[PvE] Shotgun reload speed needs to be adjusted
Bungie,
Now that special ammo crates load ammo directly to the magazine in PvP, how about increasing shotgun reload speed where it counts: PvE?
Shotgun reload speed has been far too punishing for too long. Now that it is a moot point in the crucible, please cut us some slack in the battle against NPC's, please!

Have you tried farming for a shotgun with reload perks like Cascade, Feeding Frenzy, and I think maybe Spray and Play?

Empty a mag, reload Empty a mag, reload Empty a mag, reload Empty a mag, reload And finally that one collosus is dead.... Its like the only weapons we're allowed to use in pve are high impact snipers and swords...

1 RespuestaIf shotgun reload speed is going to take forever, shotgun performance needs to go back to how it was for PVE in HoW. 1-2 shots would wipe out a major, and shotguns had just enough range to make them viable in [u]SOME[/u] boss encounters in POE and in strikes.

Game feels pretty dead, I know it's not, but the PvE grind is pointless since the drop rates for armor are complete ass and the weapons we're getting are... ...wait for it... [b]...[i]nowhere near as useful as what we already have![/i][/b] And as far as PvP is concerned... well, it's dead to half of us and the other half are somehow enjoying it. Not sure how they do it, but I need Iron Banner Rank 5 for the book and yet I have absolutely no desire to play. Rank 5 is a free Doctrine, Control is my favorite mode... It shouldn't even be a question of whether or not I feel like it, those rewards should be making me grind like hell for it. And by the end of the week, who knows, maybe I will have. But I just can't play the cancer that is the current PvP meta without getting tilted. Because it's not a Primary meta, it's just an exclusive meta. You either run your Invective/UR or NLB/IB or Sidearm for easy-mode kills, or you're the poor sap whose K/D suffers for playing 'as intended.' And that's not to say I want a low ttk meta; I'm just tired of people falsely praising this one for being something it isn't. Every match is a bunch of sweats using the usual. We just changed out Legendary Specials for Exotics. We're paying for constant ammo availability by abusing guns with less useful perks for PvP. That's the only difference. Or you make the sacrifice of ammo uptime to use a gun with PvP-oriented perks. But then you risk not having Special to counter 1.) other Special, 2.) Abilities/Supers, 3.) Heavy, or 4.) Primaries outside your Primary's niche. I can't believe how many people still think Special Ammo nerfs work. We tried it already. It stagnated the game, especially in small team games. 6's felt it slightly less. But here we are again, at the end of a long road, and yet we find ourselves at the same obstruction; How is it anybody even expects Destiny 2 to be different from its predecessor?

Guardians reload in battle like we are taking a -blam!-ing stroll and have all the time in the world just, la le la le laaaa. Blame Pv--blam!-ing-P for that.

1 RespuestaI don't have any problems with reloading shotguns in PvE, just use shotgun reload speed gauntlets and you will be fine.

If your a year 1 player shame on you, if your not then I understand why you feel entitled for something as tedious and pointless as shotgun reload speed to be improved because you can't handle it for god knows what game mode or situation) 2 Tips for you: 1) Be mindful of your ammo/mag when playing when it's EMPTY put the aforementioned ammo into the also aforementioned magazine. 2) For the difficult task of tip 1 I would recommend not standing in front of a splicer captain, knight, or ANY ENEMY for that matter. Your health bar will be invincible if your not getting shot at. BONUS TIP: In the future don't waste your time whining about a such a hilarious complaint. Sincerely a Guardian who not only uses the travelers light, but a BRAIN.

8 RespuestasShotgun range in PvE isn't as important as in PvP, so feel free to take off rifled barrel to increase your reload speed.

If you want your reload speed to be slower, find gauntlets that decrease the time or use perks that increase the speed. I didn't like the slow reload speed on First Curse so I found gauntlets that increased my reload speed well enough. Feeding Frenzy is a fantastic perk for shotguns.
