First off; On Wrath of the Machine raid: The first boss is named Vosik It has two separate encounters and one phase, second boss is named Siege Engine. It has one encounter and one phase , Last boss is named Aksis. It is divided into two separate encounters and two separate phases. Know the difference before you look like a complete fool for posting "vosik phase 2" and confuse people thinking it's the final boss on phase 2. Again, first boss has 2 encounters, only one phase, he does not evolve, the first part does not give loot. It is simply there as an introduction to open the door to the rest of the raid hence why you cannot call it "phase 1" or "phase 2". Moving on.
- If you make a recruitment post it is your responsibility and job to invite people, don't expect people to search your name or even guess your gamertag. Have the courtesy to invite them, after all it was you who made the post asking for players. This is an unspoken rule in any game, specially MMOs and any multiplayer game.
-If you ask for people to "must know what to do" please make sure you know what to do and have the same or better skills as the players that are joining you. This means that you can stay alive when needed.
If you invite a player please be courteous and respectful when it comes to their play style. If they join your group do not question their loadout. They know their character much better than you. You don't question everything they do or use to kill enemies. The only requirement to complete the raid is to be 370 for normal difficulty or 380 for hard difficulty. It does not say that you have to own a sword, have a sniper, hand cannon, or any other kind of weapon, it does not specify subclass. Respect what others like to use and if you would like them to change something do so in a respectful way that is not condescending or accusing them of slowing everyone else down. The raid can and will be completed if everyone works together.
You are a fireteam of 6, it is not a fireteam of 1. This means that everyone needs to work together. Nobody wants to hear how you can solo everything because even if that's the case then why bother joining a group when you're only there to boast. Stay humble, have some dignity for yourself and others.
If you join a raid team please ensure you have a microphone, communication is vital in every raid to ensure raid mechanics are cleared and everyone performs as a team. If you have your microphone on have the courtesy of muting it when you're going to eat, scream, use a vaporizer or do any actions that require you to be away from the microphone. It common gamer courtesy and says a lot about your character.
Keep the channel clear of unnecessary conversations so people can communicate raid mechanics effectively and in a clear manner. No one wants a blabbermouth in their team.
If you are joining a raid team be ready to raid. Everyone has their own busy schedule. No one wants to wait for you to finish eating, going shopping, etc. Have respect for your teammates and respect the time they are giving you to be there and finish the raid.
There is a lot more to add to this. I'm just going to end my input right here. You be the judge. You can also add to it. Keep it nice and respectful. Cheers Guardians!

2 RespuestasOn that note I would like to set up a raid for this evening. Fresh run at Siege engine phase 2. Can't be arsed to send invites so join on UnkleBadgerPoke73 (not sure how to spell it but it's something along those lines). I have a mic but usually give it to my pitbull when raiding so be prepared to shout if you want to be heard. I'm an absolute pro but have never done the raid before so will need people who have "got gud" to carry me. Might have to disappear about half way through. Not much I can do about that, the first Wednesday of each month is shower day. Cheers bitches! Tl;dr - Typical sarcastic comment.

It's not too bad to search hosts name since I'm assuming all us have smart phones when using the recruitment forums. Just use the Xbox App. I don't use PSN so idk about that

1 RespuestaEditado por Chef Boyardeen: 12/5/2016 4:06:55 PMGoing to disagree with you there. Vosik does have two phases, as when he spawns in once you get into the Monitor Room you can clearly see that Siva is performing some sort of "evolution" on him, causing to restore health, etc
-
3 RespuestasWhy would you get confused with "vosik phase 2" if the bosses have different names?? The problem is not the person that calls it phase 2. It's you for not being able to know the difference between "vosik" and " aksis." I never understand why people can't join a fireteam AFTER their friend request has been accepted. It's common sense. If I accept your friend request, then it's kind of obvious that there is still a spot left when I accepted it and you can join. If it's full, then you were just late.

6 RespuestasEditado por Ken_Malibu: 12/5/2016 10:13:33 PM"If they join your group do not question their loadout. They know their character much better than you." Tripe of the highest order is being spoken. If someone's tether or bubble is not set up correctly it will have a detrimental impact on DPS, affecting the entire team. Why exactly shouldn't I say something? Often people come from PvP in to a raid and forget to change their set up. Offering helpful set up advice is simply helping others to learn things they may have not been aware of while also looking out for the team. Don't get offended by advice.

4 RespuestasEditado por Nnoremac: 12/6/2016 4:44:24 PMIf you post vosik phase 2, why would that confuse people into thinking it's the final boss? That makes no sense . It clearly says it's vosik, the 2nd fight. Also vosik does evolve, his shield is stronger (cause it takes bombs hitting him at the same time to take it down) and he gains an aoe wipe which he doesn't have at the start Edit: I once raided with a kid in ttk that used a shotgun on war priest, yea I'm gonna question his loadout
-
2 RespuestasWho say's Vosik phase 1? Vosik phase 1 is just a fresh raid, there's no need to call it anything except that. You don't say, VOG, forming the spire you just say fresh Vog.

