I cannot be the only one bothered by this, right?
For those who did not notice, just before you encounter Aksis within the Raid, a set of lights on a grid appear around the hole you jump down. These lights seem to interact with players leading me to believe it is some kind of puzzle.
Another thing; at the bottom of the hole where Aksis awaits, a small grid can be seen exactly where you land. Is it connected?

4 Respuestashey, remember when everyone was going crazy trying to find a second exotic chest in VoG? or even better, remember when everyone was was going nuts trying to figure out how to get sleeper simulant? yeah....this is more of that.Bungie isn't thoughtful enough to do interesting things like that unfortunately. it's either timegated or a hardmode mechanic, or just some weird stuff in the raid that's meaningless lol
-
I thought the same thing, but, it's Bungie. Honestly, I just think it's a cool room before the drab boss arena.
-
8 RespuestasHas anyone tried the different color lenses you buy from Tess in the raid yet? I don't have any, I'm hunching pretty hard on that one( just made that word up)
-
I honestly have no idea I would think that it's not just there just to be there but then again there was the court in Kings Fall

4 RespuestasEditado por Vincypants: 9/26/2016 5:20:01 AMI had the same theory for this but the post didn't take to the trend. https://imgur.com/d1NrG9N This is the panel you fall onto after you drop through the center. Notice it has two blocked out squares and six open squares. I want to stand in that formation in the light room. Edit. Also if you notice the little circles are in particular places. On the dance floor there are 5 small squares on each side. Could be you stand in the square matching the circle as well.

Editado por slavko: 9/27/2016 4:00:13 AMIf you light them up in the right order the 5 TV comes down for you to turn on 😊 didn't you know that

4 RespuestasDoes anyone remember if once you jump down to the boss from the light room starts the encounter? Cant remember if just walking close to the boss starts it or you have to shoot first.
-
1 RespuestaI hope if you do it in a certain order it turns into a disco room
-
4 RespuestasIf all 6 members run in one direction, you can light up all 8 if you have timing perfect, haven't been able to debug this yet I'm at work, has anyone been able to light up all 8?

2 RespuestasThere is video that u can see litle bit of monitor statik inside the black cube.https://youtu.be/J9xYOKlMLv0

3 RespuestasHave one person drop down and turn around, on the wall in the background there is 3 square ish outlines with one pattern in each corner (total of 12 patterns). They are set up exactly as the lights up above. The guy who jumped down probably just has to relay the pattern from a top left->right to bottom left->right manner (not to sure on this part) one box at a time. This is with out a doubt how to activate or do this light puzzle the lights on the wall when you drop down are just way to unusually to just be random. I can't test this out until next week so if someone has the time go for it!

1 RespuestaI'm curious as to whether or not the numbered grid system in the room before the dance hall has something to do with it. On each wall there's a sequence of numbers, also the coolant tanks (or whatever those cylinders are) have me curious.
-
It does appear to be a solution, but on the thing at the bottom, the circle bits are at different positions, and each square has many different squares around them
-
2 RespuestasI think this is the Basketball Court of Oryx of Wrath of the Machine. It's a neat addition to the raid, but it does nothing for the raid but shits and giggles.
-
1 RespuestaEditado por ooNEREUSoo: 9/26/2016 1:46:33 PMThe correct pattern to light them up is in the design on the floor tiles in the room below
-
Could be, we do have yet to discover the solution to the fifth laser wall.
-
5 RespuestasNope. I believe those plates may be connected to the 5th monitor...which would require one team member stay back in the server farm area.
-
It's were you break out the Micheal Jackson dances and strut your stuff. Joking aside, no idea if those light panels do anything, and that grid down there are sockets for some sort plug. It doesn't seem to have any relation. However, never can be too sure.

6 RespuestasEditado por ARCANE2627: 9/26/2016 7:50:04 AMI have a theory. It's nuttier than squirrel poop but hear me out. Stepping on the panels causes them to light up. In Michael Jackson's music video to Billy Jean he dances along a pavement (sidewalk to our American cousins) & the paving slabs light up as he steps on them. The Challenge Dance that became available from Eververse Trading when Rise of Iron dropped is taken from the Beat It dance routine & during last years Festival of the Lost Tess was selling the Thriller Dance. Coincidence? Perhaps if you get all 6 members of your fireteam to do one of those dances on the illuminated panels it will deactivate the final laser grid allowing access to the final chest awarding you with the year 3 Fatebringer, starting the 4th exotic quest or confirming Half-life 3 or something? Or maybe Sonic Wolf is right & it's just a dance floor like a nod to the hidden room in King's Fall which was just the basketball court of Oryx.

4 RespuestasEditado por WhoDat_617: 9/26/2016 6:23:40 AMNot to mention it was one of the more memorable clips from the teaser, and Bungie even used a screenshot of it as the blog's main photo this week. There's gotta be some significance to it other than it being a rad dance floor.
-
My buddy was trying to figure it out last night. He gave up after much wasted time.
-
When I stand on the lighty square it better light up .
-
3 RespuestasHave you tried dancing on them with each owl sector buff. One buff on each square.
-
1 RespuestaDance man, it's a disco floor
-
Methinks it has to do with the monitors. Get all the monitors up to that point then stand in a certain pattern = profit?
