When said old stuff is replacing new stuff we should be getting, paying for a new game.

Who's to say they're not just tacking it on top of all the new stuff.

because that same stuff could be new stuff. but instead it has to be old stuff

But it's not like there is no new stuff because they added a few older pieces of gear, I doubt that there is any inhibition at all.

Lets say the max amount of "new" stuff they could make is 500 items. Why not take the 500, PLUS 100 old ones? Who is to say they skipped out on new items just to bring back old ones?

Because the whole reason they told us our guardians, emotes, emblems, shaders, etc. could not transfer over is that it's a new system. I guess that conveniently doesn't apply here...

They can easily tweak stats to fit the new system.

They said nothing transfers over, they never said you'd have to regrind for possible old gear. I'm ok with exotics coming to d2, as long as there's a ton more in d2