Technically, the chest at the top of the ramp is the loot for the first encounter. It's not at all hidden. You're gonna have a bad time if you really think you need to go the lengths of making a post about the words people use in this situation.

Editado por GamerCone: 12/7/2016 5:27:25 PMAn actual 101: For WoTM, the encounters are: 1. Fresh 2. Vosik CP 3. Siege Engine/Zamboni 4. Aksis P1 5. Aksis P2 There is no difference between the term "phase" and "encounter" from a utilitarian standpoint, they are interchangeable. Helpful Rule #1 Don't join fireteams requesting specific classes or loadouts if you do NOT meet those requirements. There are plenty of LFG posts. Join one that is a fit for you. Do you like it when you ask for "no mayo" on your hamburger and then you're served a burger covered in mayo?...No, the same courtesy applies here. If the poster is asking for a defender Titan with 395 light and you're a 389 hunter don't add your name and ruin the post. Respect the post requests. Helpful Rule #2 Be honest about your experience with the raid and listen to the advice of more experienced players. If I ask, "what's your load out?" I'm not doing so because I'm trying to humiliate you, or prove I'm better than you. I'm asking so I can adjust my loadout accordingly so that we can be successful as a group. The raid is a group activity, what you "like" to run isn't necessarily what is best for the group in this activity. Being a proficient raider means having multiple loadouts ready so you can balance your fireteam in order to be successful. Helpful Rule #3 If you've never completed the raid before, start on Normal Mode. Normal mode is a far better way to learn the mechanics of the raid. There's no shame in starting on normal, everyone did, and you'll actually get through more of the raid in a faster amount of time giving you more experience as a player. Helpful Rule #4 Have fun!

If I make a post and include message Gt: XYZ with light level and subclass it is the players responsibility to message me with that information for an invite. "If you invite a player please be courteous and respectful when it comes to their play style. If they join your group do not question their loadout. They know their character much better than you. You don't question everything they do or use to kill enemies." Actually if I'm inviting someone I am allowed to question their loadout, they are joining me not the other way around. The point of inviting said individual is to find someone who will be of help to the group I am forming. If said player lacks a loadout to be of help then they need to be replaced with someone who can be of help. Much like they may know their character I know what I'm looking for when building a team. In addition there is nothing wrong with asking people why they are using a particular loadout, sometimes you can learn something that you may not have known previously.

Editado por Atomic: 12/7/2016 4:34:45 AMI always say message for invite and say that my gamer tag is above also if people are using a horrible load out such as not using a high impact sniper I should be questioning it because the weapons are not beneficial it's not just killing enemies it's also getting the mechanics and bosses

Ah...the reason I love Destiny is LFG. When I have the time, I help the little kiddos who won't get accepted into a group through the raid. While people on LFG do expect so many things, they aren't necessary. I guess people don't have time anymore
actually, no one has time lol
Appreciate the positive comments. To those blinded by rage and negativity I wish you the best. If being toxic makes you happy then good for you, take that toxicity somewhere else. This game is tailored for younger generations. All I asked for is respect and to be nice, if you can't even do that then why bother replying? To get attention? You won't get it from me. This is a game. Play it. It is as simple as that. Talking down on people only serves to destroy such an amazing community. Destructive criticism is not needed or wanted, take it somewhere else. Cheers Guardians!

1 RespuestaThis raid is so easy none of this matters. I've completed hard mode with a 364 on the fireteam. Have also completed it with nice people, douche bags, a girl, kids, selfish assholes, team players, etc.... WoTM 101: Don't take it serious. Completing it is not much of an accomplishment.

7 RespuestasHere is how to truly raid 1. Start up your XB1/PS4. 2. Start-up Destiny and login to your account. 3. While in orbit use you preferred method of group searching. This includes using lfg sites, Bungie recruitment, etc. The time for this should no longer than 30 min. Note: If you are on XB1 use the LFG feature recently added. 4. After finding a getting a group together begin the raid. 5. Spend 45-1.5hours wiping at Vosik phase 2 until some people leave. 6.Repeat steps 3-5 until you can't anymore that day. 7. Repeat steps 1-6 until you make a post on the Bungie forums asking for help or to join a clan. People will generally offer help, but never actually do it.

So, after reading the rest of this post, I've determined that it is the most p*ssy shit ever. I do none of these things an have almost 250 raid completions. If you are playing like shit and refuse to change your loadout as I see fit, bye bye! If you lie about knowing what to do, see ya! As someone who sherpa's people a lot, I expect my team to follow my instruction. Any resistance to what I'm asking and you will be replaced. I don't have time to mess around. TL;DR: OP is clueless, and I'm surprised he has completed a raid at all by following these guidelines. Take it from someone with almost 250 completions, be selfish, make demanding posts, and don't settle for shitty players.

4 RespuestasI respect their loudout if it is viable. I don't care if you use Ex Machina or black spindle, Outbreak or Genesis Chain, but I won't respect it if the said person is using a fusion rifle for DPS on Vosik. True story.

Siege Engine is not a boss. It's an encounter. There is a difference.
