bungie has the tools to see who cheats who lagswitches who ddos's etc
so why dont they ip ban or perma ban tgem?
-
Yeah. Look at the banning system of Asphalt 8 series. They are serious.

1 RespuestaBanned accounts can't purchase silver.

2 RespuestasWelcome to the world: It's cut-throat, unfair, and -blam!-ing rigged. Enjoy.
-
1 RespuestaBecause they have such a small gamer base playing right now that they would rather it be full of cheating a$$ holes than lose player

13 RespuestasEditado por aboniks: 7/29/2017 2:01:13 AMIP bans are trivially easy to work around, and even less specific than MAC bans. How would you suggest Bungie identify people in order to permanently ban them? DNA? Social Security Number? Maybe tattoo "SHITBIRD" on their foreheads in comic sans and make all of us use facial recognition to log on? It's a question of what's practical, and what's economical. This isn't Fort Knox. You gotta be realistic about how important game cheating is in the real world where casual video game developers deposit royalty checks: Not very.

Who cares. Casual game

2 RespuestasI just had a friend who tried playing Trials this weekend. He got hit offline 3 times I think, and one of the times was from someone I recognize as a notorious ddoser. It's sad how the code of conduct here is so bad that they practically protect cheaters.

FYI comcast and other isp are now blocking speed to isp's. Thank you trump. Are Isp are now do there side blocking speeds with no law they need to follow. Since the video game is peer to peer is in the dark ages , and servers are also and video game companies just letting the licking . Some those idoits using old dial up programs now. since are speed slowing down.

Because many people have multiple players on their network. So, say I'm at work and my stepson gets a ban put on our IP's, I would be totally screwed when I get home and want to blow off steam in the crucible.

1 RespuestaWhile I do agree they all need to be banned it may not be as simple to actually do if they are not located in the US.Some foreign countries have much different laws regarding stuff like this and it maybe illegal for Bungie or even Sony to take action.

12 RespuestasWhy are you still crying about this when the game is dead. Go play another game for a month instead of playing a game that only has the bottom of the swamp player base similar to a scummy defense attorney, criminal and democrat.

2 RespuestasEditado por isaac13d: 7/30/2017 5:00:22 AMAlso have to figure in the face that not everybody who's accused of cheating is actually cheating. Lotta people get salty when they lose, some of them get so salty the come to the forums to try and pull a name and shame on the innocent or guilty, and it doesn't really matter if you're innocent since people won't believe it anyways, cause one the accusation is out there . . . It's impossible to undo it. P.S. proving a does attack is almost impossible without actually recording the incident and the ip address that did it.
-
They care more about what people say on these damn forums than cheaters in the game
-
False. Even governments have a very hard time trying to trap a ddos attack....let alone a gaming company.

1. They DO do account and console bans. 2. Bans aren't 100% effective. Anyone willing enough to cheat likely also has ways to get around bans of any kind, some more than others and with more determination. 3. They can't be everywhere at once banning every little shit that pops up instantly all day, every day, 24/7. They're not magical omniscient beings. Even if they do have tools to help detect cheating methods, they still have to go through them with their eyeballs and make sure it's actually factual cheating and not false flags. 4. Not everything is caught by said tools and those who aren't can't get caught if they aren't reported by the people getting cheated.

45 Respuestasi had a kid come out and admit to me that he payed his friend to ddos us on the 9th win of a trials card i reported him and blocked him, he has yet to be banned
-
3 Respuestas8th player with the highest elo on PlayStation trials has a 0.4kd and hasn't been banned yet. Every game all his enemies are kicked out and he's never even been suspended.

2 RespuestasYour IP address can change when you reboot your router. Very few people have fixed IP addresses. They are normally dynamically allocated when you connect to your provider. The MAC address of a network card (for example, the one on your console) should be unique. I believe that consoles can get perma bans by companies blocking the MAC address
-
True, there needs to be an IP/Console ban.

It's probably because almost everyone at bungie is working on D2. Only like 5 people are still working on D1.
