I seriously don't know now. I'm a little less hyped for the release of D2. A lot of you brought up some very good points in other post about your clans and your raid teams.
I'm paraphrasing:
After a raid sometimes me and my team like too play some pvp. "Hey guys we were going too play some pvp, I have too kick two of you". That will go over well.
If you find the guy that said that, bump his comment because that is one of the main things us team players and helpful players hate most about this change. We hate too kick people feeling like a @ick after spending hrs having fun with the Full Team. I'll take fun 6v6 (clash, mayhem, ect) over competitive play any day of the week. Idk if you've heard bungie....BUT MOST PLAYERS HATE ToO!!!
"nah, we'll read it on reddit"~Luke
I find soooo many good post on b.net you'd think some of these players were devs. I also see a lot of complaints but its not because we hate the game. Its because we love it, and hate what its becoming in some areas.
I just really don't understand bungies thought process. I cant speak for anyone else, but they only partially listen to some players. Am I alone on this?
Edit: Thanks for the comments and votes. A lot of people are on the fence about the change and its understandable. Took me by surprise. Nothing left to do but wait for the beta....sigh I guess. I'm not at all excited as I once was...like wow.

19 RespuestasIt's more competitive, less dependent on being carried by your team, and will help with lag. I'm very much in favor of it.
-
3 RespuestasSince nobody has played it yet, why don't you clam the f uck down.

3 RespuestasGood. 2 less idiots thinking that this is clash/rumble/skirmish instead of control/rift/etc

2 RespuestasI love how everyone complains about lag and latency in PvP and yet when Bungie tries to come up a solution could potentially satisfy both us (less lag/latency) and them (sticking with p2p) people want to tear it down before we even get the beta. People are already dissecting the gameplay footage complaining about slow/slower ttks. Everyone, take a deep breath. Now hold it until the beta comes out. Then after it's concluded release all of your wild rage. At least then we'll have real opinions based on our own experiences.

I love it but feel 6v6 would still be fun to run every now and again

2 RespuestasThere are pros and cons to the 4v4 PvP. I understand where you're coming from. For all other players who do not have a fireteam, 4v4 seems like a good compromise. As for the competitiveness of either 6v6 or 4v4, I am on the fence on this. I have played Control the most and I love this PvP mode. However, sometimes, it can get a little overwhelming. The sheer number of opponents give little time for strategy. Most of the time, people, including myself, just run around without any thought to what the immediate goal is, be it fall back and regroup, or split into two groups and cover choke points. This is why I have come to like 3v3 modes, especially Skirmish. There is more time to figure things out, especially if you're playing with randoms who don't necessarily want to talk over game chat. Some people thrive in sheer chaos and come out winners. I respect players who get at least 20+ kills with a positive k/d. Some people prefer the more intense game 3v3 game modes, and that is fine too. I'm not trying to side with anyone, but I think Bungie's move to 4v4 is a good compromise.

Pushing community and stripping down player size... Because that makes sense.
-
They've settled on 4v4 because it will reduce the strain on the ancient p2p system. It's garbage.

“I’ll go out and find some more of that Mulan Szechuan Teriyaki dipping sauce, Morty, because that’s what this is all about Morty – that’s my one-armed man! I’m not driven by avenging my dead family, Morty, that was fake, I’m driven by finding that McNugget sauce. I want that Mulan McNugget sauce, Morty, that’s my series arc, Morty, if it takes nine seasons, I want my McNugget dipping sauce Szechuan sauce, Morty, that’s what’s going to take us all the way to the end, Morty, nine more seasons Morty, nine more seasons until I get that dipping Szechuan sauce, for 97 more years, I want that McNugget sauce, Morty.”

I don't think I'm going to like it I'm more of a run and gun player and 4v4 seems like it's gonna be centered around campy play style
-
I'm a bit concerned because on a regular bases 1 or 2 players leave a match and your left 2 down in 6v6 you can tighten things up a bit until someone loads in but with 4v4 if 2 leave and you are 2v4 you are SOL just my 2 cents

1 RespuestaThis link will help to explain the root cause for the 4v4 PvP MMO downgrade and why you will not see larger multiplayer PvE or PvP content in the future in D2 (in my opinion). Bottom line: The P2P (Peer-to-Peer) system substantially hurts and limits both PvE and PvP gameplay and certain types of content expansions. P2P is not industry standard for FPS MMOs https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/227233368/0/0

I think in terms of balancing competitive it will be fine but I would not mind to see a 6 v 6 or an 8 v 8 either. I was hoping strikes were going to be 4 player too but it sounds like they are still 3 player. 8 player raids would be neat if their engine could handle it. 6 player patrols is a must.
-
I think it will set up 4 v 4 ToO. Which should make it hard for carries.
-
There should be an option where it says
I play pve lol
-
Different modes should have different player count. Countdown is basically S&D, so it felt weird watching it with only 4 players on each team. It feels like the rounds go too fast for it to be 4v4. I'd expect different game modes like Clash to be 4v4 and I'd be fine with it

4v4, 3v3, 6v6 it's all the same to me, I mostly play PVP solo

They said EVERY game mode is now 4v4, right? So when trials comes back...
oh god...
Im scared. Heres why. I like to use auto rifles. I only play 6s. When i play 3s now, heres how i do: Try to flank enemy And close the gap. Go through a hallway aka sniper alley, then i see two lights from two sniper rifle wielding guardians, bang I'm dead. Zero fun. I hope the sniper rifle ammo becoming power weapon ammo will make it better.

Editado por Mane_UK: 5/22/2017 2:02:42 PMAll my destiny fireteam stuff has been in multiples of 3. All of it. If they changed destiny 2 to be a four-person fireteam (and 8 for the raids!), then 4-person crucible makes sense. Otherwise, it's totally mismatched in terms of who's going to come along. It means that one laggy player will be more of a problem, since he is now 25% of the opposing team. Lore-wise how is it justified? You need to practice before the fighting the darkness, but practice mode there will be 4 on you, then out against the bad guys, only 3. Has Shaxx gone senile and is having some number/memory problems? Edit to say: options! Let us have 4v4 if people wanted it (did anyone ask for it? I looked but could only find PvE requests for 4-player teams). I'd like 12v12 for a drunken Friday night clan mayhem private match, forcing everything 4v4 doesn't sound like a good idea.
-
I'm sure we will get some version of Btb and all will be fine. From a competitive standpoint, I'm pumped for 4v4...6v6 can get out of hand with snowballing supers and grenade spam. Also, excited grenades and abilities seem to be toned down so that now we gotta rely more on gunplay. After all, it is a fps.
-
Decidedly on the fence. I'm a filthy casual.... lol. Really the only time I pvp is when my fireteam gets on and we randomly decide to play. Now, 2 will be left out. That kind of sucks.
-
I'll still play it, just makes it easier for the fireteams to have their own squad to pub stomp. Nothing new, it's a wonder they even have girlfriends, from bungie sucking their diiiiiik all the time
