Why did bungie absolutely destroy crucible? A long time ago crucible was glorious, there were fun fights, trick shot super kills, good balanced powerful weapons. You went there for fun, to get better, because it mattered. One day though an evil darkness started spreading through it like wild fire. The entitled spoilt brat generation had arrived. They were some of the darkest times in crucible history. Nothing was safe from the nerf cries. Supers were caught, grenades turned into pebbles, melees became throwing sponges. Entire classes of weapon were obliterated into nothing more paper planes. But the darkness wasn’t finished, it’s hunger was never satisfied. Game modes were targeted, more hits on weaponry and armour, even the in game radar was nearly taken down Bungie battled back relentlessly trying to save what it could from the crucible, trying to keep it alive so the few the darkness hadn’t infected could still get better, but it was hopless In the end all that was left was what you see today. A shell of the crucible where once again everything that kills you is op, every tactic is pathetic, every good honourable fighter is a sweaty because they won Don’t question why crucible is bad now. Question how to eliminate the entitled spoilt brat ingestion currently keeping it locked down. Then and only then will you see a crucible striving for the greatness it once was

I believe you are right. You cannot satisfy the vast majority of pvp players. They complain just to complain it seems. If they are killed by something different then what they are using they complain. This BS about casuals being at fault is ridiculous. The pve side of the game did not really get any easier. In fact some of the D1 exotics had a bigger impact on PVE then the ones we currently have. I think it is all pvp's fault that everything is so watered down in an attempt to make pvp balance easier for the devs.

No. PvP isn’t the cause. This game flopped because of its lack of progression. There’s nothing left to do once you’ve completed all activities. PvP overall is good IMO (on pc.). They removed everything that everyone liked, and that’s not because pvp caused it. Bungie chose to remove it all.

They haven't gotten it through their thick, arrogant skulls yet that if they want this game to have competitive PVP, it needs to be COMPLETELY separated from every other mode, including casual PVP. There is no reason why there can't be synergy existing in D1 between PVE and CASUAL PVP, and let the hardcore/sweaties that want competitive PVP play a ranked mode which is standardized combat, standardized gear, trickle modifier to control ability spam, etc. That way, they can't complain that this or that is OP. Separate loot pools means that PVP tunes don't negatively impact other phases of the game. It's a happy medium. THE ONLY thing that needs to give is Bungie's insane and stupid and stubborn insistence that PVE and PVP feel fluid across both modes. If you want that, then you just want an ordinary shooter game OR you want an RPG/Lootgrinder game that is NEVER going to be balanced enough to be competitive - but it can still be fun. This way, the lack of fluidity exists only between going from one of the casual modes to the competitive mode. But the kicker here: you actually EXPECT additional restrictions in a competitive mode to make for more fair matches. You expect reduction of weapons/abilities that are considered "cheap" because you want more skill-based outcomes. IMO, I think Bungie is afraid of separating competitive from everything else because then their numbers may show an utter lack of demand for competitive PVP given the fact that they have the MOST casual player base of any game out there right now. At that point, they'd have to face the reality that this game would never become an E-Sport. That's just my guestimation though. Who knows the real reason why they won't parse it all out. Laziness? Incompetence? Stubbornness and arrogance? Take your pick. They all seem to fit the bill.
