Considering they have been hunted to extinction, it would have to have something to do with time travel. I would love to see that.
If it were to happen, it would probably not be a solely ahamkara-focused expansion. Rather it would have one of the established enemy factions, such as the Vex, trying to harness their power against the Guardians.

If they had a raid that was similar to the Titanfall 2 time travel mission, I would never stop playing it. Imagine it: you're exploring a Vex structure built around an old forgotten human colony, and all of a sudden your team gets thrown back in time to the Golden Age, but something's wrong about it. Everyone is missing, and ahamkaras (ahamkari?) are swarming the place by the thousands, accompanied by groups of Vex that seem to be controlling them. As you fight your way to the middle of the colony, every so often your team gets thrown from one time period to another and back again. Vex in present day, ahamkara and Vex in the past. Idk what the boss fights would be, but I would imagine one of them to be a giant dragon.
