Petition to revert special ammo economy

This is the sloppiest solution ever. The point was to make primaries relevant, not specials irrelevant #1 on trending? Does this tell you anything Bungie? To support, like and bump the topic --- Counter Arguments: "Special spawns so fast get over it": I don't think you understand how unnecessary an obstacle that is. Why nerf special if they make it abundant? It just makes the game annoying to constantly pick up special. "The game is better now": Just going to ignore you honestly you don't know what's healthy for the game because right now 95.6% of special kills in trials are sidearms and Icebreaker. I don't need to fight you, common sense will. "Wahh use a primary and adapt": Maybe you should've adapted last meta when you couldn't use a special

  • It's a pretty good idea. The only problem is that special ammo spawns too often. Twice a round would be better.

I think it's absolute trash, that in Trials, you will forever have sidearm ammo.. but you have a solid fusion rifle round, that when you go to pick up special ammo, it doesn't carry on to the next round. I think that's absolute horse manure. Way to nerf fusion rifle, master race.

  • Played a skirmish earlier. I know I know... "I'm never playing this crap..." It's pretty funny when the enemy team doesn't pull Special and you have some. They kept trying to shoot me with palindromes and got melted by saladins. Lol. But it's complete horse shit when it's you on the opposite side of that equation. If they really want to do this correctly, they should just drop special twice per match in 4 spots, or something. That way there's no excuse. If you pick it up and die, that's it. This applies to sidearms.

    • Omg, pvp is so broken right now. How does a sidearm perform better then a autorifle at mid range? Makes no sense. The only thing I've been doing is running sticky grenades and stick people and tee bag. It's such a joke. At least when we had a shotgun you could close the distance pretty quick by rushing people. Now you can melt with a sidearm or throw sticky grenades

      • Revert completely? No. It would restore the old problem. Change pressure tactic? Yes. I recommend: Sidearms: No change at all. We want players encouraged to use them, but only encouraged. Hi-impact Snipers and Shotguns: 4 shots to start. 2 per crate. You can still use the guns, but relying on them is difficult. Maximum capacity in PvP: 9 shots. Lo-impact Snipers and Shotguns, all Fusion Rifles: 5 shots to start, 3 per crate. Maximum capacity in PvP: 9 shots. Lord of Wolves: 30 shots to start, 15 per crate (maybe 20). Maximum capacity: 60 (maybe 70) All special chests respawn at previous rate: 3m to start, 2m after.

      • Basically if you have any of this : No land beyond Universal remote Icebreaker Tresspasor You are immune to special ammo nerf, and gives you huge advantage.

        • Special weapons are power weapons and should be treated as such. If you died with a shotgun in halo, guess what, you lost it. If they were to change anything about special ammo it should be 1 thing. When you open a crate it should load your gun instantly. And that is it.

          • Trials definitely needs to be changed back, or at least spawn with a clip at the start each round.

            • This is why I run replenish, I don't mind the special change I'm neutral on this sure I got shat on by shotguns and it would piss me off here and there but I wouldn't want special to be fully taken away either, so I've adapted to it, I've had this game for awhile and I'm not a Christmas noob although I'm a casual and have a kd lower than a 1.0

            • I absolutely agree with this. The only people out there who don't care about this are the ones who aren't smoked enough to understand the difference this has made. "I was constantly getting killed by shotgunners and now I'm not! Yay!" Have you considered that your deaths are mainly due to a lack of strategy and not the roll of your opponent's weapon. That strategy includes: how you move around the map, the weapons you choose, the perks chosen for that weapon, your subclass set up, armor, armor perks, etc... Yes, people are using primary weapons more, BUT at what cost? To have teams camping out with Scott rifles?! To ruin the fast paced gameplay the experienced players have come to love?! Making already difficult quests like the new Thorn painstakingly tissues and obnoxious?! Taking away players opportunities to become more proficient in their use of more difficult weapons like sniper rifles? I've been playing since year 1, and this had practically ruined Destiny's pvp for me. As a year 1 player I've been around long enough to see just about every weapon typed nerfed, and almost all fit the exact same reason... complainers! People who blame the game for their lack of skill. My solution? 1) Get rid of this nerf. 2) Start listening to the accomplished and dedicated pvp players, instead of calling every tear stained crybaby with enough time to type about their Destiny heartaches. The problem has almost never been the weapons. The problem has been that people have refused to adapt to challenges and blamed your hard work. Wake up Bungie!

              • It is a horrible system in trials and in 6s I just hate freaking running to a special crate upwards of 12 times a game. Just please give us the same amount of special in a way we don't go absolutely empty off spawn but trials....trials is soooooo boring, you wait 30 seconds to get ammo unless you or the other team decide to push (wasn't thee case at all for my two cards) then you have 1 minute to fight before round ends then rinse and repeat. Trials needs to absolutely go back please click the buttons you need to make this happen

                • People shouldn't have a 1 shot kill weapon at all times, it makes the other guns practically pointless and with how special ammo worked before, what with spawn times and every map having anywhere between 3-5 boxes littering the map, that goes doubly so. Now some will say "Well why didn't they just buff all primaries to compete with special weapons" and that's the point where everyone begins to get it wrong. Primaries are Primaries, they should be able to compete with other primaries. Something goes for Heavies and Special themselves. Primaries do need work, don't get me wrong, but just buffing everything to the point where they all kill at the same times would turn this into a twitch shooter like Call of Duty. On the note of special weapons they are just that, weapons that you are supposed to use in special situations and circumstances. You're not supposed to have ammo for it at all times and it is not meant to be your primary weapon either. The reason they are so powerful is you are supposed to choose how and when you use the weapon. Now we come to a problem regarding player's behavior towards this and yes some players are failing to adapt to this change. Instead of thinking "Well I should be using my primary to get most of my kills anyways" you have a bunch people that will do ANYTHING to hold on to special ammo. Instead of roaming the map and getting kills while waiting for the special ammo to spawn, people have just decided to wait at the boxes and slow down the game or they equip side arms. I honestly don't understand this personally because primaries already kill pretty quickly in PVP (Again some need some work done however to be in line with other weapons). Bungie did -blam!- up a bit with this update and implementing changes that negatively affect people surely, but there are some things that are caused and could be solved by the players. Sitting at special ammo crates is one of those problems.

                  • And before this they were shotgun kills dominant, before that was snipers. This has been a fairly decent weapons patch. I'm not that great a player and I still manage decently with shotty, sniper, and sidearms. Yes it's a pain to have to reload after every crate but now that special is removed on death you don't have snipers or shotty dominating the game. Most players are using primary weapons and those who need a special weapons are running solely sidearm, nlb, icebreaker or invective. Honestly the game feels better. Now it's a matter of who aims better rather than who's matador has the better roll, or who sees who first while playing peek a boo.

                    • I can bare it in normal crucible, it's a bit different & makes things a little new & interesting. However to my surprise upon playing my first trials match even if you don't die you lose special ammo...what! So only side arms & Icebreaker seem to be relevant in this game type?
