The Thorn (Year 3) Is Well.... Trash In Crucible as Expected
After obtaining the new and "improved" Thorn bounty, I took the grind and finally achieved myself the new Thorn.
And just as many of you might expect, it is still trash in crucible. Since the update on the last Thorn, it is the same gun, just at a higher light level. Nothing new about it other than the quest for it.
Also, it tends to glitch and not want to burn despite being fully upgraded.
Overall, the Thorn is NOT worth your time unless you want it for the Exotic Shard. Period.
Anyone else dumb enough to think the Thorn Year 3 is even worth the time and effort? Because if PVE is why they brought it back then like I said it'll be for the Exotic Shard.

It's not trash , just means you don't know how to use it.I still dominate with my y1 and thats still missing out on iron banner. But hey that's your opinion

Speak for yourself. I used it in crucible and it performs great. Not sure what you expected from it, it's just a handcannon with a DOT

It's still better than it was when it first came out. If the gun is difficult to use, then succeed with it and claim glory.

3 RespuestasOh well. The Thorn had its time in the light and it was the longest amount of time by a large amount. It ruled the Crucible for 6 months. It can rot for all the majority care.

It's worth the time and effort to complete the Exotic quest portion of the Record Book. Frankly, I don't think any gun with more than 2 ticks of DoT should be permitted in Crucible. I was a Thorn bandwagoner in Y1, and I don't not want to see that gun make any kind of comeback. It's PvP AIDS.

I don't use handcannons in PVE because they have inferior range to most other primaries, and little ammo. If I feel like using the Thorn in Crucible, I can just take it out of my vault. To be honest, I have no desire to use a heavily nerfed version of a weapon that I used to death in year one.

They should buff the dot in pve by 20 percent and in PVP to 3 per body shot

Increase the dot damage in pve by 200%, then it might, just might be usable over heavy exotics

In pve dot doesn t work , why people have to use an exotic with a useless perk?

It would be cool to have it at the Vanilla State with 6 in the mag and a lot of damage. Or just Buff its Range. And the damage over Time Is completly useless
