Cayde-6: ‘’Guardian? Ghost? Helloooooo, Guardi……’’
Ghost: ‘’Cayde?’’
Cayde-6: ‘’Ghost?’’
Ghost: Cayde?
Cayde-6: ‘’Ghost! Is the Guardian with you?’’
Ghost: ‘’I live in his pocket, Cayde!’’
Cayde-6: ‘’Right! Ummmmm yeah so, this is gonna sound crazy’’
Ghost: ‘’How crazy?’’
Cayde-6: ‘’Preeeetty crazy! I’ve had a report from one of my scouts in the EDZ….’’
You hear whispering in the back ground
Cayde-6: ‘’What? No! Soy, green onions, Menma….’’
Ghost: ‘’Cayde?’’
Cayde-6: ‘’Yeah? Oh right, where was I?’’
Ghost: ‘’The EDZ?’’
Cayde-6: ‘’More Soy, more…. Perfect! Ok so my scout, she reported seeing a Servitor, with legs!’’
Ghost: ‘’How much Ramen have you eaten, Cayde?’’
Cayde-6: ‘’Not enough! Go check it out Guardian, thanks. Ok love ya, bye’’
Ghost: ‘’Data file received, looks like we should land at Trostlands, perhaps Devrim will be more helpful than, noodle brain-6. Let’s go Guardian’’
You land at Trostlands and make your way up to the church where Devrim usually is but there’s no sign of him
Ghost: ‘’I’m tracking Devrim to the east, we should go look for him’’
You sparrow east eventually finding a large open area, a market square kinda thing surrounded by buildings. Devrim is in one toward the back. You make your way up to him
Devrim: ‘’What brings you here Guardian?’’
Ghost: ‘’Cayde sent us! He’s, busy….’’
Devrim: ‘’Well I’m glad you’re here, take a look down there!’’
You look down out the window at the square, the ground is rumbling, dust is hanging in the air above it. It appears as if something is under the surface moving
Devrim: ‘’Any idea what that is?’’
Ghost: ‘’Hmmmm Seismic activity is high, there’s something big down there. Let’s check it out’’
Devrim: ‘’Be careful Guardian, I’ll provide assistance from up here’’
You head down toward the area of ground, it trembles beneath you. Your screen wobbles and shakes
Ghost: ‘’Guardian, I think something’s com…….’’
The ground in front of you opens up, a huge purple ball slowly arises, a Servitor, bright glowing Ether drips off of its ball frame and pours out of the ground. Massive legs start to emerge beneath it, Walker legs.
Ghost: ‘’OH SH…….’’
A booming Servitor sound echos in the air around you. Out emerges a Servitor spliced onto a Walkers legs, a flood of Ether erupts as it breaks through completely to the surface. A thick purple laser beam explodes from its eye into the air. It spots you….
Ghost: ‘’We need to kill that, WE NEED TO KILL THAT RIGHT NOW!’’
The idea here is that you need to cripple each of it's legs, whilst it charges you with stomp attacks and laser beam blasts from its Servitor eye. This is typically a bullet sponge type boss fight, no real mechanics but the boss moves fast and is aggressive when agro'd. There is cover to use and Devrim helps out with taking down the Fallen snipers that fire on you from the other buildings (you still have to watch out for them though as they'll wipe you out if not managed) when you take down one of it's legs it calls for Repair shanks so you'll have to take those out pretty quickly too. Once all it's legs are down it's a simple finish off the Servitor type thing. It's a frantic battle, lots of snipers in the buildings and Repair shanks after every destroyed leg.
Once you finish it off it shuts down and slumps to the ground with the Ether pool surrounding it (watch out for the Ether in the fight, it'll burn you)
Ghost: ''Well that was, unexpected. It appears there's a lake of Enhanced Ether below us. That thing was trying to consume it? No, divert it to, somewhere.... But where?''
Devrim: ''That's a job well done Guardian, I'll see you back in the Tros.....'
Ghost: ''Wait! It's not dead, I'm sensing signs of life inside it, huh? Guardian look!''
You see the Servitor crack open, arms start to appear, an undocked Dreg emerges covered in Ether, glowing. It was contolling that thing the whole time. A creation of the Dusk Splicers, It screeches at you then darts away, jumping on a Pike and making an exit.
Ghost: ''Guardian, don't let it get away. Quickly!''
You pull out your Sparrow and give chase, what takes place next is an SRL esque Chase across the EDZ. The Dreg is dripping glowing Ether so it's easy to follow, you catch up to him but are pursued by more Dregs on pikes that shoot at you. You are able to pull out a pistol that's stowed on your Sparrow and shoot the dregs off. You pursue the Ether covered dreg further, over jumps etc until you reach an abandoned factory in a new part of the EDZ, Ghost suggests you get off your Sparrow and carry on on foot following the Ether trail into the Factory.
You approach the factory cautiously, there seems to be Fallen chatter and noise coming from inside it
Ghost: ‘’These doors have been sealed from the inside, find another way in!’’
There’s a moments pause
Ghost: ‘’Actually give me a second I’ll need to..... Wait, Guardian there’s no time for that just use brute force’’
Here you can damage the door with your guns or throw grenades at it to force it open, it’ll have an invisible HP, after it sustains enough damage it’ll burst open.
You blast the doors down with your weapon/abilities, Fallen troops come funnelling out of the dust cloud, screeching, roaring. 2 yellow bar Captains with enhanced scorch canons flank to either side of the doors, the canons are now burst fire, able to fire multiple rounds that stick and charge causing massive damage to anything they attach too, the rounds appear to be green in colour, an acidic base causes corrode damage, literally consuming any metal they touch in an explosion of corrosion!
You need to take down these Captains, wield their new weaponry and head into the factory.
Inside you find a massive Fallen Barron, hanging from the rafters via metal chains, 4 Dusk splicer scientists are on scaffolding around it fusing armour and weapons to its body, it roars in pain and anger as it spots you. The Splicer scientists cut the chains and the Barron lands on the ground, it outstretches it’s 6 arms and screams at you then whips round violently, a huge metal dinosaur like tail swings, narrowly missing you. Enhanced Ether drips from its mouth and leaks out from under its armour plates. It picks up a barrel and pours it in its mouth consuming the contents of Enhanced Ether, in front of your eyes it grows to a massive size then leaps into the air clinging onto the rafters high above you
Ghost: ‘’Ummmmmm’’
4 bright spot lights come to life, floating in the air around the factory, each splicer scientist is piloting a modified S.A.B.E.R Shank. The spot lights aim at you
Ghost: ‘’Errrrrrrrrr’’
The Barron lands right in front of you
Ghost: ‘’Kill it?’’ Says a clearly Confused, shocked Ghost
The S.A.B.E.R shanks activate a shield around the Barron. You are unable to damage him until you take down the Shanks, use the newly acquired corrosive scorch cannons and destroy the shanks whilst avoiding the Barron’s attacks, once the Shanks are down the Barron calls for reinforcements which flood the factory, deal with them whilst also damaging the boss when you can.
The Barron’s fast and often hangs from the ceiling (you can still damage him) he’ll try to Consume more Enhanced Ether when his health gets low so be sure to destroy any barrels you see laying around the factory, once you’ve defeated the Barron he lays in a pool of Ether dying, splutering some Fallen words before the life fades out of her.
Ghost: ‘’I, have never seen anything like that before! We should let Cayde know what happened’’
There’s a voice from behind you, it’s Cayde
Cayde-6: ‘’I’m right here, preeeeeety crazy right?’’
Ghost: ‘’Did join know about this Cayde?’’
Cayde-6: ‘’ I didn’t know about this but now that I do......’’
A team of Cayde’s people enter behind him and start removing items from the factory including what’s left of the Barron and the splicer scientists, Ghost gives Cayde an inquisitive look
Cayde-6: ‘’R and D Ghost, R and D. Come on Guardian I know an excellent Ramen place’’
And that’s that, I left it somewhat open for new weaponry/technology to be utilised in the future with Cayde’s research and development team scavenging the Splicers factory. Let me know what you think 😊
For anyone reading this, here's a Hive Strike I wrote before this one https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/236621876?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=1

