I was handing in tokens STRICTLY on my hunter just to get the helm. Didn't care for any other armor pieces for the Hunter and other 2 characters. Just wanted the hunter helm. Got it on my 45th package. I handed in 60 packages in total but after 45 i started handing in tokens on my Titan n Warlock. The method I used at 1st was i saved 200 on the 1st day (10 packages worth) and handed them in. No helm 2nd day another 200, no helm 3rd day another 200, no helm 4th day decided 200 in a day wasnt working and got to a point where i wanted to completely stop playing the game because i didn't feel rewarded, so I said I'm just gonna save all my tokens and hand them in on Monday before reset. I skipped playing on Friday but by Monday i had 600 tokens to hand in. I had already handed in 600 without getting the helm. After i got the helmet i had 300 tokens left which means i got it on my 45th package which is just ridiculous man. People were out there getting it on their 1st or 2nd try meanwhile people like u who dedicated so many hours to get 66 packages worth of tokens and u dont get the helm. Just insane man. I dont even blame u if u quit. I brought up having a vendor that sold all the pieces of armor and weapons for 100 tokens each. But it more than likely makes too much sense for Bungie. There are 5 armor pieces per character type and I believe 9 or 10 weapons in this past iron banner. So i did the math. If u have 3 characters and want the full set of armor for each character, it will cost 500 tokens per character if it was sold at 100 per piece in the vendor. 3 characters would equal 1500 tokens. Say the weapons equal 1000 n that brings the total to 2500 tokens. That's a SERIOUS grind if u wanted to achieve everything Iron Banner had to offer. Here's some more math. Each match has a 8 minute timer and usually 90% of the matches time out so it takes the full 8 minutes. Loading into another match will take lets say 2 minutes so basically 10 minutes per every match. Let's just say u and your team are just awesome PVP players n win every single match u play in banner. That means u get 5 tokens every 10 minutes and 30 every hour. 2500 tokens ÷ 30 every hour = 83.3333333 hours needed to play to achieve every piece. 83.33333333 hours ÷ 7 days a week = 12 hours a day. I doubt anyone with a job or a family or who is a student can achieve that. Which will force people to use their tokens on the gear n weapons they want the most n then finish getting the rest of the set in the next iron banner. 2 iron banners should be enough to get everything. Then my suggestion would be that in the 3rd iron banner release, they add a new set of armor n weapons to grind for. But of course, all of this still sucks when the gear has set stats. If the boots u acquired have no recovery, it will ALWAYS have no recovery because the stats on it are set. They really need to add something where u can change the stats on armor once u receive the piece. Suggestion for that can happen in many different fun ways but i don't wanna get into that. But yeah, bring vendors in the game and give players the ability to change stats in armor pieces n this game might have a chance.

Wow.. I thought my drops were bad. It only took me 44 packges to get the helmet. 44! I THOUGHT 44 WAS ALOT! Jesus Christ.. I feel so bad for you my dude.

In this game the odds are right on par. The inability to purchase what you want after hours of work is not only lazy game design but just a huge -blam!- you to everyone playing. It's a way to keep things "fair". Ok, Bungie, but 30 hours of iron banner should give me a full armor set for ONE damn character!! Old iron banner was so much better it's just a huge slap in the face now. Just one of about 100 things wrong with this crap game.
