EDIT: - Those trailer's tho. And it's coming out on PC?! I'm sorry Bungivision. Take all my money.
Seriously - I get to investigate and look for the son of a -blam!- who destroyed mine and my fellow guardians gear? YO LETS -blam!-ING GO. Let's do this, I'm in. 100%.
Way to slip that into the narrative in a big way. As soon as I saw the big ass 2 sitting there. I was like "Yeah. No shit. You're gonna destroy my gear, my vault, everything..." Then the Cayde trailer just hit me like a ton of bricks, then the day after that with the reveal... colour me Mr. I look stupid over here with this nonsense.
So cool to see so many guardians click the "Ya I'm buying it. Perfect use of time/money." option. Good for you guys, sticking to your guns. Well, you'll have nothing to stick to upon release. (har har. ._.)
Salty Nerds Original Post -
Yeah. Definitely NOT buying another project from these disingenuous assembly of milkers.
Seriously, you guys can word it how ever the hell you want. It's tactless, all I read is "buy buy, consume, consume, buy buy. We write words, this is fluff, here's more fluff.." And half the comments hating on this thread, all I'm gonna read is "I'm blind, I can't think for myself, I am buying into this. Conglomerate stranglehold. I am actually quite addicted, here are the reasons why, etc.. etc.." Before you defend this incredibly narrow minded and baseless insult from me, I am sorry. To understand why, watch this video, starting 50 seconds in.

This is the exact reason why they're not letting you carry your gear (regardless of the possibility that it is entirely feasible and how easy it is to polish and transition already good looking and well polished assets into new mechanics)
My guardians, fight for your gear. It's easy, you simply tell them you will not purchase an incomplete project. Better yet, start talking about this sort of thing
Puffing[edit]
Puffing is the act of exaggerating a products worth through the use of meaningless unsubstantiated terms, based on opinion rather than fact.[17] Examples of this include many superlatives and statements such as “greatest of all time”, “best in town” and “out of this world” or a restaurant claiming it had "the world’s best tasting food".[18]
Typically puffing is not an illegal form of false advertising and can be looked at as a humorous way to grab and attract the attention of the consumer.[18] Puffing may be able to be used as a defense against charges of deceptive advertising when it is formatted as an opinion rather than a fact.[19]
However, it can also be used as a defense for misleading or deceptive advertising. For example, claims like ‘Top Quality’ can have regulatory and legal consequences and can be looked at as illegal misrepresentation, if not supported through the products capabilities.[20][21]

Bungie was founded in 1991 with two simple goals:
Develop kick ass games that combine state-of-the-art technology with uncompromising art, captivating storytelling, and deep gameplay.

I don't think they've met that what so ever. Puffing.
Where I'm getting at with this, is what is the harm of at least getting some people together, talking some lawyer business, and seeing where it goes? I mean we all enjoy the style and over all IDEA of destiny, but is it really worth all that money we spent on it? The over all experience we are paying for is this right here -

They crunch their times, force their workers and players to grind for hours until the last possible breath of said product... and, you'll see what I mean. Just check out these excerpts I wrote out here, I think some people might have something here.

That is mine. It defines me." "We don't want anyone to ever say WHERE'D YOU GET THAT?..." "Angry Joe gave it to me..."

"Over time we're gonna tell this story to the best of our ability, I can tell you that all of our sights are set right now that destiny the game. The one that you have access to in September 9, blows your mind. Makes sure that you start to expect more from Bungie games and the shooters that you purchase. It's going to have 5 different modes of activity, it's gonna have more explorable geometry and realestate than we've ever put in the hands of a player, more weapons, more alien races. It's a next generation game in every notion of the term we're spanning out in every direction."
"In the months to come, your quest to become more powerful will have more avenues that lead to satisfaction. The last thing we wanted was for you to look at your favorite gun or helmet and decide that it had become obsolete. Since the reveal, we’ve read a lot of ideas for how this could have been done better. Your feedback is clear: The time you have invested in your stuff should be respected."

We are going to recognize the dedication and passion you’ve shown for this world. Specifically, the class, race, gender, face, hair, and marking selections for all characters that have achieved Level 20 and completed the Black Garden story mission will carry forward. We also plan to award those veteran accounts with honors that reflect your Destiny 1 accomplishments. "
Big no thank you to that, I want my personalized gear and shaders. I want MY GUARDIAN. My play style, this is why I am so hesitant to play this game. To begin with! You guys haven't taken into the account of everyone's play styles by doing this.
"We want to give people new stuff to do every day, day in day out, but at the same time we want to make it compatable with real life. So if you don't want Monday-Friday as your job to play destiny if you get home from work or school, you can absolutely put a few days in, 30 minute sessions and have fun and still play with your friends. We're not putting up barriers between people you don't have to "catch up" and slog through, we want it to be an action game that's really fun, you can just jump right into it."

