THREE OF COINS EXOTIC DROP RATE BUFF
After research with a couple of friends and many story missions, strikes and crucible matches in pretty much all playlists, 2 or 3 solid hours of effective grinding pass and no exotic drops. The drop rate has become too low I think, and also many youtubers have also realized. Sometimes exotics drop in half an hour but that is exremely rare to the point where its not worth mentioning, the mean average of the drop rate (based on our research) is 1 exotic for every 11 strike bosses or 1 exotic for every 14 mission bosses or 1 exotic for every 13 crucible matches. This is just out of raw data and is just an estimation... but after what i saw and what i hear and see on the internet, [b][u]three of coins need to be buffed. (Not too much) but buffed enough so that they are usable and worth buying from xur instead of waiting for him to sell something good.[/u][/b] What do you guys think?

2 RespuestasI don't agree. Im a casual player and I got only two exotics in year 1 & 2. Got 9 exotics last week, 5 from engrams and 4 by farming strikes with coins. Pray to RNJesus

Just played ib for almost 3 hours and used a three of coins every game, Grand total of no exotics

3 RespuestasFrom what iv been told three of coins have a 15 minute cool down between effective uses. It doesn't show anywhere but essentially it's pointless to use three of coins more than once per 15 mins.

1 RespuestaPretty certain they were nerfed a second time. I've noticed a significant decline in exotic engrams. As for the fanboys and cry babies, why do I want so many? Shards. With that stupid level up scheme in ttk I used them all and xur stopped selling shards. Leveling exotics is significantly easier now but it still costs shards. So sick of buying exotics, leveling them, and breaking them down for 1 extra shard. Stop the nerf on 3oC or bring back a way to buy shards (and wormspore )

No, they don't. I usually get 3-5 exotics if I play for 4-5 hours. Rng won't always be in your favor, deal with it. The drop rate is fine how it is, running strikes with 3 people, we usually get one of us to get an exotic drop every other strike.

When are gamers going to learn. Everytime Bungie hads out a hand me out update or ADD stupid things like 3OC to justify their BS RNG. They will nerf it just before any new DLC is released. They want you to grind and they will not buff it.

I'm getting about 1 every 30 now. I have better luck getting them to drop from crucible matches. In fact since RoI, that's the only time I've had one drop. Nothing from strikes drops especially skeleton keys

I average one exotic for every 10-12 3oC. They seem to work like they're supposed to for me, but I've quit buying them as I usually just end up with repeat items. Seems like a waste to keep buying them, unless you want 13 hawkmoons, or young ahamkara's spine. I think the Zhalo was the only decent drop I ever got from them. Even the Twilight Garrison with an intellect roll I got from a chest in a raid. I usually just take my chances with chests. 3oC just isn't in the budget anymore lol!

if you're having trouble with drop rates naturally and really want dem engrums just farm 2 of the 3 ultras in the final campaign mission... i get a drop at least every 5 mins, there are posts describing this process out there as well.

Also the drop rate on repeat exotics is still an issue. I thought this issue was addressed but I think that was a lie.

at this point i get more exotic drops from legendary engrams than from 3oC...three of coins should just go away and the chance of a exotic engram drop should be implemented to all ultra kills...

3 RespuestasFarm for your exotics with three of coins on the iron tomb mission. Went through 70 three of coins and got 9 exotics from it. So I think they are working pretty effectively. :)

the drop rates are fine. 3oC is a chance to get one and not your free exotic bouquet or all you can exotic buffet. Its so bad now people use them just as fodder. Maybe bungie should rename exotics to fodder instead. Exotics used to be a source of lung shattering joy but now they are nothing more than food

4 RespuestasAgreed, I mean that Nerf back in HoW was unnessisary, why Nerf an item that is suppose to be for farming exotics. Why cuz too many ppl were grinding and wiping on Reksis. I expect 3oC to pay out in 3 uses, not 8-10uses

I had 214 3 of coins and only got 5 exotics. 😊

Followed the usual advice like waiting at least 15 mins between each use etc. For me at this point it feels like a waste of time. Usually just spend my coins on heavies to rank up factions instead.

Xur sells weapons for 23 strange coins usually. A weapon you need or don't have already. Exotic armor pieces that Xur sells are at 13 strange coins, again, you know what you're buying from him. 2 of those 3 exotic engrams where armor pieces (chets that gave another Starfire protocol and still haven't opened the glove's one). The other exotic engram I got was a primary one, which gave me a weapon I already had (since I'm only missing the Tresspasser from an exotic engram). TL;DR: You are better off just waiting for Xur to bring whatever you are waiting to get, even if it takes you several weeks, because 3oC it's A WASTE of strange coins actually. [spoiler]Exotics I'm missing from (exclusively) engrams: Tresspasser, FR0ST-EE5, Astrocyte Verse, Mask of the Third Man, Skull of the Funest Ahamkara, Shinobu's Vow, Ophidian Aspect[/spoiler]

The drop rates have been abismal for me. I don't understand why people don't want the drops to be more frequent, this is a loot based game after all, more loot is great. I want it to rain freaking exotics.

I haven't had any issues. It's random. I say Three of Coins is fine. 14/30 dropped and exotic for me. Again, it's random. They are good how they are.

I average around 1 exotic in 11 uses, that's with bosses, and crucible matches. I used to think they needed buffed also. However I bought around 80 last Friday because Xur didn't have anything. I think for the price of the coins it's a fair chance at an exotic. I've gotten exotics back to back and other times ive used them for hours with nothing. I recently started popping them at the beginning of a crucible match or right before a strike boss and I seem to get more engrams that way than before.

Nope. 3oC are really cheap, so I think they're dropping exotics at appropriate rates. I didn't want to buy anything last week so I dropped enough Strange Coins to get 75 3oC. That should hold me for at least a few weeks.
