Me and a friend did a co-op run for my first Halo experience, but I made us go balls deep in the difficulty. For a first time anyway. (Them skulls be scurry... EXCEPT the grunt B-day.) But as for playing a Halo game, and to compare it to Destiny... I can see why some people say the things they say about Destiny, the negative things. To a degree. They're the reasonable arguments, and then they're are sh-t talkers.
Any who after playing Reach, Bungie... There were so many great things done in that game, and yet while I like playing Destiny, albeit on legacy, Destiny kinda feels lack luster. Gun diversity is nice yes, but we saw where that got us. It's welcome, but needs to be more... organized? Need a little more comedic effect with our space fairing enemies! Those grunts were HI-larious to fight! And taking the wort wort wort to those damn Elite field marshals.. SHEESH. The ships too! What would've been so hard implementing, and or programming some ship mission, or free flying? Some different controls for different ships? Enemy interception missions? All out dog fights, Ketch raiding! All I'm saying is... Destiny two better be a damn good game! Cause you guys at Bungie are DAMN WELL CAPABLE OF IT! I mean that with full enthusiasm. Make the next one truly legendary!
How else do you expect to take over the world?

1 RespuestaFighting comedic enemies is lame.

7 RespuestasEditado por BenjyX55: 11/2/2016 10:34:47 PMNow play 1-3. You must play on legendary, if only for Johnson dialogues. After that, play ODST, and be sure to get all the audio logs. 4 and 5 were OK, not as good as 1-3 and the two spin-offs, though. This could be due to different devs, but I blame a lack of Johnson.

1 RespuestaYou should try "Halo: ODST". I loved that game!

Now play 1-3.

2 RespuestasEditado por tuckers baby: 11/2/2016 3:46:12 PMWhich Halo did you play? Edit: Sounds like you played Reach. Not my choice for a starter Halo but better than the most recent two. Do yourself a favor and pick up the Master Chief Collection. Play through the campaigns as that's what you should primarily buy a Halo for. Play them in order; Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and then Halo 4 (as you've already played Reach).

1 RespuestaDon't let people brainwash you into hating halo 4 and 5. Imo they weren't that bad.

6 RespuestasAs much as I rag on destiny comparing the 2 isn't really accurate. Halo reach was supposedly what Bungie has always wanted to do with halo. Which is kind of funny considering how different reach is compared to the original 3 titles. I gave Reach too much shit when it was around. I appreciate it more now for sure. But the MP is still no where near as good as 5's in my opinion. I rank the halo titles as: halo CE>halo 5>halo 3>haloreach=halo 4> halo 2. CE will always be the best. 5 is the best MP we've had in a long time. 4's was too different like reache's. basically halo reach, 4, and 5 were all trying to modernize halo. And regardless of wether or not you like that I feel halo 5 did the best when it comes to that specific goal. 3's MP for me is held back by the random spread on the BR and equipment. I honestly only enjoy the campaign from halo 2. but even then it's campaign doesn't top the charts for me. If halo 2's MP was actually halo 2 anniversary i'd probably like it more. 4 still has the best campaign story wise in my book. Halo 3 has the weakest story telling but probably the best level designs for campaign. And halo reach's story is ranked so low for me because it didn't live up to the book. However setting that aside and actually playing the campaign for what it is it's pretty good. 5's story/campaign isn't terrible. but it's not amazing either.

12 RespuestasEditado por A Jackal Sniper: 11/1/2016 5:54:37 PMThere are 4 kinds of halo fans: Those who want nothing but halo 3.5 Those who want nothing but halo reach 2 Those who like 343 Those who left the series with bungie This thread is pretty evident of this. You can't satisfy one group without pissing off another, hence why the fanbase is split.

5 RespuestasWhy does everyone have to compare games to destiny
-
1 RespuestaPretty much. Destiny excels at the smaller aspects of its design, but the larger setpieces and mission design generally fall flat, Raids and occasional Strike excepted. It's probably a result of the game being virtually rewritten a year before launch. Hopefully number 2 will make up for that.

Congrats!

2 RespuestasIn my opinion, Halo 3 was the best one. Halo Reach was a close second

1 Respuesta1. Halo and Destiny are not only different games...they are different KINDS of games. Halo is a pure FPS. Destiny is a FPS blended with a loot-based RPG and an MMO. 2. Bungie had been making pure shooter games for nearly a decade by the time Halo: Reach came out. They had had years to refine the "formula" for Halo, and knew exactly what to do to make that game the game they wanted....and the game people wanted to play. 3. With Destiny, Bungie took a huge risk, and stepped away from what they knew...stepped away from the chance to keep cranking out comfortable Halo sequels....and decided to make a game very different from what they normally did. They set out to create a game with increased PVE replayability for shooter fans. They ended up creating a game that was as much an RPG and an MMO as it was a shooter. As a result they created a game that had as much or more in common with Borderlands than it did with Halo...and as a result they attracted a large contingent of MMO and A-RPG gamers (like me) to the game. Only to find themselves with a game of a type that they had NO experience managing. With a set of tools that were totally unsuited. to producing content at the pace that MMO and A-RPG gamers expect from a game. In short.....Destiny is on-the-job-training for Bungie...and very few of the things that worked for Halo translate well to this game. Wisely Bungie has turned to their sister company, Blizzard, for guidance on how to proceed with this game that they didn't expect to make. Plus they are almost certainly re-writing the game's engine for Destiny 2. But all in all, with each new DLC/expansion, this game is becoming more and more the kind of hybrid A-RPG that it had the potential to be.

8 RespuestasReach IMO was the death knell of Halo. It tried to emulate COD with customization and power abilities and failed. Bungie now is not the Bungie of old. I played Combat Evolved and used to LAN party before the invention of XBox LIve. Combat Evolved was a stunner in its day....nothing could touch it. Riveting story: Yea, alot of similarities with many other books and movies but still a great story. Music was incredible. 4 Player co-op. Good weapon balance and the Warthog.......... Halo 3 was the last great Halo....ODST was a good addition to 3 and had firefight, which my kids and I payed for hours.

I need a Halo 2.5
