The broom. That was the only good thing about this festival.
Let us keep the broom so that we can at least have a minor happy moment when we think back on this festival.
I would expect we have some amazing badass wonderful FREE event sometime soon since we had so many people drop big dollars on the stupid rng boxes.

5 RespuestasI'm still waiting to see what free content we're supposed to get. They said that was the reason for everis

Editado por cobaltcrimson1: 11/9/2016 1:27:28 AMPeople need to stop calling this free content, it isn't free it's supposed to be paid for by the money they make off micro-sales but seem to be stealing instead. This company is so crooked it could be a wall street banker. Just look at how broken the game is right now, they're not spending a penny on it, it's dead and they're just keeping the corpse from rotting. What made me laugh was even their paid shills over at the IGN Fireteam chat called them out on how terrible this event was and that it was just a money grab. They're losing support even from people they bribe to kiss their asses. Last time someone turned on their boss this bad Hitler nearly got blown up.

Dumb as hell "event"

Editado por glimfeather78: 11/8/2016 6:27:24 PMBungie - You liked the broom? Wonderful! We'll put it behind a paywall next year! I can just see this happening

#Festivalofthecost.

I was done after the masquerade quest was over and the only reason I finished it was because I finally got the Thorn quest.
-
1 Respuestastill waiting for the free content that eververse is supposed to pay for.. if we spent millions of dollars over the last year and all we get is recycled bs with a pay wall for literally anything worth playing for.. is this yet another example of Bungie lying to us?
-
Wait, WHAT?! Festival of the Lost happened?! Gosh golly darn. (Excuse my strong language. I'm always upset when I overlook a micro-transaction event.)

6 RespuestasTo call it an event is ludicrous. It is like calling a fart an event.

5 RespuestasEditado por ARCANE2627: 11/8/2016 6:37:39 PMOk, here's what I don't get. Last years FotL we got a ton of masks we could get for free, a trio of quests with no rewards, one outstanding chase mask that only dropped from Treasures of the Lost purchased from Eververse which a few people got from their free TotL box but most people found they couldn't get one without spending at least $50 on TotL boxes. This year there were a few old masks for sale, a few old masks to earn from Eva's quest steps, a free TotL box from the final step in Eva's quest, a shader that's been in the game since launch earned from a hidden trick or treat mission, the broom sparrow which everyone loved & begged to keep after the event to no avail & three shaders available from three different sources but all earned in-game at no added expense. All the new masks including the chase mask were only available from TotL, the ghost shells were only available from TotL, the sparrow was only available from TotL & all the new consumables could only be obtained from, you guessed it, TotL. Bear in mind that Crimson Days introduced two ghost shells that "could" drop from playing Crimson Doubles matches at up to max light level at the time (although the drop rates were so bad they ended up giving one away to everyone who played a certain number of matches). Even so those shells were rewards for playing & dropped at high light levels while the two from FotL had to be paid for unless you were very lucky with the three you could earn per account & dropped at 3 light. I love Halloween/Samhain & I was really looking forward to this years Festival. I was hoping the Thriller dance would be available again this year because I didn't have an xbone this time last year & I planned to spend about £20 on boxes for the chase mask like I did last year plus emote money. Then I saw what they had done to the Festival. In the end I got one free box & 3 from Eververse with silver I'd been holding on to for over a month. Those 4 boxes dropped me 3 basic new masks & some consumables. Three basic new masks from 4 boxes, meaning one of those boxes contained nothing but consumables. No mask, no chase mask, no sparrow & no ghost shell. That's when it hit me. That's when I realised what FotL had become. It was an underhanded cash grab where everything people really wanted had to be paid for. A slap in the face to each & every single member of the community. In short, exactly the kind of thing you'd expect from an Activision game. It's sad that these money hungry practices we've come to expect from the most morally corrupt company in the gaming industry have been so readily adopted by what used to be one of the most respectable. Bungie, you have failed this community. Your live team created a fantastic fun event with some of the best rewards ever made available in the two years & two months since the game launched. Then you took all those rewards out of the blasted game & locked them away behind a paywall so big Donald Trump is taking notes! If this is what we can expect from Destiny 2, count me out. The money I almost wasted on this halfwitted excuse for an event is staying right where it is.

2 RespuestasThis is Bungie's way of testing how much they can shill the consumer before they've crossed that line. However in this case, they went completely overboard and paywalled the shit out of like 95% of the things that were remotely appealing. This is the kind of stuff that should not be tolerated. I can almost guarantee Bungie pulling this shit with future events. Only way to tell them it's not cool is with your wallet. Even the most loyal of Destiny fans like myself could see this was a cash grab.

Festival of the Co$T
-
Just like last year. A complete piece of dog shit.

2 RespuestasI typically don't agree with post like this but the original poster is 100% right about this years festival of the lost. After I finished the 2 quest (took less than 2 hours) there was no reason for me to even wear a mask, much less carry one during this event. Locking the vast majority of the content behind a pay wall ruined the event IMO. While I enjoyed SRL last year I am concerned about what will happen with the event this year. Will Bungie actually put some effort to make the event worthwhile with more tracks and things to do or will it be another Eververse centered event.
-
Didnt even take part in it due to the first step in the quest was pvp. I do not, will not di pvp.

1 RespuestaDid anyone really expect it to be some great experience? Micro transactions are only there for profit not to make amazing events. You learn to mistrust bungie when they say one thing and do another. Anyone remember "your time and gear should be respected"? You'll have a better life if you stop expecting great things.
-
Here's me biggest issue with the broom, not only do we not get to keep it with no reason behind, but Bungie went to all the trouble of programming it into the game. What was even the point of them programming it into the game, if they were just gonna make it unavailable? Lets look at another online game that actually does this right: Grand Theft Auto 5. In GTA5, cars become available for purchase, some stay and some don't. But regardless, you purchase them, you keep them, end of story. Bungie should have done that with the broom. If you found the thing, you could keep it.

2 RespuestasI really don't know what the hell you guys expected from festival of the lost

2 RespuestasI bet Cosmo is waxing his new Ferrari with number plate that says thanks again suckers.

i had a poat about it with 196 likes but it got pushed to third page

3 RespuestasThere was nothing good about this event. Idiots on the forums kept whining about keeping the stupid broom instead of posting on how last year u could earn masks without spending money or getting 3 free chances. U could get them from candy sacks and u had to grind to get glue to keep them. Aka a FREE way to do it instead of only having to play with silver if u werent lucky. -blam!- the broom. Also ya gotta blame the dumbass's who spent money on silver for these boxes. Thanks to them Bungie won't change it at all and keep it the same money grabbing shit of an event.
-
1 RespuestaMy big issue was with the crucible quest, why would I waste time playing at a low light level because I am wearing a mask and get crappy low light drops for nothing. Just stupid
-
It was nothing but a desperate money grab.
-
Why would anyone want to do questlines that require you to LOWER your light level? Which in turn gives you nothing in return or substantial enough to use anywhere else in the game in order to be competitive. Sorry but I'm not wasting my time in the forge or crucible at a lower light. That's the wrong direction in my opinion. Giant waste of time, the masks should be skins over your existing gear. Never understood why people waste their time on that.
-
The only things that were free were the shaders and some year one masks.
-
I gotta agree, i didnt even do any of the quests FOTL was boring as hell and yet u need a 100$ just to get the 1 thing u want but they cant even give us a REAL special event with all the microtransactions in action?? With the lack of excitement and content we have had for the past 2-3 years.... I dont really think destiny 2 will be much hype(sleeper simulant) bungie get us all hyped up and then turns out all it is, is a piece of shit in a blu-ray case.
