On Thursday, a little more than a month after the shooting, officials announced that the case is closed – the Pontotoc County District Attorney ruled the shooting was a ‘justifiable use of deadly force under Oklahoma Law.’
I was ecstatic to hear this. What are your thoughts?

Excellent. Saved two babies and rid the world of a scumbag.
-
I can't believe people are sad for this guy, as one of my heroes always said, "If you want to kill, you must accept that you might be killed." Or something like that. Besides, he died a funny and pathetic death. What really matters is those babies.
-
3 RespuestasI remember I questioned this when I initially heard of it. Seemed odd to me that firing a gun in the direction of two baby's would ever be a good decision. But.. these people have more info on all of it than I do, so I'm fine with this decision.
-
1 RespuestaI'm sad when people are killed even in self-defense. I hope I wouldn't hesitate to use a gun on another person in an absolute, absolute last-resort situation, but I would still be sad.
-
3 RespuestasAnd yet I still come across people who say that guns owned by civilians have never saved lives. They'll look me right in the eyes and say it. Either lying or brainwashed.

I'm glad he got away with no charges.

3 RespuestasPlot twist, the babies were demons and the guy was saving the world.
Seriously though, why was the guy drowning babies?
-
That's good I remember a post about this
-
In the original news reports it sounded like a clear case of reasonable use of deadly force in defense of others, and it looks like the police and district attorney's investigation bore that out. Looks like a good call and a sound exercise of prosecutorial discretion to me.
-
That's great, he saved twin babies and shouldn't be punished.

Saving lives by a responsible gun owner. His kids were in jeopardy. Last resort is to do such but had he not acted or had the means to end the station it could have been worse. Every situation differs and this was an extreme case. Sadly someone died but it saved two children. Something to think on when places don't have guns or people don't use them hate them out of fear.

2 RespuestasYeah, I will agree. If someone attempts to harm or take the life of another human being, he or she forfeits their right to life imo. If your trying to rob a store and you could and have the intent to hurt people to get what you want, I feel no remorse for when the cop or armed civilian puts two through your chest and one through your heaf

Excellent news!
-
1 RespuestaThis is good news indeed. I can't see how his use of deadly force was unreasonable. If anyone does, please tell.

Ey, nice! Now this is what justice looks like.
