Look at how many hours you've put in, if you've not had fun in that time worth what you've paid for the game, you feel like it's time wasted but logging in wanting to play means I spent time having fun, sometimes frustrating when developer choices affect the way I play sure. If your still logging in, then you must like something about Destiny.
As for the push push push to buy Destiny2?
By who?
Theirs no trailer, theirs no footage, no details, no preorder, only a rough date to when it should launch.
What pressure are you talking about? It's not from Bungie, so chill out

The details he is mentioning is the fact that none of our achievements in the form of loot, gear, and possibly linear progress in this story will carry forward As TrickyWitch420 put it:
"Destiny’s worlds are forever changing, making the game feel different every time you turn it one. Think of Destiny more like a platform than a game, because that’s actually a more accurate description. With this ever evolving world, players have an endless amount of opportunities waiting for them. Landscapes will shift and alter, dynamic events and missions will be created randomly and Bungie will continually add more and more to this living world throughout the next ten years, or maybe even more. What Bungie are trying to achieve here is rather monumental, creating not a singular experience on a disc but rather one that players could possibly play for the next decade, again like an MMO." http://egmr.net/2013/02/destiny-is-going-to-be-the-best-game-youve-ever-played-bungie-finally-reveals-destiny/
This is the issue he is pointing out. His play time? Meaningless, because he was holding out based on this original information. Did he clearly enjoy this game? Yes, that is what he is saying. But he is saying that after Destiny one he may not go any further.

Nothing carrying over is a foolish reason not to buy a new game, especially if you enjoy the current game. That's my point
-
The truth is we can't fully truth them to do a good job on the next game. And only way to let them know quality matter is to tell them on here and with our money.
-
Just don't bored any Hype trains, and make educated purchases. That's easy
-
It's not enough for a couple of people to do it. For a change that we all want it has to be a lot of people.

Exactly !! This is why I asked this question in the first place.. Also note: thru out this forum I have stated quite clearly and emphatically I am a Hard core gamer for Life.. Bungie/ xbox support for well over a decade ~ In my perspective, I had been waiting for this game close to a decade from the first Moment I heard about. The Hype Train Grab Me and I chose to wait for Destiny. ( meanwhile, people are begging me to go to WoW ) At the time we were promised a game that would surpass WoW ... even brought Blizzard / Activision aboard, which help fuel more Hype.. A game that I will only have to buy one disc and it's ever evolving like WoW... Last game I would /could ever invest in & It's a First of a Kind Game ... Had to jump on board ;) but, 2 1/2 yrs into game drop... a lot of us are feeling like 10 day lollipops ( ya know, Suckers) and for the most part we are... it's now like every other game in the fact, Buy this disk and trinquet... here's another golden carrot to build false hope... promise, promise but nvr quiet get there... And that's where I sit today ~ And please keep in Mind.. I am a Hardcore gamer from the 80's played Atari thru all the Nintendo, PS's, Xbox and PC generations... I am a 52 yr old Grandmother who has passed the love of gaming on for My Grandchildren ~ who are learning to write code ( at 7 ) from Grandma... Hope they make a Kick ass Game someday ;)

You don't need to enact change on the world, sheep will always be sheep, getting on a soap box always begs the question of sanity. Change what you can, except what you can't, and hope for the wisdom to know the difference. For the 2% of the gaming population that hops on a forum to educate yourself for making a purchase I solute you. For those that came to hop on a soap box I just shake my head

So im a crazy homeless guy saying crazy sh!t?
how the hell did you know? (Puts on tinfoil hat)
Spin foil hats are what's in today, as well as bubble wrap armour

It's all i wear.....NOTHING MORE!

I don't know if this will be a good comparison, but he it goes: It would be like if you liked your life and the things that you have earned/bought and enjoyed using. But now in order to carry on your life's story you have to leave all of you belongings and continue naked to your next story
-
When life changes you don't always get a choice. I didn't ask for my divorce, I had to give up almost everything, my home my belongings, my ties to other people changed over night I didn't just give up. Well I did wollow for awhile. No this is gaming, you really can't put it on a pedestal and at no point does Destiny give you the feeling that an extra 1000 hours makes your characters better. None of our old year one stuff was relevant for after the TakenKing launched, that's half of Destiny. Destiny2 is not a dlc, it's a new game and should be considered such when purchasing it. It's alright to feel sour about gear and weapons not carrying over. Next game you should always be wondering what's next.
-
Well put together argument, and I'm sorry for your divorce and ultimate life shift. I can definitely understand where you're coming from now!🙂
