I farmed for Imago Loop every way possible. My results are as follows.
Drop rate base percentage of [b]Imago Loop[/b] from [b]The Undying Mind[/b]
Director Mode :: 2% Chance
Level 36 Playlist :: 2% Chance
Heroic Playlist :: 2% Chance
Nightfall :: 20% Chance
The only places I've ever gotten a loop is Director & Nightfall. It seems that you LEGENDARY ENGRAM chance is higher on the Heroic Playlist, but it seems to use your strike specific chance up if a legendary engram drops instead. Best way if it's not the nightfall? Director!
That way you can do it over & over without having to leave a ton of games & risk getting reported.

In the past year, that is easily the best answer to this question I've seen. Must've been tedious recording those numbers to get your percentages, but on behalf of everyone who sees your post that has wondered like I have, thank you

No problem! To get the data I ran 50 of each and used average drop rate. I've checked drop rates on all nightfalls so far and it seems that when the strike is the nightfall, exclusives have a 100,000% chance increase. And while that sounds like a lot, all it does is add a 0 behind the standard drop rate. Out of all exclusives, Imago loop has the lowest. I have no data on Echo Chamber. Also, when a strike is the nightfall, the rewards are increased for that strike no matter where you play it. Example, this week, doing the Valus strike from the Director, yields the same chance of getting Treads Upon Stars as doing the nightfall. If that makes sense?

It does and thank you again. And I like statistics haha so I knew you weren't exaggerating with your percentiles. Now I've seen a method where you can get to the restorative mind, kill it and then yourself at the perfect moment for it to loot splode right as you're screen darkens so you respawn at the boss again but with his drops as well. Have you ever tried this?

Yes! I have done the "DoT boss kill method" but drops are diminished from I've experienced, it seems that the game generates a random chance at the START of the strike and uses that until returned to orbit. I haven't tested that enough to know, however. Comparing my Undying Mind runs (I did full runs each time) I got ~55 loops out of 125 kills. Another user here on the forums got over 200 kills but did the Dragon's Breathe farm and managed less than 40 loops.

You got 55 imagos out of 120 runs of the undying mind??? From the director too?

When it was the nightfall week I got 55. Combination of nightfall and director. Before it was nightfall, I ran it 81 times in director before I got my first drop. Ran it ~50 in heroic with 0 drops.

Wow... It sucks because Evho Chamber will never be nightfall since it's a PS exclusive... I guess I can see why I only see like one guy with the strike gauntlets a month... If even. Rarest armor I see by far.