I spent countless hours trying to find raid groups that just wouldn't let me play because I didn't want to watch a stupid youtube video explaining how to do it. I'm a pretty smart dude, I figured out the other raids with people who had no clue what they were doing and beat it rather quickly. As soon as The Taken King came out, nobody would do it with anyone that wasn't a low light level, had no mic, had low KD on trials, (check my KD I should know.) all that shit. What ever you guys did, you really pulled the wool over every ones eyes. This isn't the game we bought. I refuse to buy the next one.
Yeah. We spent more time customizing our outfits, shaders, *PURCHASING EVERVERSE EMOTES TO MAKE OUR CHARACTERS SLIGHTLY MORE UNIQUE*

1 RespuestaListen hate on this game all you want. It's your opinion. You can hate it and I'll be honest, it's not a perfect game, far from it. But I have never had a game entertain me for 2 and 1/2 years and had some of the most fun I've had. If there is not gear transfer, who frickn cares. I agree that we need to keep are cosmetics, to show that we were there in the beginning, but gear is not necessary. I would rather start fresh and keep my memories than basically get another glorified DLC. It's another game, give it a chance.
-
1 RespuestaI'm preordering the most extravagant version possible. And guess what? I'm going to play the SHIT out of it.
-
1 RespuestaI will be pre-ordering it. I will buy an extra copy to make up for you not buying one. That way Bungie will not lose out.
-
I don't know theres so many cheaters paid by bungie streaming on twitch.

They admitted the -blam!- ups, yet did it again anyway...

1 Respuesta
But job number one, is to statisfy you to create a game with a distinct beginning, middle, and an end. Something that can stand on its own two feet."
Hell, we still don't have this... there are still taken everywhere, still vex, fallen, cabal & hive... we don't know the beginning of each race, we are more or less in the middle now, and while we have killed raid bosses, the enemies are still there. We have not seen a definitive end. In year 1 we got a half assed story on each planet. TTK fixed that a bit with making everything into a quest.

1 RespuestaI was sold on the 10 year thing... Maybe I'm just daft but I thought I'd be able to wear a VoG helm or something 10 years down the line and meet new players. " Where did you get that"? "VoG" "Year one"... If it's 'just' a normal game I don't feel so loyal to my characters... Probably play Mass Effect instead.

1 RespuestaTLDR - also see you the day D2 comes out.
-
I'm not buying it because Bungie didn't seem to have a plan with D1. They were all over the place with their updates and never addressed major problems with the game like the huge lag and disappearing items, but omg if players used the game physics to their advantage in inventive ways then the would release a hot fix within 24 hours.
-
4 RespuestasThis decision had been made months if not 1-2 years ago. That is why they never addressed the "leaks" that came out. They knew full well a large part of their customer base would stop playing for good or at least until D2 came out, so they continued to perpetrate the lie they had told the community on several occasions that everything would "carry over". All lying to their customers for pure Greed. This purposeful deception and Ethical violation is the issue more than anything else.
-
6 RespuestasIf i'm being honest. If I can play offline I can look pass stuff not transferring guys. Hear me out....I -blam!-ing hate lfg sooo much, and there are days where I just want to play solo offline.
-
6 RespuestasI am going to buy two copies so all of your effort is for nothing!
-
Bump, You need a Idk yet option tho. Im not 100% sure ill buy, bungie has dug themselves into a pretty big hole in the last 2 1/2 years. We need OMM and online optional If I'm all in bungie. Also Our supers better me revamped and not removed.
-
Editado por Sturm with no Drang: 3/6/2017 2:39:44 AMThe main reason I'm not gonna buy D2 is because of how they separate/isolate players from the game's content. Remember when if you didn't have Taken King dlc you could not access Strikes, Nightfalls or even a good portion of the Crucible? They did the same thing with RoI and I imagine they'll keep pushing for dlc purchases via the same means. The good news is that they won't be able to make D1 any worse since they'll probably not be touching it, bad news is that the damage has already been done to this game. Damage that has proven to be either completely unrepairable or repairable while the devs continue to ignore it.

1 RespuestaInteresting, but have you guys seen the new Black and Decker 2 in 1 smartech vacuum?
-
4 RespuestasWaste time much ? Get a life dude !!!
-
1 RespuestaEven just by bungie telling you they weren't transferring over gear they gave you what must of been hours and hour of purpose typing this post. Every one of you people writing these long winded essays on how bungie has wronged you don't realize they are providing you with hours of real life content.

2 RespuestasI'm just muting everyone that's complaining. Forums already cluttered with crybabies. It's gonna be a new game. Deal with it.
-
6 RespuestasShut up!!! Everyone here is buying Fin bitches!!!
-
I got my money's worth out of this game
-
See ya when D2 launches.
-
1 RespuestaPlayed 28 days on just one of your characters and you're still bitching about the game. You had fun and you know it. You also knew what was up. You heard the rumors. You know what other games do. Don't get all crazy about it now.

1 RespuestaThe real problem is... It shouldn't be "ok" for a corporation to be unethical. If they make a commitment to deliver something to their paying customers then they should, period. This is the problem that we have today that is rampant ...NO ETHICAL CAPITALISM... "Greed is God", "Doing the right thing" is dying. It has corrupted everything from simple products like this; to the politicians that make decisions that run the world. What bothers me most is that we as a people have just accepted it as the "norm" like you are seeing with people on these forums. It's just an "in your face FU" that we are all to happy to thank them for, because we either lack ETHICS ourselves or COURAGE to stand up to it. For this reason alone, no matter how great D1 has been or how great D2 has been, I will no longer be a Bungie or Activision customer, because the "grind" or "regrind" didn't bother me... it is a matter of Ethics. Sad Times
