Ok, so I'm mostly on board with eververse and why it's there. Only cosmetic, need it to keep the lights on and do fun things like srl and the current event, yes. I agree.
However, for players to be willing to make these purchases, rng imho should be more heavily weighted towards items you don't have, or better yet, gone. In game drops is one thing, but watching someone drop $50 (just $10 shy of the cost of Destiny: the collection) and get hosed by drops makes me not want to buy silver at all.
In short, if Bungie is going to offer these things, they need to respect my money.
I might be wrong here, but I think better or guaranteed payoff from treasures of the lost would get more players like myself who are on the fence to drop a bit of coin here and there. It might even be overall more profitable if it takes less money to get everything if that means more players are buying. But what do I know?

All i wanted was the ghost ghost, spent $10.00 (yeah i know $9.99....whatever) and got it on third treasure box. But the real jem of the boxes came on the final opening. Got a sweet eris mask so now my destiny experience is complete as I can now sport the face of the best NPC known to man! Thank you RNJeezus for making my life so much better :P

6 RespuestasAh, rough day for the streamer :/ condolences. Guess I got "lucky". Spent $40, got everything out of the packages except the ornaments. Honestly though, I have mixed feelings. Clearly just a new way to earn cash for Bungie (most likely driven by activision), but they are very up front about RNG. The self control factor from the players is the deciding factor in whether or not this continues to be value add enough for the dev team to include in events / updates. Since cosmetics don't equate to advantage it's at worst a nice donation to the developers that work countless hours trying to improve the player experience. At best you get lucky and receive the items you really like the look of for your generous contribution. Only caveat is the natural thought process that more investment means better chance to get the rewards you want - albeit unsupported by any data. Tends to create a frustrated player base even when they should fully understand the implications of their actions. Still makes you feel bad for the players with a total lack of luck - but that will be inevitable. My advice - just understand that your money is really a donation and try not to have high expectations for the return on investment. Take the amount of hours you play this game and compare it to the money you saved by not going out every night. An average low key night out is probably $20-$40 (for just a few hours of entertainment). Many people have substantially more than a "few full days" played in destiny - myself included. So don't feel too bad for spending some extra cash to let the dev team you really enjoy the game they labor(ed) over and come to terms with the fact that we've got much more in return than we like to admit from an entertainment perspective. Too much negativity in this player base. Just take a minute to think about all the fun this game brought you and new friends you made, and stop constantly complaining. FYI I won't be responding to comments or anything, this may be my 5th forum post since beta haha. Open discussion if you'd like - I just ask you try to be logical and educated in your conversations instead of the same old complaints. My motto - Don't be the person who complains about problems. Be the person who identifies issues and proposes solutions (multiple) after careful analysis.

14 RespuestasI wish they would just sell shit individually instead of this RNG shit, especially when it involves money

3 Respuestasdamn i spent $20 got the sparrow. i wanted the ghost ghost but trump it
i put trump instead of the word that rhymes with duck
BUNGIE is sitting back, popping some bottles having a great time watching this.

5 Respuestasxenragedcinema spent $80 just for the wolf mask stupid amount just for a novelty item you cant even infuse

Editado por TURI3O: 10/27/2016 1:42:30 PMI dropped $40 last night and got everything but the Sparrow. Really wanted that sparrow too but I just can't justify spending more when its not a guarantee. Also the Firewolf mask dropped from my first free package and never again during the paid treasures. 2 characters left to get the free package and if the sparrow doesn't drop then I guess it wasn't meant to be.

5 RespuestasIt must be legal otherwise they wouldn't do it, how, I don't know
-
I got the firewolf mask from the quest completion, sad I won't get the ghost shells but oh well. Don't think I'll be doing the quest on my other toons

You shouldn't have to gamble with real money to get items in a game. If people want to gamble, they will go to a bookies or online betting shops and gamble with real money for a chance to win real money. RNG on treasure chests needs to go.
-
1 RespuestaOh, you can bet there will be a weekly update soon enough stating how they've learned from their mistakes concerning this huge issue, then promptly repeat them.....
-
Ouch.!!!!
-
1 RespuestaThe only way I'll buy stuff from evervese is if I get to pick what i want to buy. RNG should NOT come into play when I'm buying Cosmetic's. Until then I'm not buying shit.
-
Boggles my mind that this is RNG.
-
Real money for a CHANCE at an in game item... it's basically online gambling and the house ALWAYS WINS, since the items have only as much value as you spent on them.
-
OK we all know that's not enough of sample size so.. I got a third job Took out a second mortgage Cashed in my retirement Sold all my Netflix stock Sold any extra and/or non essential organs Burnt down my house and killed my family for the insurance money Purchased 500k boxes to get the actual percentages and...
100℅ of people who spent money on this are suckers
-
Holy shit he spent 50 bucks for literally nothing but a ghost he didn't want a 4 ornaments he won't ever use. He didn't get anything that was remotely decent. That's rough
-
Wish I could go to the Bungie Christmas party. Sounds like it should be one hell of a sweet open bar with all the money they're going to make off of FotL.
-
2 Respuestasso we should be getting a whole lot of free dlc from all this money thy made from this event?yeh right lol

Editado por RavenousLD3341: 10/27/2016 1:04:09 PM*shakes head* Seriously.... $50.... He should have bought battlefield 1. This mircotransaction, real money, RNG is shit. This is why I don't participate in the whole ever verse mess. I don't even buy silver, and this video is offensive.
-
Not going to lie, I got lucky. I purchased 20 bucks worth of silver, on my second package I got firewolf, on the 4th, I got ghost ghost, I also got the deviled ghost on another package and one of the ornaments, which I don't care about since I could give two shits about bad juju. Got what I wanted and still have plenty left over.
-
Not really sure what you want to be done. Out of the first 11 treasures he opened he got 11 different masks.
-
It's shocking to see, but the sad reality of Bungie's crappy rng. I hope this puts people off buying silver, it's worked for me 😖

1 RespuestaI'm perfectly fine with microtransactions as a concept so long as I can look at what's on offer and say 'I want that one. Here's my money.' This 'spin the wheel' bullshit needs to stop.

1 RespuestaDestiny has a gambling problem. Major websites have written about it.