I like it good job
-
I write screenplays for hobby so I can appreciate the time and effort put into it. I don't think it's bad.
-
The dialogue is a little iffy, it doesn’t fit Destiny’s theme, in my opinion, but the strike sounds neat. Nice work.
-
1 RespuestaYou got the dialogue wrong especially for cayde-6 But not a bad idea
-
5 RespuestasNoodle brain-6? Urgh... No thanks. A servitor with legs would just look so... wrong, almost like a Chinese knock off of horizon zero dawn's animals lol. Would be a fun strike, but by the sounds of it, too complicated for destiny's strike mechanics (there's a strategy and no waiting phases). Can't say I'm a fan of the backstory/dialogue much but the strike itself has potential.
-
Too cringy.

6 RespuestasLove it again.. I don't think I can remember a strike where sparrow play actually played a part (good idea) One thing I will say is it seems like there should be one encounter before the Servitor itself. So. 1encounter of your choosing 2 servitor 3 shiny Dreg race.

9 RespuestasSorry too much content
Really good idea great work
4 RespuestasThat's really good. I feel like with how much story it has, and how long it seems, it could almost be part way between a strike and a raid, maybe even a new game mode.
-
3 RespuestasWhy would something that can fly need legs?
-
Bump for positivity

3 RespuestasI have an idea for a different dialogue for veterans First seeing the glowing dreg Ghost: wait that dregs been modified. This new fallen house has splicers remember them from the plague lands? After the battle with the Barron Ghost: if this house has splicers we better keep a eye on them don’t want another siva crisis on our hands

2 RespuestasVery well thought out, nice to see creative minds
-
2 RespuestasBoss can't be unique, has to be a regular enemy but bigger with a different name. Too much effort.
-
2 RespuestasGreat idea - we’ll put together
-
2 RespuestasSounds like you can actually script a conversation together. Sorry bungie prefers random banter that doesn't fit within it's own story. Hollywood is the same. What you need is a grant to develop and write your own ip.
-
4 RespuestasLove it!

2 RespuestasPlease make more and some story missions
-
5 RespuestasUp until you said walker legs, I had envisaged a massive servitor with tiny dreg legs ha

1 Respuesta.....really bro

I need glasses. I read Duck Slicers. Now someone or the duck death DeeJ post please.

4 RespuestasBungie need this kind of creativity but i do think it would be a little fast you do want to add some additional segments

9 RespuestasGood concept but I think it would be better if there was more to the strike since it seems like most of it is just the boss. Maybe you would have to chase it throughout the strike like Taniks? But the dialogue is good and feels like an actual story
