It is unlike any game I've ever played. PvE story missions, PvP, 3 player Strikes, 6 person Raids, and PvE areas to just chill and earn loot. It's the best, most complete game ever in my almost 30 years of gaming.

Warframe allows 4 man teams for standard missions and 8 for raids. Story and gear are also being constantly built and added to the game with each major update. Hubs exist, but aren't of much use beyond trading in faction items found in missions for extra reputation. Defiance doesn't really have a squad limit to the number of people I've seen for missions and roaming and lets you pull in as many people as possible to try to beat a raid boss. Also has hubs that can be attacked at any time with the exception of a single island. Story goes down the tube, but I'll give credit that there's at least a lot of it, and was even adding more just before I switched consoles. Both have region chat for trade, help, and recruitment. And in all honestly, I can't think of any recent games aside from destiny that offer less than 4 member teams in coop game modes. Not trying to toss hate or start a fight, but I think the idea of destiny being "complete" is debatable.

I only made it through 2 Warframe missions before I was bored. As for Defiance, 5 mins of the tv show and I had no interest. Destiny grabbed millions, those other 2 barely made it out of the gates.

Who had their game out first? It seems strange to me that they sound so similar but Warframe definitely sounds more complete. Did someone siphon ideas off the other? It's just weird that one has a huge company behind it, Activision, and another is low key. Big companies have been known to steal ideas from lower competitors.

Defiance was the first or by a long shot. Relied on end reward rng, but offered synergies and freedom of gear, basic abilities, weapon attachments, and item leveling to allow customization of play style. Offers a large number of mid-large hubs (based on possible player count). Offers a basic region, clan, trade, and current party text chat. Warframe came out in 2013, and has a feeling of improving on the detail in customization and character/gear building of all the previously mentioned aspects (with the exception of weapon attachments which are replaced with a wide array of variable mods). Cut down overall scale of player interaction by putting players into mission groups instead of all players on a single server being able to see one another at any given time. Offers a small number of large hubs. Offers a basic region, clan, trade, and current party text chat. Destiny came out a little over a year after that and relies more heavily on rng for nearly all of its core game mechanics, progression, and customization. Reduced the size of players in teams for missions. Offered one small hub at release, with two small hubs added with purchase of dlc. Region chats completely removed from game.
