Oracles are the biggest pain your first run through. We found 2 people using Dark Drinkers could one shot oracles. Razelighter uppercut works too but it's tougher to land. Wrath's Quantiplasm shotgun can down an oracle in 3 shots and a void one will make quick work of 390 Minotaurs..

Use the invisible smoke. It will save your life.

Done VoG quite a bit. About 30-40 times I've completed the whole thing. Your primary does NOT need to be an elemental primary. Unless it's Atheon's Epilogue, which deals Void and helps with Mintotaurs and Praetorians. For the Spire, and generally the whole raid, you want Scouts and Snipers. These deal a ton of damage and you can help out a plate while the guys over there are having trouble. Confluxes are generally the same, but tether helps a ton on left side with the amount of enemies coming from each side. Oracles are where Raid weapons truely matter. Hopefully they still have Oracle Disruptor, as it makes some weapons one shot oracles. Praetorian Foil is recommended here, along with Found Verdict, and Corrective Measure. Use Super Good Advice if you don't have any of those, as it's signature perk gives back almost all bullets that miss, and oracles don't count as enemies. Templar is the first boss, and as such you want Ghorn or Sleeper to deal massive damage. To my knowledge no raid weapon deals more damage to actual enemies. Swords are beaten by raid weapons and SGA to take out Oracles. DON'T USE SWORDS. (Except for Gatekeeper, but I'll explain that later). A Defender would be nice here along with a Nightstalker to deal even more damage to Templar. Please don't kill harpies. For Gorgons, take weapons with Lightweight and if you're going for the node in the book take Ghorn. Gatekeeper is definitely the hardest encounter in the whole raid. It required a lot of coordination to complete. Void weapons are very prominent here to take out the Praetorians trying to reclaim the plates. Use Void shotguns and to eliminate the first Gatekeeper use rockets and snipers. Atheon is the biggest bullet sponge besides Golgoroth and original Valus Ta'arc. Use Raid weapons to take out oracles and for Atheon himself use Sleeper and Snipers. Swear to god if new Raid weapons don't have Oracle Disruptor.
