Skill Based Match Making! Can we please just freaken get rid of it! Noone likes it! Absolutely no one likes it. You can't just play a regular PvP match anymore without having to try ur balls off with the same weapons to keep up. (TLW, Shotgun, Hawksaw) If I Wana play all try hard 24/7 there should be a dam playlist for that. You get punished for using diff weapons out of the meta because other wise you can't keep up because very one is on your skill or higher and is going to shred you unless you use these weapons. Take a note from COD and get rid of it! It's so frustrating and not FUN in any way of the matter. You listen for nerfs but you won't listen for this. Come on bungie.

7 RespuestasI spent a long time disliking SBMM until I played with a group of really skilful top tier players and found out what a lack of it would be really like. It takes an innate ability as well as practise to become that good at an FPS. In the same way no amount of practise could make me a a Tiger Woods at golf or top of any other sport. The git good argument is simply impossible, I am as good as I will ever be, far too slow in my reaction times. They run literally rings around me in Rumble. They are great people, whom I like talking too, but way above my league. It is totally demoralising to constantly be at the bottom of the leaderboard, it is no fun to be stomped on time and time again. This is a game, I play to have an enjoyable experience with a chance of winning a few encounters. It's already a challenge for me at the lower levels, l do not play to provide cannon fodder for good players wanting to slum it and stomp on us lesser players. If SBMM was ever removed then I, and I am sure many others, would no longer play. In order to survive the Destiny player base, good, bad and indifferent must be retained.

3 RespuestasI dont think SBMM is in Destiny just an excuse people use i think its the weapons they pretty much gave people. 1000 yard stare / Conspiracy Theory-D list goes on
-
3 RespuestasMy issue with SBMM is that my friends can't play with me without getting destroyed just because they're in a different "skill bracket" from me.
-
2 RespuestasI was a shotgun user but got bored with it and switched to sidearms.... so tired of slide shotgun. I think sidearms should stop someone mid slide
-
2 RespuestasGet rid of sbmm and incorporate mercenary playlists, where there are no fire teams aloud!
-
Bump. I'm getting sick of getting my ass beat by sweaty ass tryhards all the time
-
10 RespuestasI bet less skilled players like it.
-
1 RespuestaYour argument against sbmm can be said by every player in Destiny. They could certainly looosen the algorithms so top tier players like yourself don't suffer laggy matches, no one deserves that. But to say that "I can't relax" or "I need to try my ass off to win" is what everyone does, regardless of skill. And now you have private matches for when you want to play your friends or "chill"
-
1 RespuestaThere is a difference between a try hard and lag There is a difference between skill and lag SBMM creates player distance.player distance creates lag
-
You speak only for yourself.
-
You mean people want to get on and chill on pvp without sweating? What a concept!
-
3 RespuestasWhile you want to be able to relax and go against people of lower skill, the people that are of lower skill don't want to go against top tier people either. Who likes going into a match to get completely steam rolled because there is no skill balancing in the matchmaking equation? I am probably just barely above average, and I know I don't want go against stacked top tier teams that are just pubstomping for fun. I like going against people of my caliber while getting better and moving to the next tier.
-
wasnt great to begin with but the recent match making settings change for me has made it 100 times worse. anyone under a full green bar lags like crazy. play a team and one of them is red bar and you may as well drop ya controller and go make a snack and enjoy it because the ninja buff seems to apply across everyone on that team.. only the fact that the drops are increased right now and I still dont have a pc+1 with any range perks (10 dropped and all reload or stability build, fcuk my rng) so I am really trying to drop one prior to RoI.

1 RespuestaThis is worse in iron banner bro. Preaching to the quire dude, I don't understand why they just don't add in better guns that keep one upping each other with no specific advantage people will use different guns. But no they want to be so lazy just giving us bare minimum, "The players have one really good weapon ok we are done adding weapons for the next 6-7 months." That is bungies mentality now, friggin A-holes.

Agreed I hate it as well the teams are so uneven now...
-
3 RespuestasSpeak for yourself. There's nothing fun when the teams are grossly uneven. Even if you're on the team that wins by 10k it's boring as fuc.
-
I had a sabbatical a before the summwer, and I am finding it hard to get back into things. I wish I had not had the time away from Destiny now.
-
I like the idea of skill based matchmaking, but the connections in destiny really shit the bed so I would like a connection based one
-
5 RespuestasIt doesn't even work properly. If you're a good player wanting to relax just team up with a few 0.xx k/d players and you'll feel like a god again. Stupid system as it quite evidently doesn't protect noobs which it's supposed to. Add that to laggy matches and the general negativity it's spawned from the community then surely the conclusion is that it's a failed system. Return to year one matchmaking or make ranked and unranked playlists. Personally I can see the latter occurring with destiny 2 after the latest MLG publicity.
-
10 RespuestasI like it and I'm part of the majority so sucks to be you. But to be serious about this I face people with your stats all the time regardless. If you have a bias interpretation from trials that's population. Low skill doesn't bother with it leaving only high skill. If you just mean regular pvp bungie has already said lag is what drives people away from sbmm not the skill challenge. Despite what you say numbers don't lie. High skill players stay regardless of challenge with less tolerance for lag, while low skill players bail when they are consistently outmatched. Bungies goal is population retention. I have always played to have fun not win. Now I get to have fun because of that. If you really want a casual game make another account on your system and have fun. Don't strive for stats and there you go. Sbmm with minimal lag is healthy for the game

BUMP!!!!

The amount of games I've joined where I'm down one or two players is too high. I'm normally top 3 for every match I play too which bugs me because everyone else won't play objective or even bother to move from one spot on the map. Playing solo in crucible is just a pain nowadays compared to year 1.
-
it doesn't work anyways. It just took 7 matches just to be on the lead long enough to get 3 kills. Totally, completely useless.
