"B-But you just said you never did. You called me a freak...which I am."
She sighed.
"I don't deserve your love."
English
-
Cannon shifted, holding her so she could see his eyes. They were full of love. "Traci. I love you. You are not a freak. Not any more than I am."
-
She winced at first, but nodded slowly. "O-Okay..."
-
He pulles her back into another hug. "I'm so sorry this happened to you..."
-
"I deserved it..." She hugged him back, showing little emotion in her voice.
-
"Traci, don't you ever say that. You are the most amazing daughter I could ever have asked for." He held her tightly. "Please don't talk that way..." She felt one of his tears hit her shoulder.
-
"I do though...I suck....I'm a waste of space...and time...." She shut her eyes and sighed again. "You should leave me here."
-
"Traci, don't talk that way!" More tears ran down his face, and he trembled. "Do you remember what your name means, Tracinya?" He asked suddenly.
-
"Something with fire? A flower? Something with an f. Why? You should have left by now."
-
"Your name means flame, Traci. Because you're a light. You're my light. Every time you smile, every time you laugh, it lights up my life with joy." He held her. "You're what makes my life worth living, Traci. Now more than ever."
-
"Sure...but in reality I'm a raging fire that burned down your marriage. It' was my fault...you should hate me."
-
"Traci, you had nothing to do with that. That was me. My fault. Not yours." He gently rubbed her back to soothe her. "If anything, I don't deserve you."
-
"No, you've got it flipped, father. I'm sorry. You really should go. Get out of here."
-
"Traci... I'm not leaving without you. You don't understand, I've screwed up so much..." He sighed. "I've almost killed you, Traci... You don't remember it but..." He took a shakey breath. "I'm so sorry."
-
"Don't be. I should've died anyway." She sighed again. "Then I guess I should get up if you won't leave without me."
-
When he heard he say that, about her dying, something snapped in him. He began to shake, violently, and his breath came in short gasps. "No... You... You don't talk like that... Please..."
-
"Why? It's true. Honestly you should probably kill me right now and leave my body. I shouldn't be alive."
-
"Traci, I would rather die than so nuch as scratch you. Please... Please don't talk that way." He begged.
-
"Can we just go?" Traci tried to stand up.
-
"Y-yeah..." He slowly stood as well, picking up his helmet. They stepped over the body, which was melting into black sludge. Cannon stumbled, clutching his throat. "You two aren't going anywhere.". Came a female voice from the shadows.
-
"Huh?" Traci turned towards the voice.
-
Cannon collapsed to his knees, there was a dark sticking from his neck. "Unless you want your father to die, you won't be going anywhere."
-
"At this point I doubt he can die, but I'll give you till the count of three to let him go."
-
"Kid, you aren't in any place to bargain. That dart I hit him with is poisoned. You want the cure you do what we say." The woman said, smiling.
-
"The people at the Dojo could easily cure him, but fine. What is it? If I don't like it you die."
-
"The dojo dosent have a cure for this one, I made sure of it. But he's a part of a promise that was never kept to me, so I'm here to collect." A dozen Mandalorians in Deathwatch armor surround them.
