what would be the point in grinding tokens?

4 RespuestasYes, you got one faction piece of gear, armor or weapon, faction shader and then a random legendary gear. So you'd rather the game just give you the faction item and faction shader and that's it?

2 RespuestasI agree. We just spent nearly 7 hours farming Iron Banner tokens, turned them in and what did we get? Damn loot from random engrams that I can get from chests or doing public events. What is even the point of farming, when the drop rate is so low? I understand it depends on total RNG and Luck, but I mean come on. We play Faction Wars and PvP Events for the specific loot they present to us, not the random world loot. This should be fixed, really quick. This kind of RNG will turn people away from actually playing the game since they don't find it rewarding enough. It's a shame, really.

In Faction Rally 21/30 of my rewards were duplicates or random rewards. Couldn't even finish the armour set.

Editado por NOVA Perc: 11/22/2017 3:58:22 AMYeah, the RNG on timed faction events is a fail. Two factions rallies, missing one armor piece from each one. I didn't think the vendor having weapons and armor you could choose was an issue. They needed to just keep that system from D1. I hate the token system. Editing because I forget I also finished the first IB missing an armor piece.

I couldn't agree with you more. Unfortunately the loot pool is so shallow that if it was ONLY faction gear you'd actually be able to get the things you want and move on to play other things. Between this and the insane amount of duplicate drops that also haven't been fixed, it's why I was freaking thankful for the token farm from the last faction rally and sincerely hope another one is discovered on the next time around. If only there was one for the IB, because it otherwise sounds like slow death in there.

What should happen in s2 is that the vendor stock is ONLY faction themed . It can be essentially be kept the same but with 1 simple change . The selection of secondary weapons and armour you can get from anywhere needs to be replaced with the stuff from s1 . Now it would be at least dead orbit only for example . This should apply to all vendors in my opinion . I seriously hate trading tokens for junk weapons I could get from any engram or crucible reward for example . I will say that faction rally is one place the token system works well.
