Since all of PVP is now capped at a squad of 4, now is the right time for Bungie to increase the current cap of 3 in PVE content to 4 as well.
This will increase the social aspect, and allow squads to seamlessly transfer between both game modes without having to boot someone, or be short 1 squad member.
Come on Bungie, you can do it. Various exploits have already proven that Patrol mode can handle a squad of 6, so 4 is a non-issue in terms of logistics. The only semi feasible excuses would be balance (which can be tweaked) or laziness (need motivation from the community). Lets get this rolling!

[b][u]"I"[/u][/b] think 4 man teams will be the norm when a 4th Class is added. Aside from the jarring 4v4 change to PVP it seemed like each slot was intended for 1 of the 3 classes. But this just me trying to find logic in Bungie's design.

1 RespuestaI don't know about strikes. Too many people leave or go afk during them. That is annoying. I could jump on the bandwagon for having a larger fire team in patrol though.

It's not going to happen, but I would love if they increased the firsteam cap to 4 (8 for raids) to make for smoother transitions between PvE and PvP.

Its absolutely logical for Bungo that we join with 6 friends and play the raid, then kick two of our friends, so we could play some pvp, just to kick another one that we can do some strikes or patrol. And thats why they implemented Clan banners. The ones who can't play with their team, have to hold the banner up in the farm until they finally can join. Or play football in the meantime...

6 RespuestasIt's too late. D2 has already been designed. The release is just a month away. And if you think one or two AFK players are an annoyance in strikes, imagine how bad it would be with two or three of them AFK.

4 RespuestasI love how if you wanna do a raid with your friends and then wanna do crucible when you finish you need to split everyone up. Friendships will end when 2 people have to be booted just to play anything that has to do with pvp. Since 6v6 will never return, or so they say

This is really at this time since we know next to nothing about the full game. But this here is my biggest gripe. Be nice to jump between patrols and PvP with out dropping or picking up another player.

Actually I just realized this would make PVE be 1 second faster, probably destroying the servers and burning now their offices.

Presumably they've designed encounters around a specific number of players, and scaled damage/sponges likewise. We already have people voicing concerns that they felt underpowered in PVE. Rebalancing player power to accommodate increased fireteam size might well leave them feeling even weaker in solo play.
