In Australia you can get killed by picking up sea shells.
[spoiler]A man once pick up a very venomous snail in Australia thinking the shell was empty. He was shot with a toxic barb and fell to the ground. 3 hours later he died.
The moral of the story: don't pick up sea shells. [/spoiler]

As a kid, every time we would vacation in Florida, cone snails always were a constant fear of mine. Then I found out that they are not in Florida, and everything was fine. Until I got nailed by a sting ray, on 2 different occasions.
