I can officially say that I know Bungie was so pissed when we cheesed this raid over and over; and they are much happier with what we have now.
They probably said to themselves, 'oh man our game is trash,' when we were all enjoying VOG and standing on a ledge using Icebreaker doing absolutely nothing.
This Templar fight is kicking a lot of Guardian ass. Whether it be because people left and now want to play VOG, or they haven't played for a while and don't have the gear, whatever.
GG Bungie. I hope Gary is just as challenging.
*Well...that was easy...

6 RespuestasEditado por Tremolo: 4/6/2017 6:29:28 PMTemplar is piss easy. Have the relic runner haul ass between the two teleport zones while the other 5 hide behind the pillars at the very front of the arena and dps from there. You will hardly have to kill any ads and the Templar should be dead in 1-2 minutes. Surprised so many groups are having trouble with this. All you need is a halfway decent relic runner and it's a done deal.

1 RespuestaThe Templar fight from start to finish should only take 2-3 minutes. 1 x relic holder, 1 x titan weapons bubble, 4 x Gjallarhorn or similar, 1 x sword user for adds. Templar should be downed in 3-4 attempted teleports. For example I did it last night with a group, that before we got to the checkpoint, didn't even know what the challenge was. We did it first time. Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.

5 RespuestasSuch a pain in the ass. I tried doing it with my friends. Nope. They just kept dying and dying and dying. For about an hour or 2 I left. Found an Lfg team. Got it done 3rd try. Got off
-
3 RespuestasA lot of people are saying had one person with relic cover both sides. I think it's easier to have him just cover the right side and have two titans on the left alternating popping their bubbles. When we switched to this method, we got it first try. On the right side, there's a spot where it's easy for the relic holder to avoid the Templar damaging him. Having two bubbles on the left nearly guarantees never dying or missing stopping his teleport.

I am so confused i have definitely spent way more time on Oryx before than i have with the new challenges they arent that hard
-
5 RespuestasI can't even get past Templar. This is definitely the most challenging raid.
-
5 Respuestasyou realise it's just as shit as it always was!
-
3 RespuestasTemplar is not challenging at all if you have a good communicating team. Even the challenge was pretty easy (for us anyways). But I know what you're saying. The cheese back in year 1 became standard and lots of people never knew the mechanics. Same with crota and the bridge. Never seen so many people struggle trying to stay on a plate and killing the sword bearer. All I hear is, " the game is glitched guys. I took his health down half way now it's at full again. Wtf!". Lol

3 RespuestasConsidering "Gary" is to D2 what the black garden was to D1, I'm not convinced he will be a raid boss yet. Could be one of his grandparents pissed that we killed their grandson in a story mission or something.
-
I'm enjoying the revamps. I never liked running the "cheeses". This is much more fun when people actually pay attention and communicate.
-
1 RespuestaDefinitely more fun, but a whole day of vog and no Templar challenge completed is kinda ridiculous
-
4 RespuestasAlready found ways around most of the "fixed" mechanics...
-
5 RespuestasI had something new happen to me today that hasnt happened in over 100 completions (between ps and xbox) a -blam!-ing supplicant followed me into a portal. Never seen that before.

9 RespuestasEditado por zack henning: 4/6/2017 8:22:52 PMTemplar is imbalanced. I was trying last night and couldn't get past it.
-
Templar was a breeze for us we had 5 titans so we got it done on our second try
-
I've actually never done Templar on that ledge.
-
4 RespuestasFound it much easier than Atheon even with our strat. Hell we had more wipes on gorgons maze or even gatekeeper than we did on Templar. Shit was easy.

The Atheon challenge is much more difficult. You can get by without strong communication at the Templar. If your team isn't in sync at Atheon, there is no chance.
-
2 RespuestasTemplar isn't that hard. I ran relic and solo'd one side while everyone else was on the other side doing DPS and add duty. Atheon wasn't hard once you get in the groove of things. We beat it in one teleport rotation. Just have to make sure you're fast, as if you are, you get 30 seconds of Guardians make their own fate. So if you can be quick, you can really lay the damage on him.
-
1 RespuestaMy team did the whole raid in 4 hours.
-
I got lucky, we knocked it out in our 4th or so run. Same with Atheon.
-
I remember my first time in VoG doing Templar. We ended up on the far left sniper platform, dipping in and out of a weapons bubble with snipers and non tracking rockets lol. I think the kill shot is the very first Xbox video I recorded. Good times.

Editado por IceSki117: 4/6/2017 9:51:40 AMFor my team the templar was relatively easy. Atheon on the other hand was a royal pain in the ass. Yesterday was not out day. Just as we start getting into a rhythm and figuring out our strategy the servers go down for 20 minutes. When we get back we realize that it's going to take two runs through the timegate to kill him and from there it just went downhill. Every single time somebody would die by either falling off a cliff, flying out of their detainment field, succumb to the damn C4 laden harpies, or miss an Oracle due to lag.

3 RespuestasTook me 11 hours to complete Templar Challenge. 11 -blam!-ING HOURS!!! *runs at the camera man\women and tackles him/her. In not assuming the camera man/women's gender*
-
ALL DAY!! Oh child, Im so sorry you had to endure that!
