What? I thought you were building a more challenging game. Bullet sponges aren't the only way to make a challenge.
I'm shocked that people actually had problems dodging the tubing and getting to the safe spots. I didn't even see the safe spots the first time through.
Also how old was this build, Luke says he was surprised to see two generator turbines.....
Maybe include a tutorial for new players, most of us know how to jump.

Probably the EXACT same people who could not get to the top of the mountain in ROI LOL😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Kinda funny. Seen this same type of jump puzzle in tons of games. Jumping high is a trap. Run in the same direction as the lower turbine.

1 RespuestaImagine being a brand new player, just learning the game. I've played about 2 years of this game and thought that was annoying. It would be extremely difficult for a brand new player.
-
1 RespuestaThese changes were made before the beta was put out. If people were having a hard time with this part of the mission it was the Bungie employees themselves. It's not to hard to imagine if you ever watched 5 minutes of deej before playing the game during some of the past reveals.
-
I actually laughed at this. People had an issue with something so simple? They literally gave us an onscreen notification! I honestly feel as if these veteran players were well below the age of 10.
-
5 RespuestasI don't get why everyone is getting upset about this. It's a beta, things change!!
-
Editado por FL0W: 7/27/2017 9:30:14 PMI easily did it the first time I played the beta without wven thinking about it. Should this be a "riddle" or something like that? They even point you to the first one and say that there are two or three (can't even remember because it was so easy and boring)? It's so easy that people struggling to finish this crap are truly mentally challenged.

That's not really challenging. That's also not the kind of challenge there is to a game like destiny. The challenge is teamwork, is having weapons that you can use effectively. Stupid environmental hazards aren't a challenge. The flames on the ceiling for instance on the fear's embrace mission for TTK. They were just stupid. They were just clutter when you're trying to focus on shooting or a task that's not needed and more an annoyance than a challenge.

3 RespuestasEditado por CarnivalLaw: 7/27/2017 3:04:13 PMI found the turbine challenge more annoying than difficult. Certainly wasn't inspired game-making.

1 RespuestaIf you've ever done a raid with pvp centric players this wouldn't surprise you

10 RespuestasThere are a few details that are conveniently left out here. * The mission was edited without beta influence i.e: It was already changed before any players tried it out. * Only one of the turbines has been removed. Those turbines are the large spinning poles that jut out from the center column . My guess is that the upper turbine was removed because it was not as influential in the challenge. The removal of that turbine doesn't seem like it will impact the difficulty much. * This is key here
...we found it to be too challenging — you know, especially for that opening sequence of the game...
: What Luke Smith is referring to here is the aspect of building up a players capability within the game world that is designed. It's actually smart not to have too challenging encounters in games early on as it will turn away players that are new to the type of game or mechanics involved. Slow roping the player by involving slightly more difficult tasks as the game progresses is a natural form of difficulty progression.

1 Respuesta
I'm shocked that people actually had problems dodging the tubing and getting to the safe spots. I didn't even see the safe spots the first time through.
The Warlock is too floaty and has no directional speed what so ever in flight. It made that part unnecessarily difficult. Not impossible, but stupidly problematic.

5 RespuestasOnce again, the whines of scrubs have dumbed down the game.
-
3 RespuestasI'm sure the removal of one turbine was the result of scrubs whining because they don't know how to jump. I did this part in the Homecoming mission on all classes and it was so easy with two turbines. Bungie is attempting to tap into the mellow casual player crowd so they are dumbing down the game.

Editado por Zuper Greek: 7/27/2017 7:58:49 PMI think the general consensus around here and other forums is that that kind of change wasn't necessary. Also I still don't know how people didn't know how to jump since you were required to jump to higher catwalks and ledges many times before that encounter. Really stupid change tbh.

1 RespuestaFor real this is going to be one of those moments when a lot of people are going to be privately embarrassed about not seeing the obvious. Anyone who ever played on a merry-go-round knows it spins faster to the outside. If you get closer to the hub you are moving much slower. So... If you jump down just after the bar passes and angle toward the left and run you will drop into the safe zone without being touched every single time. It really is that easy. Wish I would have posted a video, but I never dreamed it was a something at all.

Editado por Vrexxen: 7/27/2017 3:17:16 PMWait, people had a hard time with this? That was the dirt simplest objective ive ever seen. Fall into the first hole, shoot object, wait for counter lowest arm to pass over head, jump, sprint, follow lowest arm until you fall into the next hole. Rinse repeat. I literary did not even have to stop and think about how to do that section. It was intuitive and natural.

2 RespuestasI also wonder what light level we'll be while doing that mission... How many abilities will we have unlocked and such...
-
2 RespuestasJust lol. I can't believe this is getting dumbed down. Kiss any challenge in the raids good bye. Lost Sectors will be dumbed down. This is getting worse and worse.
-
I got through it first try as a hunter with just double jump
-
1 Respuestathe turbine part was not hard at all. i am seriously wondering what kind of people will play D2 now. just wow on this.
-
OMG head in hands. If a silly old fool like me can work it out then there is no hope for humanity. Seriously I hope those people are utterly embarrassed for a long time.
-
3 RespuestasThe turbines mess with your jump on top of D2 being even floatier. As a hunter they were infuriating because I'm used to dropping right away like in D1. Only thing that made it hard. It screwed with everyone's ingrained jump timing.
-
10 RespuestasI think it's more to do with the slow movement speed, I know I got caught from behind a few times
-
Really? I mean, wtf? There was nothing hard about that.
-
Editado por Freikugel-: 7/27/2017 3:38:53 AMThis doesn't bode well. How would these people survive raid mechanics even? I hope this nerf only extends to these early missions to accomodate newcomers and nothing else.
