Dear (select few) Omingul farmers.
So this happened. Running random strikes and Omni pops. Not a word from the other 2 the entire strike until after I ran through the ogre part into the first room. I cleared all the trash minus a Knight when I get a party invite. I accept and immediately I'm getting yelled at. I chose not to respond until they calmed down. They're upset because they wanted to farm her, and then asked me if I had autism because I went to the boss room.
(Which I do not take as in insult. I've taught autistic kids and some of them are smarter than most adults Ive met and they tend to find the more efficient way to do stuff. Of course that depends on where in the spectrum they fall.)
I then told them that she can be farmed on normal and maybe they should have said something to me before we got there and or get a 3rd they know instead of expecting a random to read their minds. They told me to solo her and they were gonna sit back and waste my time. I said OK. Used my sidearm and took my sweet time. They ended up leaving when she was about 10%. I laughed and finished the strike. They could have avoided the whole ordeal if they would have said something from the start. Heck I would of gladly left. Communication is key. Meanwhile I feel like a badass for the solo kill. Good luck out there and try to remember to be nice lol.
Edit 1. Thank you for everyone that understood my perspective on this situation. That the focul point wasn't that I had anything against farming but that simply talking could have prevented grief on both sides. And much respect for the positive understanding of autism. If any of you happen to be on Xbox-one please feel free to friend request me or even a clan invite would be appreciated. HFGL

2 RespuestasOnly thing I struggle with "pick-ups" is... Heroic burn modifiers, we were all over this in Year 1 suddenly it seems like everyone has either forgotten about them or don't quite "get it". More than happy that people should play what they are comfortable with and yes everyone (well some) have by now got their shiny year 3 Gjallerhorn which does solar damage. I can promise you, while it may be "easy" shooting stuff with an equal light arc rocket launcher, this week, is twice as effective (but less in vogue).

Yeah It's a little silly that people expect randoms to understand. I don't think you've got the right to chew someone out until you've tried everything and they still don't listen or comply in some fashion.

Lulz nice I coulda done one better. I hate situations like that. People who purposely try to hinder u by not doing anything. So many times I've messaged people in strikes who just sit down and say "I'll start moving when u do" If I were in your position I would just told them "that's fine, I'm not gonna solo her. I'm gonna sit next to u and put a movie on on my other tv" Stuff like that usually promos them to leave pretty quick and make room for people actually looking to play

My dad gave me a book a long time ago, that talks about how the mind works and how people denounced with disabilities like autism, actual have brilliant minds, if it werent for a "computing" error. Doesnt say it eXactly like that, but it was a long time ago. As far as communication, that is the key to lots of things. Not just gaming. Communication is key people!

This happened to me exactly how you just said it, I even told them they should've grouped up in 3 so they didn't have to deal with a random. Anyhow they left after and some randoms joined and we completed it.

1 RespuestaWow, some Guardians can be complete pieces of Crap. I have been there, I join a strike, I am trying to finish a quest etc. and I am trying to finish and all messages and span. If they wanted to farm for omnigul, why not create a fireteam. Then they would go with that. Also most likely someone has already posted this! Didn't Bungie implement the Skeleton Key and Chest to either slow or stop farming for specific strike weapons?

Happened to me once. I spawned in and one of them instantly messaged me saying f-off and leave.... soloed the first room then ran ahead then left. :)

Had a similar run in with a set of Neanderthals I court of Oryx a month ago. Was helping my cousin get some loot because he was New. This gets every other one but after the first one they start intentionally letting theirs time out. We got a message twenty minutes after leaving with them whining about taking turns (they activated every other one) and talking crap because we barely finished our last stolen rune. Told them to let it go but he must have been twelve because he kept messaging me going on and on about common courtesy. First time I've ever had to block and report someone.

3 RespuestasI just had fun running heroic strikes, got everything to 365 and reran them for an afternoon to get 365s to infuse to my other characters. Now I have a 370 and two 368s when I move my weapons around.

A blue berry joins and does the "no, no, no" emote, kills her and then sends me a message saying, "you're not farming omnigul." It originally didn't bother me since we both really didn't care, but after the message we decided to be douchebags back. We kept dying and let him solo the rest. He rezzed us a couple of times at omnigul and we kept dying. I sent him a message back saying "I got all day fam." Long story short, after 30mins of him failing, we were turning into skeletons waiting for this guy to prove a point. We decided to rez ourselves and run circles around this guy and killed her in like 30secs. Moral of story, don't be a -blam!-ing prick. If people are farming, join them or leave.
