but some people came to destiny for PvE, and that was what bungie intended it to be
they call it a "shared world shooter" me and a few others call it "loot shooter" and are searching for a way to find their metaphorical perfect Norfleet

I mean I would like a meld of both I love good pve but not at the sacrifice of pvp. Never.
-
but that's what they've been doing with destiny since day 1 i'd be happy if destiny did both well, Warframe is a spot on example of what destiny could've been and destiny 2 hopefully will be.
-
Judging by the AoT reveal, they can juggle both fine.
-
after about 100 or so nerfs from PvP yeah i bet they learned their mistake.
-
I don't like nerfs but I like the current ttk. It's not just if you blink (your eyes not the ability) you are already dead. Remember getting 2 tapped by last word? You couldn't even react lol
-
at the cost of a good PvE experience? it's hard to justify PvP when it brought nothing but nerfs and salt to PvE and little else.
-
I am sorry but as a PvP player, PvP brings players back and pve is harder to develop than PvP. You make a new map and a couple new guns and sometimes a new mode and you're all good. Pve is harder to make. I like pve but if they had to choose, I would wager bungo would drop pve before PvP because they are known for their PvP tbh

Editado por Zephyr1895: 3/23/2017 4:17:19 PM
as a PvP player, PvP brings players back
that's a very biased thing to say
and PvE is harder to develop
look at the borderlands series, not that hard
you make a new map and a couple of guns and sometimes a new mode and you're all good
it also needs heavy balance patches due to the amount of salt it generates, PvE doesn't need much balance patches post-launch and the DLCs aren't that hard to make either (give it a few quests, a decent story, some new loot, possibly a new area and you're set)
i like PvE but if they had to choose, i would wager bungo would drop pve before PvP because they're known for their PvP tbh
this game is meant to be PvE, their PvP is their past, go play potato: hard to reach if you want PvP or some other potato also
PvE
FTFY and the funny thing is, bungie probably got the "loot shooter" idea from borderlands 2 but then dropped PvE for PvP as soon as they realized they attracted their old fanbase + the CoD fanbase
-
Also u a dumb ass lol. Bungo made halo which is 90% PvP. Last "pve game" made by bungo was like 1998 lul
-
Editado por Zephyr1895: 3/23/2017 4:21:46 PMi never said it was PvE, i said
go play potato: hard to reach if you want PvP or some other potato
bolded it since it appears it's hard to read for you. :)
-
Stop -blam!-ing insulting me you pathetic human being. Bungie makes PvP games. If you want a goddamn pve game go bitch at 2k or whoever to hurry up on borderlands 3. Not destiny. Destiny is going to be a mix, and you have to accept that or gtfo
-
Editado por Zephyr1895: 3/23/2017 6:08:33 PMpreach, that wasn't what destiny was made for and it's not going to be.
-
Sounds like youre just salty destiny patches have been controlled by PvP, if it wasnt what destiny was meant to be then why was that the outcome?
-
because most 12 year olds from CoD like yourself and midgelrock jumped ship over to this game to ruin it, like CoD kids usually do.
-
So the popularity of the PvP element of destiny somehow was the fault of 12 years old that used to play cod? Your logic is -blam!-ed.
-
lol, says one himself.
-
Are you agreeing? Saying that pve and PvP are gonna always be a thing? I am sorry but I am having difficulty seeing what you are trying to say, no offense.
-
Editado por Zephyr1895: 3/24/2017 3:55:45 PMDestiny wasn't made for PvP, it was made with PvE in mind like every other MMO out there you don't see Guild Wars 2 or Neverwinter being played like CoD, Destiny is a first person shooter with so many MMO aspects, such as looting, PvE, and gear rating that it's more MMO than shooter if you want a CoD-like Destiny, might as well drop everything unique about and copy + paste every cookie cutter aspect PvP genre
-
Noone wants destiny to be like CoD, one of the reasons destiny PvP is so popular is because its so much different than alot of cookie cutter fps, comparing destiny to guild wars hahahah wow
-
Editado por Zephyr1895: 4/4/2017 1:02:02 PMbecause it's designed to be an MMO, not a cookie cutter FPS which is the direction it's taking. looks like you're not playing with a full deck of cards.
-
What makes you think its even taking that direction..? just because PvP is popular doesnt mean its going to somehow turn into cod... Your logic is seriously flawed. Destiny doesnt have enough content to keep people constantly Pveing anyway, another reason people play PvP. Raids get old after beating them constantly and after having all the gear, people tend to quit or tunr to PvP.. Destiny will only work best with PvE and PvP they just need to find a better way to incorporate them both.
-
because that's what the PvP is, a cookie cutter waste of time that nobody wants to take part in. if i'd play PvP it would either be Rainbow Six: Siege or Titanfall 2, maybe you should try those instead of ruining a great PvE game that's already on it's last legs.
-
constantyly contradicting yourself, saying PvP is too popular and its ruining the game now youre saying noone wants to play PvP, playing content they put in the game is ruining haha ok bud.. go play rainbow six then
-
Editado por Zephyr1895: 4/10/2017 2:51:02 PMcontradicting myself how? PvP is popular enough that it gets most of the attention from bungie yet not too popular as to make it the majority of the playerbase, and you have to factor in the number of PvP streamers versus PvE streamers providing free publicity here's my complete argument against PvP from the other guy with his head up his ass if you're so desired to read my wall of text.
oh i'm stupid? lol someone's been living under a rock ok, let me be brief and use small words to make it easy for you, bungie realizes people who stream (uploads their gameplay while they're playing) give free publicity (like newspapers and billboards) to their game. it gives them more players in the long run, so they're catering (giving them what they want) to them to keep playing their game. while it is a shitty business tactic, it's also a very profitable (they make a lot of money off of it) business tactic. the streamers usually stream ToO and IB because it gives them more views (more views give them more money) because its a more enjoyable thing to watch (because there's more action), while most streamers don't stream strikes or raids because it's not very enjoyable to watch (because you sit there and chisel down the boss until he drops something). so most streamers get catered to by recieving patches focused on ToO and IB (the two biggest piles of shit in the crucible shitpile) TL:DR streamers give free publicity, bungie likes this free publicity and caters to them. which they stream PvP because there's more action while PvE has more grindy aspects to it.
i forgot to mention in this paraghraph it also brings in more PvP gamers not PvE gamers, and PvP content is much easier to make due to most of it being recycled.

Ok, whats your point? Im over this conversation anyway because its ridiculous, my main point was PvP is here to stay get used to it, your above statement is more proof it will stay..
