Well, I Like It
PC player here with no prior Destiny experience. Lots of previous shooters such as Battlefront, and MMO's such as EQ2 and SWKOTOR. Quick bio done.
I like it. Great graphics. Fun weapons. More than plenty to do (I'm up around 220 and with a clan of friends). Taken as a shooter with some progression incentives, it's a great game. Not trying to think of this as an MMO as much as a coop shooter.
I suspect a lot of the players aren't bothering with the forum gripes, but wanted to drop my hat with a "yes" vote. I think the real measure of satisfaction is in the server populations (and no, I don't bother with the third party site guessing). So hey, Devs. You're doing just fine from my perspective.

D1 ruined D2 for me. That game had a way of making you feel like a god lol.

This installment wasn’t designed that way. It’s designed where you can hop on, get sweet stuff, have fun with your buddies, and hop off. It has a lot of flaws and puzzling developmental decisions but it is not a bad game by any means.

42 RespuestasAhhh someone who never experience D1, just the standard shooter fare, and he likes D2. Not a surprise. That’s why you don’t get why some aren’t happy. You’re also not in a position to counter those complaints since you don’t know anything about it. Uninformed opinions are worthless, no offense intended. So I’m glad you like it but don’t act like your opinion means anything on the subject if 2 is good in comparison to 1.

People forget the pre-DLC days when you bought a game, finished it, and then your $60 sat on a bookshelf until you were bored two years later and went back to play it. I can ram Scions with the Interceptor and knock them off the screen. That's some funny sh!t right there.

Wait a while and then see how you feel about it. I think a lot of us really liked it the first few weeks but then the incentives to play dried up really quickly and the cracks begin to show. Don't get me wrong, D2 is a well-made game, a lot of us just don't like the direction they've taken it to.

1 RespuestaIve played over 3 years now. Still love it. Dont let the forum screamers warp your view of the game. The secret is that they love the game too, but do not want to admit it. You dont sink hundred of hours into a game you dont love.

Pc will have more things to do as well on December 5th which is not long

If its your first destiny game, you won't see all the issues. The big problem for most of us lies with the fact that so many good and requested changes were made during d1, and now a of those things are gone.

Haha, 220.... yeah there is plenty to do at 220. Wait until your 290+ and finish all the weekly milestones in an hour and have nothing left to do.

What are the forum gripes about? 95% are about the differences between games. What’s the remark about the players dropping come from? The dissatisfaction of D1 players not liking 2. Doing just fine? Compared to what? Oh the first game? Sorry but no it was a comparison. It doesn’t need to be stated in bold italics in the title to be called a comparison.

Played 3k+ hours on D1 with tons of raids and flawlesses done. Played D2 on console with 2 305 characters, 6 raids done(for LoA shotty) and been flawless every week. Now I am on PC and I understand a lo of people are mad. Because the console version is trash 😂😂😂 'nuff said.

Post something when you've been 305 for a month. That's kinda the crux of the issues.

While i liked a lot of the game overall it lost all of its grind and lasting appeal IMO... Glad you like it tho...
