Who Remembers Earning Their Gally in Year 1?
Takes no effort at all. These year 2 and 3 scrubs love the easy route.

I waited 6months for my first Ghally... Got it from Croat at 4am... was dancing round the room like a fücking idiot... great feeling though 👍🏼

3 RespuestasSeeing as though i got mine when a legendary engram turned exotic in Y1 - and all these "year 3 scrubs" completed a quest to get it - I'd say THEY earned it more than me! GTFO

1 RespuestaEarning and getting lucky on a drop are two separate things. Year 3, you have to earn it by doing a quest. Year 1, you got lucky on a drop, or you stashed up enough Strange Coins and prayed Xur sold it (which he did... twice).

I got lucky. It was my first exotic (I started during HoW).

I played since day one and didnt get it until HoW. Got it from 6 win package before they changed trials reward system.

I saw Xur sell it week two. I went almost the entirety of year 1 without getting it as a reward no matter what I did, so I basically had to do the whole of year 1 the hard way (or rather, the interesting way, depending on how you look at it). Bought it when Xur sold it a second time. Year 2/3 players will never know the of feeling watching that little yellow box spin and praying it turned into a Gjallarhorn. Let them have the freebie lite version, what harm does it do now?

It was never earned, it was pure RNG if you got it. The only things that were earned imo were the exotic weapons you had to bust your ass for doing the exotic bounty quest even though getting the bounties was pure RNG as well, it was the time and effort that made you feel like you earned the weapon at the end. Ghorn in year one was nothing earned, it was pure luck if you even got it.

I tripped over an engram while farming the loot cave and it turned into the gjallarhorn. It took me way more effort to get it through the quest.

Loved buying my gally from xur. Laughed at those saying they "earned it". These iron pups are more metal than most people ive played with who "earned" gally.
