Was just watching a video on how Blizzard is changing Mercy in Overwatch. Rather than a blanket team resurrect, she will now feature enhanced abilities instead, including the very interesting change: When in Ultimate, Mercy's weapon has infinite ammo and fires more quickly.
That got me to thinking, what if a reworked Sunsinger included the ability to have a bottomless magazine for your primary/kinetic weapon during Super?
The whole theme of Radiance is becoming temporarily one with the Light. It enhanced one's neutral game, reducing cooldowns on grenades and melee, and reduced damage taken.
Who says it would have to stop there? Why not affect your weapons/armor as well?
For example, infinite primary/kinetic ammo, and increased stability and reload speed on all weapons (akin to Gunslinger's Trance and Chain of Woe perks).
Also, I'm aware that many dislike Fireborn (self-res). Perhaps that could be changed to allow you to resurrect a teammate or teammates instead? Sort of reaching into the Darkness, and pulling your friend back out.
I think that sounds freaking awesome!
What are your thoughts? Should self-resurrect ever return? Should Sunsinger be a more support focused subclass? Let me know!
EDIT: I'm aware Sunsinger isn't back in D2. Let's think more long-term.

Affecting allies is a different situation. * Sunsinger was lackluster in character feedback. The ultimate ability specifically was very unresponsive and did not provide a definitive experience to it being used. It was very passive which was counter-productive to the design goal for the supers which appeared (and appears) to be an ability that has a strong presence that is difficult to go unnoticed. * The ultimate ability should provide a rich and engaging experience that sets the standard class gameplay aside for something fresh, even if it is a minimal distinction. Radiance suffered from lacking this.

2 RespuestasCompletely agree with this. If it were in my hands, I would also increase Radiance's ability to recover and it's agility, and as well as the things you suggested. This way Warlock Sunsinsgers would really go Super Saiyan.

6 RespuestasSunsinger's not returning. It's been remade into Dawnblade.

1 RespuestaBut... you already have your reworked SunSinger. It's called DawnBlade, and they removed your Self Revive to stop worrying about breaking Raid Mechanics.

9 RespuestasEditado por Zelrons: 8/24/2017 8:33:04 PMThere are no primary weapons anymore. Radiance actually did buff your weapon damage but only in Super v Super situations. Mercy's Pistol also sucks so this kind of buff just brings it up to being viable.
