Help! Did I buy a pirated version of D2?
Hello, Guardians!
I bought the PC version of this game and even though I've got it from Amazon and it came in the original sealed box with a code for the Blizzard app, I think I might have gotten some gimped illegal copy as it seems to be missing a lot of content and has some bugs. Let me list a few:
1. The improved, long and epic campaign (as advertised) doesn't fully work, it only takes like 5-6 hours to complete and instead of telling all the awesome stories you could tell in the Destiny universe, it's basically a "damsel in distress" campaign where the Traveler is the damsel, this can't be all.
2. There's a bug in all the factions. I level them up, get an engram, but there are no actual levels to them so the faction leveling system is definitely bugged.
3. The Crucible selection screen is also missing content so instead of all the game type options, I only see two - Quick Play and Competitive so... all I can do is just pick "Quick Play" and hope it's not going to be Supremacy again.
4. I can't join factions - that's another clear bug, there's just no option to join a faction.
5. The Grimoire is missing! While I can access some lore related to some of the gear, I already killed dozens of named enemies and wanted to read their stories, but I don't see the Grimoire neither in-game, nor on the website so this also seems to be a bug on the website.
As you see, there's clearly something wrong here, my copy of the game is missing some basic content, what can I do fix this, is this a glitch? I mean, it does say "Destiny 2" on the box so it's the next game AFTER Destiny 1, it's can't possibly have less content, mechanics or even leveling systems that the previous one, right? Right...?

Destiny 2 is clearly not a finished game, you need to wait a couple of years and buy DLC to get the game they used 3 years to build. maybe they forgot to tell us that this is a beta version or something?

Destiny 2 is garbage. I mean, it honestly feels more like what should've been a free to play, free download knockoff of Destiny 1, made by some independent developer and maintained entirely on a simple microtransaction system.

Whilst I do not condone Piracy, I have been prosecuted for it previously. Cheeky mo po's wanted like £72.599 pounds for breaking the copyright act. I go off it and the case was dropped... But I digress, I don't condone Piracy, but in Destiny's case I'm prepared to look the otherway... You never know, they're might be other players in the Public Events... Bungie partnered with Blizzard to make sure that Destiny 2 could not be Pirated. But from what I'm guessing, it's possible Firstly, you have to image a disc. Secondly you'll have to set up a proxy The you'll have to connect over Wi-Fi with a packet sniffer on to find out what calls its making. Then reroute everything to your proxy. And hey presto, it wouldn't ever find out it was Pirated and you'd even be able to use mods ect. Just sayin... I do not condone Piracy.. Does sound good though.. Bloody PC Master Race Vs Consoles crap...

Nope. The factions are only available during what’s called “Faction Rally”. Cool idea but I dislike how they are useless outside of that event. Also you aren’t supposed to see levels, another thing I dislike. And that really is all of the story. It ends with Ghaul dying in his God form to the power of the Traveler. And you can’t choose specific game modes. And no more rift, Mayhem, rumble, skirmish, etc. -
