How many "guardians" are REALLY gonna Buy D2 ?
They promised a Game unlike any others... They Promised if We spent our time and $$ they would continue a platform that was applicable for 15 - 20 years ( ok Ten +... My Bad ) for growing & keeping all that we Accomplished ~
Am I the only one who see's they totally Lied Over all???
First, Bungie bragged up the game for years / decades ~ then don't deliver the mature version that was promoted, but instead ask activision to come and totally mess the whole thing up ~
They gave us DLC 's such as House of Wolves, then made it useless and obsolete ~
And NOW they tells us, All the time & $$$ some of us have put into this game supporting it & them ( game creators) No longer counts as well ~ All that we worked so hard for is Zilch, Notta, Zip ~ Nothing, but expect us to be happy that we have " stuff to do" till Sept. So we can start the process over ... Again!!??
I have been on this game, since day one, standing in a line with a back brace on just fresh from spinal surgery, to buy My limited Destiny Collection with the hard cover book, every DLC they dropped & was planning on D2 as it was added to this "foundation" we supposedly started with.
Buy, buy buy the New Destiny 2 is what they are pushing~ Sorry, Nope, Not gonna do it ~ I will no longer support Liars & Greedy people who just see MY $$$ signs... and have NO Loyalty to the people who made them ~ They just lost a Very Loyal Customer !!!

I will be buying D2, along with other games. I'm just hoping that there will be a D2 Alpha/Beta. However, that may not happen, you know, because this has been one huge beta.

2 RespuestasIs this the new forum meta? Complain we were lied to all day, every day. Either get over it or move on. Nothing you say will change the outcome of Destiny 2. You may in fact persuade an additional 5-10 people to not buy the game. Congrats on a job well done. Their marketing will get an additional several million to buy the game by day one. You cant beat them at this game so stop trying. Unless they say the new game will have less than half of Destiny 1's original content at triple the price, you will not dissuade people from buying it.

I was sold a concept of taking a character on a long journey through a game concept that would be updated over a 10 year period. They decided to throw my guardian in the bin when d2 comes out so I will go back to other games.

3 RespuestasI tell myself now that I probably will not buy Destiny 2. Why would I buy a game made by nothing but liars, who slowly turned the original game into the pathetic carcass that exists today? But at the same time, I know I've fallen victim to their deceit. I'm already trapped, I just haven't fully embraced that fact. In the end, I will probably end up falling for more lies and getting D2, despite my better judgment. While BNG may be among the most dishonest game developers I've ever encountered, I must give them credit. They sure know how to spin anything to make it tempting. And once you've allowed the temptation to take you, there is no going back. I applaud their ability to do that. #TitanMasterRace

You've spent 160 DAYS playing this game, you can't feel that hard done by. We all know the game never lived up to the hype or the promise, but it's still a good game. I got fed up with the constant currency changes etc, and stopped playing around Prison of Elders. Still bought TTK, and just started playing again a few weeks ago. If D2 can meet even half of our expectations, and can show great progress from Destiny, then it will be a good game. Time will tell. I still would have loved/would love to play what the original game was meant to be like before they cut it to pieces. I think if we got as much content as was meant to be in it in the first place, no one would feel as hard done by with the DLCs, which in my opinion, have all been over priced.

The next evolutionary phase in the platform requires shedding some dead weight. Same way a caterpillar has to give up some caterpillary parts unless he wants to be an ugly fat butterfly that cant lift himself to fly. I think everyone can agree that the first phase of Destiny isnt perfect so why do we want to continue to shovel more onto an outdated foundation? Leave your antiques behind and embrace the next phase of your journey.

I'm still going to buy it in the hopes Bungie finally understands how to not make dumb mistakes. Bad choice, I know. But it should at least be fun for a while, before they ditch all the hours I'm going to put into it.

Definitely got my money's worth on this game, 3 years later. Despite how frustrated it's made me over the years, 10/10 will Destiny again.

6 RespuestasIt is unlike any game I've ever played. PvE story missions, PvP, 3 player Strikes, 6 person Raids, and PvE areas to just chill and earn loot. It's the best, most complete game ever in my almost 30 years of gaming.

Someone below me made an excellent point: I bought Destiny. I had fun. Destiny 2 might be fun too, therefore I will probably buy Destiny 2.

If we look at PS4 trophy stats, we see that 11% of players have finished the first mission of the Rise of Iron DLC. That means 11% of players bought the DLC. That looks like a pretty dismal market, except for a few other factors to consider. For one, most players buy retail releases only and not DLC. (Pre-Destiny, I was in the group that never bought DLC). For two, the number of registered players increases over time as second hand copies are passed around, and those frugal players don't buy DLC, but they might buy Destiny 2. For three, many of the 80% of players who quit in the first few months of Destiny quit out of frustration, and these are the Guardians least likely to return for Destiny 2. (We can also use PS4 trophy stats to see who quit Destiny early in their progress.) So the best I can say without more information is that more than 11% and less than 100% and of Guardians will buy Destiny 2. The "less than 100%" is the key conclusion here. It means that unless Bungie brings in new players, Destiny 2 will under-perform the original just like many of last year's titles such as Titanfall2, Dishonored 2, Watchdogs 2, Rise of the Tomb Raider, etc.

All they have to do is have transmog or blueprint to make your favorite armor or weapons stronger and everyone would be happy lol

Meh, I'll be waiting a few weeks, hell maybe I'll be a "Kinderguardian" like the ones from back when TDB came out and wait till it's on sale during Christmas. I got hooked on the lies prior to release. Who couldn't? The beta was pretty awesome and "their speech" about how this is going to be a RPGFPS had me hooked so I preordered Vanilla, TDB and HoW. Smh. Bad idea. This is a fun game, that is not a lie, I've put in enough hours to have gotten the stupid amount of $ that I spent out of it. But is I t the game the advertised and had that big old marketing push? No, in my opinion it was not, it was a shell of what they advertised. Since then it feels like they're more concerned with a side of the game that they didn't even mention till after the release. I didn't even know there was gonna be PvP till it was there. I have no desire to preorder or even jump on the Bungie bandwagon ever again. I sure hope that there are a lot of people who do the same. I hope it'll show Bungie that we're not just gonna keep " throwing money at the screen" cause Bungie's name is on the title. I am never going to preorder a video game from any developer ever again thanks to Bungie.

The have teased us countless times with weapon ideas that never came to be dubious volley. And now our hard earned cash won't be applicable in d2 all the money on those freaking emotes sparrows cosmetic armor. To all be left behind? What the fack for? For what facking reason? What could these guys possibly pull off on D2 I'LL BUY THE SHIT BUT WILL BE VERY WEARY OF THE EXPANSION THEY LAUNCH AND HOW THEY TREAT THEIR GAMES WITH BUFFS OR NERFS. CURRENTLY PAYING RAINBOW 6 SEIGE AND FOR HONOR! BOTH PRETTY WELL BALANCED.

After all of the fun I've had on Destiny 1, I have no doubts that I will buy D2. If it's on PC, then no question I will play it there, if not then I'll buy it for Xbox One.
