Specifically:
What's the file size of beta.
What date & time can we start downloading the beta.
Edit:
Also if we can preload it.
The reason I've asked about the file size is so I can figure out how long it will take to download.
For me a 8-10gb file would 30-60 minutes, for one of my mates it would take 4-6 hours.

It'll be small. Bungie said they spoiled too much last beta and wants it to be a lot smaller than last time.
-
Most beta builds are in flux up to the day of release. Some even change after that. Destiny vanilla beta let us eventually play the moon. It wasn't supposed to be included. If your system is full delete something you can re download. Play beta. Delete beta. Re install deleted game. I've never seen beta notes, prior to downloading. Beta builds are not sold so they don't require the same documentation, until download is available.

7 RespuestasEditado por chickengoujohn93: 7/7/2017 10:09:44 PM15-25GB seeing as the game is supposedly 70GB. The same systems that will be in the game have to be in the Beta for it to run. A pre-load is very important in such of small window of playing time. Why? Because it may be only time where Destiny may be red bar free and will give a poor reflection of the game as a result if they are not in the mix. Whilst alot of people are enjoying themselves playing Countdown, the red bars players will still be downloading the Beta. It gives both Bungie and the players the false impression that the new networking system is working and little to no adjustments need to be made prior to release.

1 RespuestaEditado por slimdeathstar: 7/7/2017 9:00:38 AM12:01 pacific time. July 18. for ps4 12:01 pacific time July 19 for xbox one I would estimate around 10gb-20gb "DOWNLOAD" Size. Depending on how they release it. Y1 Destiny beta was 20gb on PS4. with an 11 gb update. If they just break the links to the maps, but they're still there it will be larger. Full size vanilla at release will probably be 60 gb+ seeing as how the texture sizes will be increasing on a lot of things. There is also more foliage from what I've seen. By the end of the year you should be at 80gb.
