Reasons to get excited for age of triumph?
I can't wait I have been waiting forever this update will bring so much nostalgia and so much content to destiny.
Edit 1: To all the people bellow complaining about "no content" I think you missed how there making new challenges for raids and new rewards. I'm to lazy to make a list of all the new content but if I feel the need to do so I will, also shut up this shit is free stop bitching.
Edit 2: I'm appreciating all the angry comments coming from casuals, it's quite funny actually.
Edit 3: I've seen some replies like "D2 will leave these emblems behind" I assume they won't thats why we have this book to show off our emblems in D2. Please use common sense.
Edit 4: I like the very "original" comments all saying "where's the none option?!?"

4 RespuestasHaving the Shield of Mythics has already been me showing who's been here a long time. Raids coming "back"? I can still play them, they haven't went anywhere. Elemental primaries? My vault is full of them. A record book with a ton of rewards? They're all emblems, I already have the best emblem. I'm not excited at all to be honest. Luckily for me, The Division is brand new to me and I picked it up today. I'll still play Destiny on occasion, but not daily anymore. I'll be back around for Destiny 2.

Outside of the new gear, - same old slightly tweaked content (still unaccessible to most players). - more of the laughable concept that is the "record book" which is NOT content (a journal to what is already there/do the same shit 100 times to get this emblem). Should NOT even be listed. - missed opportunity to showcase a sample of D2. Instead the usual Destiny trend of reusing assets. Appreciate or even get excited for this so called "event", but don't get mad when others don't feel the same way.

None. 1850+ hours of total play time on 3 original day one characters, and only about 40 of those hours, give or take a few minutes, were spent by me running Raids. Raids are one of the two most irrelevant activities in the game for me, the other being PvP, and if the majority of the "new" content revolves around Raids, well... guess i won't have to worry about grinding anything new.

Honestly excited because I get to play the shit I had the most fun on again and get my fave guns back. And elemental primaries 😁 S/o nostalgia. But I'm not buying D2 so it's my last little ride with destiny and it makes playing VOG and crota a little better. [spoiler] I can't support devs that don't ship out a completed product, re-use the same areas for "new" content, and aren't thorough with updates etc etc.. (had to get that off my chest) [/spoiler]

I realize lots of people have no issue with it or may plan to buy the shirt and that's your prerogative for sure. What I find comical and a bit morbid is offering a paid item as a "reward" which seems fundamentally and morally wrong. I felt this way about the previous shirt as well, and I've spent my fair share on Eververse and bungie's store so I'm not adverse to buying things. I just don't think it's a good, or fair reward for those individuals who can't or don't buy extra Bungie/destiny stuff but have paid for all content proper. I mean offer and sell the shirt Bungie, I totally get it. Don't however, count that as a reward. Even sell it to only those who earned the rank 7 reward but give an actual in game reward guys. Maybe I'm just being a sensitive nancy, I just think they could still offer the shirt to those who want or earn it (whatever) while providing an actual in game reward. TL;DR I may play or not. Bungie should sell the shirt but not as an earned reward. It seems wrong to earn the privilege to buy something when you've paid for all content. I buy stuff from Eververse & Bungie store so not adverse to buying.
